Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Albiscuit and 5 others reacted to FreeFrag.UK for a topic
@Lee_3120Airsoft As others have stated, the purpose of this thread is to highlight adverts which are potentially exploitative or (as the title says) living in the clouds. If you look back over the last few pages or so there have been various adverts which have received criticism for a variety of reasons but namely due to over ambitious pricing. Just because you paid £120 (example price) for something doesn't mean it retains that value, or even 90% of that value. Quite the contrary, as virtually all goods in airsoft are subject to wear and tear thus increasing depreciation. You also need to factor in manufacturer, model and condition. In this particular instance you're attempting to sell a HFC pistol, a brand which is far from well regarded and which is firmly in the budget end of the price spectrum due to the product quality and usual pricing. Unfortunately in this particular instance it sounds as though you got caught you by one of the more nefarious retailers in the market and overpaid significantly. I'd also suggest taking time to consider the advert itself. If you're looking to sell something then right off the bat you need to have high quality pictures which show what you're attempting to sell at its best, something which your current advert completely fails to do. Secondly you need to price the item accordingly, based on the above criteria, should you have uncertainty or doubt about it's value there's always the appraisal section of the forums. Finally the way you decide to communicate and interact with the community goes along way. As it stands you're new to the community here with no previous seller/buyer feedback and with no post history on this forum, something which will immediately sound alarm bells for most. While it's disappointing to hear that a product you paid for is worth significantly less than you expected you have a few different choices when it comes to the way you react. The most productive reaction would have been to seek advice from the community, there's a staggering wealth of knowledge here and no end of helpful people. Alternatively you could have elected to ignore the post here and leave your advert as is (in the hope someone picked it up) or adjusted your advert accordingly. The last choice was to react in the exact way you did, which was to become defensive and abusive, something which will never garner a positive result. Where you go from here is up to you but as a first impression on this community it leaves a lot to be desired.6 points -
Please do, that’s one of the reasons I got my recent car £8k less than he advertised it for.3 points

Has to be said bud this is without a doubt the best explanation I’ve ever seen on any kind of social interaction media in near 20yrs of Airsofting . It was perfectly crafted (only word to describe it) ! it truly is absolutely the best I’ve ever read period . Just such a crying shame it’s been wasted on this snotty little spunktrumpet ! Say’la’vie !2 points -
Pretty much everything on their site is "on sale", all the time. If you paid £160 for that, you paid twice as much as you should have. You realise that in order for someone to want to buy your manky mess of a pistol from you, that you have to offer it for less than the lowest price that it can be had for brand new, right?2 points

Interestingly it's actually against the pp t&c to charge it as extra...2 points -
mine's not arrived yet but ive ordered the vortex too. Worth it all day long in my opinion. never loose zero because it's real steel and the warranty is fantastic. Why sped £50 on an airsoft replica that'll either break or get shot out. I can shoot out a vortex and they'll just give me a new one, no questions asked.2 points

THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

The HurricanE kit is the nicest replica currently on the market, made of stamped steel. It is incredibly tough and the finish is exquisite. It's basically the real thing. The magazine takes the insert of an AEG M16VN mag, which is included as a 190rnd hicap. The scope can be included for extra, but I'd prefer to keep it for the 8mm one I get.I would much prefer not to post this, and I'm sure the buyer would much rather come to Bristol to see it in person before buying. I will post if needs much, but I'm not two-toning this. Thanks for looking, please PM me for questions. Pictures below:£1,000

Ah, the joys of ordering from China.. Bought a replica 551 Eotech at the end of last year. Just under a month later it arrives and it's missing the battery contacts. Tell the supplier who say no worries, they'll send a replacement. 2 months later.. nothing. Contact them again. They say they'll send another parcel. It arrived today, 7 months after initial purchase and I shit you not the contacts for this are missing too.1 point -

First of all it isnt food it is dirt from a skirmish which can easily be cleaned with a wipe, Secondly the pistol from just bb guns is on sale and originally costs £160 aha. Why go round commenting on peoples sales, if you dont like something dont look at it or buy it waste of time mate.1 point -

Just got permission from kent police to build a mortar/howitzer for airsoft which uses 12 gauge blanks to propel the shell. Now to start designing =D1 point -
Price was great, but my word, the sass! "Price include postage buyer pays paypal fee" So, when I ask him to clarify, apparently it's really easy and I could've found out myself using a PayPal calculator. If it's so easy to find out the PayPal fees, why not include the info in the advert? Or just up the price by £3 to cover it? Does my head in.1 point

Oh way cool then, one day! (I will get my license) Yoi certainly don't need the Super Nub for range purposes but you will still benefit from the tighter grouping it gives, especially left/right flight deviation.1 point

When it comes to red dots.. something to bare in mind. If you have an astigmatism in your eye(s), you will never see a clean dot. One of my friends didn't realise that he had one and just assumed all red dots were a little blurry. 100% recommend the Vortex Optics though - they are worth every penny.1 point
