Are you moving the adjusters in the correct direction? If the point of impact of the BB is down and left of where the red dot is pointing then you move the adjustment in those directions. As mentioned above, try moving one complete turn on each adjuster, then shoot again at the same aim point as before and see where the BB impacts the target. If that makes no difference, try another 360 degree turn on each. If it's still hitting the same point then probably the adjusters are broken and you should return it as faulty. If it is changing the impact point, then go to smaller adjustments until you get it spot on.

  2. SOPMOD batteries are shite, the gun itself is awesome. Get someone with a monster soldering iron to put a deans connector onto the contact bars in the stock (it's very simple with a powerful enough iron) and just use standard LiPo batteries. I use these: http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-lipo-battery-101mm-long.html They're a bit of a squeeze to fit in the tube down the side of the stock, but they definitely DO fit. I wouldn't advise getting any of the battery adaptors, they're all really expensive for what they actually do.

  3. I think you are overthinking it a little. If it's raining hard enough to interfere with the workings of an AEG, Then everyone without mesh goggles will most likely be fogged up and in the safe zone having a brew, and those three that are left out will be fed up of having wet socks after an hour or two.

  4. Can't help noticing that there are many new players on here, which is always healthy. Got me thinking about some of the prejudices and preconceptions that new players have about milsim games when they have just experienced skirmishing. I must start by saying that I have met some dyed-in-the-wool milsimmers who have very "pure" views about milsims. In fact, we have experienced prejudice from established milsim players who say that you have to be wearing specific real world kit and only 2 or 3 day continuous games are worth doing. Everybody is entitled to their view and there are milsin organisers that cater for this need. Our games were deliberately designed for players who didn't subscribe to this. On our first game, we had people who had never played airsoft before and rented from us. They followed the loadout rules, played as rebels and had a fine old time. They brought their imaginations and really that was all that was really needed. In subsequent games, we find a lot of players have never done any milsim before. Last game, we had more milsim virgins and they are coming back for the next game. A lot of skirmishers get the idea that milsim is deadly serious and you have to salute and call people sir and wear about 2k worth of real steel gucchi gear. T'aint so !!

My newest guns, and the three I'll be using the most throughout NAE later this month. Top one is a CYMA AK, I added a rail system, which required some "dremelling" to get it to work, (I guess it was designed for a AK47, not a 74 style front end..?) The Middle one is a Black FNX-45 Tactical, just got this today, really awesome kick on it, got it for £115 on Airsoft-worlds new auction thingy. considering their "sale" price is £150, not too shabby for a brand new pistol. Bottom is my ICS L85, got an Elcan for it, currently It's got a G36k flash hider on it because the pistol took all of my money and made me poor lol.

As nick said above you would need a Buffer tube, Crane stock and a rewire to the rear for a cranestock battery.

You can change the stock for a crane stock which will house the battery but this means you'll have to rewire it to the rear That's a dummy peq box & if you know nothing about airsoft weapons then I would leave it as it is until your more knowledgeable & capable of tackling things yourself

  15. Just a few days to go now until our Operation Firestorm. Looking forward to it immensely. Its not until you start loading the props, kit, weapons and SFX into the vehicles for the journey to Eversley that you realise the enormity of it.

  16. Welcome Lord Daem, I'm sure some of the fine folks on this ere forum will be able to point you in the direction of a suitable band of merry men. As for skirmish site you got UCAP Sandpit in Kent, iv not been there yet but all the lads I play with rave about it.

Try bigger tweaks to the adjustments. They are not as sensitive as you'd think. Some of the cheaper clones actually have it moving in the opposite way that they're marked. Set up your iron sights and holographic sight and give it a big adjustment until you actually see it change alignment with the iron sight, then fine tune it.

  18. These are a few stores I've used and liked in the states with good selections of kit: http://www.optactical.com/ http://www.skdtac.com/ http://www.tacticaldistributors.com/ http://www.us-elitegear.com/ When buying from the states, never do so unless they have a sale on. These stores have sales of varying degrees literally every single holiday or event throughout the year. Christmas, halloween, easter, black friday, memorial and veterans weekends, 4 July, thanksgiving... etc etc etc. They happen so often that the most you'll ever have to wait if you've just missed one is another month or so tops. But if you want the slightly less common stuff like MC Black and specifically ATACS-LE, this HK store is probably the best option overall: http://www.ur-tactical.com/

Yeah a common issue, can buy a riser which is essentially just another rail to go inbetween. 'Airsoft Scope Riser' is the key words http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/index.php?cPath=275_383_559_564&osCsid=bc4ca6cf3a15aaa6fac5f603518e03cd

  24. The real thing to be mindful of either way is that space where the butt plate clips onto the stock is at a premium: on my HK416 I quite often have to readjust the wires a few times to close it as they get caught and on my Recce rifle I have to push a load of the wiring down one of the two side tubes on the stock and that just about fits. I thought about cutting some of the plastic out on my HK416 but I don't see the point for what amounts to a minute or two of faffing with the wires. What Lozart is suggesting looks fine I am just not sure if it would effect the space in the stock and you will have to pay for it either way. You can also get gold contact bars which have better conductivity(which could be highly neglible) but are meant to be easier to solder a section of wire onto. The other option is a baton adapter but it locks off one of the two tubes so I really can't see the point as you will be running a crane stock battery(1 in each tube). If for the sake of argument you want to sell the gun in a couple of years time, outside of some very eccentric people no one is going to want to have to buy SOPMOD batteries.

  25. Trust me, we (the orange team) had plenty of rentals that couldn't tell the difference between friendly and enemy. Or what a hit was. Or how far away they could actually hit something. Still.....it was a laugh. Me and my buddy Greg bailed out before the last game though. I got hit in the top of the head which made me actually feel a bit sick and he'd only had 3 hours sleep. Combined with endlessly being shot by our own team and the non hit taking I very nearly had a sense of humour failure so we decided discretion was the better part of valour and left. Did you see the door shatter in the afternoon though? That was EPIC!

    Gaming in 2015

to be honest, I am wondering if I should buy a standard copy to play and pass on the pip boy edition to a more passionate follower of the series. For me it is a novelty item but it could be a valuable addition to a serious collector. It is not like I would actually use the phone holder anyway. Or wear the t shirt (I think I am getting that too)!

  27. authenticity! This is why I have been very picky about finding the right ICS L85 to match my loadout. It must remain externally authentic which could be L85A1 or A2 since I personally transported my squadrons weapons to Warminster for refurb/upgrade. No rails, ACOG, vertical foregrips etc because they were not in service when I served

  28. GBBRs Cold: Not unless you're using a high powered gas like Guarder High Power or Nuprol 3-4 (though through my testing Guarder is slightly superior). Wet: Fine. Gas system - all parts will be metal or plastic and there shouldn't be any electronics. You'd want to dry and relube when you get home though. GBB pistols Cold: I'd say fine most of the time in the UK, but some higher strength gas wouldn't go amiss. Wet: Fine, but many use cheaper internals that may rust quicker if you don't dry and relube them when you get home. HPA Cold: Fine (air does not change density easily with varying temperatures). Wet: Depends. Polarstar, SMP etc. do have electronics and need proper sealing. Pnumatic systems like Daytona Guns are inherently waterproof what with just being a huge lump of metal. Spring Cold: Fine. Wet: Depends. Rifle stocks like to fill with water, but rain will be fine. Just don't dump it in a puddle. AEGs Cold: Fine. Wet: Mostly not fine - particularly cheaper ones with poor fit and finish externally can let water in during heavy rain, but mid-range stuff will be fine. Also there are ways of waterproofing (see Systema mods etc.).

Custom totally slick panels to replace the rails on my TM SCAR-L. Came up with the idea a long time ago and after managing to find someone with the mill and skills necessary they're finally installed; further write up with more info on my page if anybody's interested.

    Noobs and Milsims

Not to tread on Okto's toes, but to add something to the current discussion. I actually did a bit of reading on the site of a company that organises 'milsim' games for the first time yesterday, noticed they have quite a lot of slots open for the roleplaying side of things at their next event. http://war-zone.co.uk/live-role-play-booking-form/4589032664

Well i suppose i should bust out the guns from the Armoury then: Not shown in the list below is also my Mancraft Powered TM VSR-10, still some stuff to do to that like getting a wooden stock and a proper more secure bipod. WE M9 Beretta in Resident Evil STARS logos etc, have about 3 Gas and 4 CO2 Mags for this thing KSC M93R in all metal construction, have about 4 x 39rds mags for this, looking to get the stock sometime later G&G G733 Revolver, got about 18 shells for this and one speed loader, got for the s**ts and giggles and is only used for back yard plinking as reloading this in a skirmish would be annoying as hell Krytac Trident CRB, just an M4, used mostly as a loan gun to friends and family when they come Airsofting, some cheapo KAC QD Silencer, Clone MAGPUL MBUS Sights and Clone MAGPUL Angled foregrip G&G MP5 A5 modified to have a different RAS Rail at the front with a PEQ box attached, got about 4 mags for this and a clone EoTech 551 holo sight, again another loan gun for friends and family KWA Kriss Vector, a heavily modified Vector, custom spray paint job done by me (and properly too disassembly, primer, paint, lacquer etc etc), got about 7 mags, ModelWorks RAS hand guard, clone SureFire Scout light, 300mm TBB inner barrel with external barrel to go with too, NPAS, Right hand Mag release set G&G TR4-18 (HK 416) This is my gun, the one that will always go with me to games, this nobody borrows, has a Gleissel Rail at the front end, KAC QD Silencer by G&P, front Vertical grip, (not shown) Real steel SureFire Scout Light, Contour ActionCam mount, Real Steel EoTech 552 Holo Sight The future, plan on getting a longer barrelled M4 like weapon using M4 Mags (so that mags can be interchangeable), Polarizing it and using it as a DMR with maybe a real steel Leupold Sights.

  34. TWG & GF have recently put up the free shipping Also their prices have risen too..... GF - is crap atm - they did some great deals in Jan obviously they wanted buyers to vote for them to win best retailer 5th year running Well it worked but atm their prices are more expensive than TWG But TWG shot their prices up in Jan anyway Some of this is probably down to pi$$ poor £ to $ exchange rate plus the £ to Euro rate is very good so stuff does kinda seem cheap but again most crap is bought/sold worldwide in $$$$$ - so people in France must be really feeling it TWG & GF are - or rather was really great for cheaper stuff: Cyma AK's, JG G36's, basic bolt snipers, some pistols But TWG don't do G&G & though GF sell them they are more expensive than UK Maybe those 2 cheapo places buy in massive bulk from them china gun makers and can get great discounts Where as in UK most retailers don't sell so many cheapo china makes and stick to G&G & ICS etc..... Like I said only UK retailers that can stump up decent amounts of working capital to fund say 100+ G&G's can get a good deal May not sound like much but if you take an "average" buy in cost of £100 x 100 - that's 10 grand !!!!!! compare that to say cheapo china guns at say £50 = £5,000 I think also Poland has 23% vat tax so I don't think it is down to UK import/taxing structures too much Just think most of the time many will take a chance on buying cheapo guns but if there isn't much in it then most of us will buy from home - especially if paying say £200+ on a gun that should work very well out of box Well that is my take on it anyway..... I also think UK retailers will prefer to sell G&G's ICS that perhaps might be built a little better than some china guns plus these will come in at correct UK fps limits - so less messing about for them downgrading spring etc.... Not saying cyma or jg are crap - they are quite good indeed but often may need a tweak to be ok for UK sites Perhaps UK retailers could get good discounts on Cyma/JG's but again that is if they can stump up the capital When they know say a G&G M4 will sell no problem - so is perhaps a safer investment/bet for them I have reached a point where I nigh on have most of the guns I could possibly desire for the next year or two but I am a bit pi$$ed at GF no longer doing free ship on £50 orders That wasn't a bad idea to grab a few spares, bits & accessories each month and get some nice bits for £50 alas that has gone and price rise means atm it ain't as good as it was a few months ago So I am left at present just having a swap around and make do with a fair few box of bits/upgrade/parts for now Zero One are great - but shipping is dearer than LWA but ZO 2-tone free and all that for newcomers Zero One - never had a problem - well they sent something incorrectly ordered - but was fully refunded LWA - well they messed up my first RIF order but got from Pro Airsoft so all worked out ok in the end Fire Support - another great place to buy from - not the cheapest and though I never had a problem, I have heard their customer support is second to none from a few on here I will continue to buy from any place if the price is right and they have the stock I prefer to buy local but as always try & keep my eye out for any decent savings elsewhere Don't think there is one best all round retailer at home or abroad - the prices have started to rise overseas I just wonder how long before some of those price rises start to take effect over here at UK retailers ????

  36. I see your logic but unfortunately you are wrong. If an airsoft gun is fussy about what type of BB it uses, that doesn't make it bad. It just means that it is built to finer tolerances so that it can perform better. If your gun can take any BB thrown at it, its components aren't built to a fine tolerance and as such performance isn't as good.
