Well mine arrived, and out of the box it was utter rubbish. I had the same issue with BBs hooking to the left. It also wouldn’t get though a mag without venting gas and the mag dropped out every other shot. Taking apart the hop and putting it back together seemed to have fixed the hooking to the left issue (there was also way too much hop out of the box, it was over hopping .3g BBs) The mag catch screw was loose and tightening that seems to have fixed the random mag drops. A spray of silicone into the BBU seems to have improved the gas efficiency so it will at least finish a mag. (I also expect this to get better with more use as the piston head swells to a better seal). Is it the best airsoft pistol I have ever had, no it’s a long long way short. Even a bog standard WE Glock will out perform it in every way, however I can’t help but like it, because it is a skirmishable MK3 hi-power and it feels just right. I even like the trigger as it really does feel like a real HP (which is the first RS pistol I learned to shoot with) it has the same slightly long and ‘grindy’ take up which releases the mag safety and then a break like a glass rod. I don’t think it is fair to crono it or test accuracy until it’s broken in a bit, but I expect both to be no more than ok, but fine for a skirmish back-up, that will go awesomely with my MP5 GBBR for that full SAS vibe. As noted above The hop is beyond primitive, so the only replacements are going to be OEM WE Parts. The brass grub screw that applies the hop is also comically tiny, I can see that working its way lose and disappearing into thin air at a skirmish so once the hop is set right I’ll use a pin to dab a tiny blob of thread lock into the edge of the tread in the hope that it will work it’s way down a bit and it is enough to stop it vanishing.

Sorry to interrupt the current line of conversation guys, just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. Eagle6 have MWS mags in stock right now. I picked up four for my new MWS along with a nozzle spring set as a backup since I'm running green gas. There must be a bug on the site because UK domestic delivery was going to cost me £55, so I ticked the box to ask for a separate delivery quote and they charged me £11 instead. Very reasonable of them to do that! Lastly, this is my first GBBR and I love it, but has anybody got any tips for getting rid of the "mush" on the trigger before the break? Should I clean out my trigger unit? Its an expensive gun so I don't want to buy aftermarket parts for a long time. Thanks guys.

Well jkarmy has had one of my large orders for a month now (all parts were in stock) but sent me my 3rd order of parts so im stuck without a bcg 3 mags and a few odds and ends. But anyway the G&P/Guns Modify parts showed up and are in and awaiting the real steel furniture.

Ironically the longer i've been playing the less complicated my loadouts have got. You make a very good point about the stigma though.

I might hit up Redwolf UK and put in for a Pre-Order. Basically it seems like its going to be very similar internally to my Ares Soc-AR. EFCS, I imagine its the same V6 a-like gearbox with angled motor.

Ok so after reading some of the comments and having a closer look at the parts laid out in front of me I think I have a plan for an upgraded hop solution. Basically I plan to buy a new barrel (probably a crazy jet) that is at least 30 mm longer than the current stock barrel. I’ll cut it to length and then modify it fit it using the existing fixing. I can then cut a proper hop window in it and glue a bit of hop rubber into the space (basically an R hop), but I might actually use the bit of a ML with the contact patch as I don’t think the tiny brass set screw offers enough travel for a true R-hop to work. The other option being drilling out the hole for the hop adjuster to use a longer set screw, but I’d like to avoid this so I can change it back to stock. I can then glue a 5mm (Ish) square cut from a tin can to the top of the hop to spread the pressure from the brass screw evenly. if it works it will be a big improvement, will be totally reversible and will only cost the price of a barrel and hop rubber. If it doesn’t then I’ll only have wasted £20 ish. I won’t be able to get round to it for a week or two, but I’ll try and take some photos when I do and report back.

Just one note on the review, the outer barrel is removable. There is a grove in the top of what would be the chamber that allows it to pass over the feeder under the nozzle. You just need to line it up properly (a little pressure on the nozzle may also be needed).

Centre of gravity is the term you're after. Problem is that can has about 4mm thick steel in places, so its super heavy. Probably will run her as standard unless i'm for a night game with the tracer on, an e&l ak isnt exactly a featherweight before you start hanging heavy things on it

disassemble the trigger box and lube all contact surfaces, it helps a bit. The most drag is on the small part here, I think it needs shimming as it scratches the unit body.

Vortex Strike Eagle added. Damn this optic is good. I mean real good. Plonked it on top of a Vortex 2” offset cantilever mount. Quality kit. Period. Now I can see what I’m shooting at. Whether I hit anything is another matter 😂

What did you do??? Mine is currently in the back of a UPS truck so I’d be interested to know for when it arrives later today.

I've disassembled the hop unit and had a fiddle. Now shoots at 315fps 🙃 Going to test accuracy...

agreed, if there's one thing i dislike in this hobby it's the ones who won't cut the new guys some slack. i remember having to explain to a kid that his cyma ak was a perfectly good gat and he didn't need to go dropping loads of money on another gun just because it was 2 tone. lets face it as long as you play honestly and fairly does it matter how long you've been at it or how shiny your toys are? now that's not a bad idea. i did donate some kit to a mate who's just starting out, figured it'd get him over that hill of thinking he needs to buy more stuff to be effective.

Hahaha, preeeeeach! I’ve found the best way of clearing out those bits and bobs (outside of offering them up during a game day) is slinging them in as freebies to folks that purchase something similar/related from me. Bought some mag pouches? Take a free ‘cheapo’ utility pouch. Bought some mags? Take a free speedloader. So on and so forth, I’d much rather things get used than sit gathering dust until they go thrown out and end up in a land fill.

The MPA 'valve' was sacked due to coming loose despite threadlock etc and I read on here at the time Ra tech was the way to go and it has been great and fits well in the ag nozzle which was swapped from the original after minor damage when the nozzle return spring finally snapped (5000 RDS I reckon). As for the lower readings on the spread sheet that is because 1. I was shooting 0.30's and 2. I was playing some very close cqb trying out a possible new site and I wanted lower joules. Skip to the 25th October I've wound it open again for field play and winter. Blue is propane, yellow is a test of Mapp gas (rothenberger). (Edit - the diff' is the difference between max and min FPS over 10 shots fired) As for the consistency initially I thought it was due to magazine age and type, mags 1,2 and 3 I believe are the older type 1 magazines 4,5 and 6 type 2's, all are shot in the same conditions at the same time on propane filled to the top (liquid gas spurting) with the same batch of bb's. all are green gas modified (cut 10mm past the valve) and I believe the greater variance is easily made up for with the larger capacity of gas which doesn't appear to affect accuracy at all giving me approximately 50mm groups. The mags are weighed prior to bb's to ensure their full, I believe if they were less full i,d get better consistency. What would be cool if anyone interested next time they do a test they add their results to the XL sheet for comparison which could be a good benchmark for certain setups? Cheers P.s. Its a mix, i still tend to carry a fair amount (refusing to use hicaps ever will do that for you) but its things like not putting that flashlight on the gun unless you need it, not carrying things like bayonets, speedloaders and spare bags of ammo if you can last the round with the mags you have. Even camo, sure i still wear it but the focus is more on comfort and freedom of movement than being a walking hedge. Of course the downside is ending up with boxes full of bits and bobs that are perfectly fine but you dont use/dont fit your style and arent worth the hassle of selling

I'm much the same, I've been through the 'trying to replicate actual military personel' thing carrying a whole heap of extra weight and had a great time while doing so... but as I've got older the less I'm carrying on me the better. Going back to basics, so to speak, while having enough playing experience to know what I do and don't want to be lugging around all day has definitely made me enjoy the game more. Not to say there is a right way to do it, but that's the right way for me.

I think it's a problem born by folks feeling they can't turn up looking like they're new to the hobby (there is certainly a weird stigma around rentals), and feel it's much better to show up 'all gear, no idea'. The cost can ramp up so quickly, especially if you start to go outside of the things you actually need. I think we're all aware that the return on our investments won't tend to be great, two tone only exaggerates that further. It's an easy to hobby to get carried away with and end up some real financial problems from if you're not careful, listings like that one are a pretty painful reminder. If Mr Horus happens to read this, I suspect you'd be lucky to get half of what you paid for everything back... but your best bet of being able to clear the lot would be individual listings. At the very least separating out the RIF and the gear.

I was out taking photos again on saturday. It was damp and windy, about half the trenches were still filled with about 2.5ft of water and a lot of the grass was boggy. Had two folk fall into the trenches and one do a spectacular slide/slip into the boggy bit. Sadly I missed them all with the camera! Numbers were on the low side, but I reckon thats cause the forecast was awfull.

The only 2 guns I have now. KWA MP9 with the Airsoft Artisan retractable stock. TM Recoil M4A1 that I've tried to turn into a Mk18. Might not be exact but I'm happy with it so far. Recoil has all the bells and whistles and a Titangate NGRS Mosfet installed.

Still testing but I can say its the worst WE I've used. Pretty much the same as the P35 Very light weight. Trigger feel is not great The Hop IS adjustable but with a tiny screw on top of the hop that can only be adjusted by taking out the inner barrel. I'm still investigating but it doesn't shoot straight at the moment. (BB's are flying significantly left) Fps is 280 I've modded it to disable the magazine safety. I may do a video review of it
