You can try to diversify and approach the industry from multiple angles, I'm slowly but surely growing my YouTube channel to the point where it's profitable. I'm no where near there yet, but I'm fairly convinced that it will at least start to pay for itself sooner or later and the bigger the channel gets, the faster it picks up. Come 50k subs it ought to be fairly easy money, and that will come with its own rewards and opportunities. Getting noticed by shops, advertising deals, free kit to review etc etc. You can also charge people for tech services, and it's not impossible to make money by buying damaged guns, fixing them up and selling them on for a profit, you just need to get good at picking the right items to go for. There's a market for custom guns built to order as well, if you've got the skills to make guns that don't exist in airsoft out of guns that do... *Rubs fingers together* I know I'd pay a lot for a GBB SVU-AS

I imagine if a bb got a solid connection with an actual bollock it'd hurt a fair bit but I've only ever had a bit of sack contact which isn't that bad. With a couple of layers it's nothing to worry about. You have to be very unlucky or in something of a dubious position to get a proper smacker on a knacker. Maybe I'm over thinking it a little...

Hi All, I made up some grenade holders the other day for Sundays game While there, they got a lot of attention from other players and the local shop. So basically, I want to ask what you would pay for such a device. I plan to sell them in singles or triples. My beginning price based on my costs are £12.50 each, or 3 for £32.50 I think this is comparable with other pouches A triple M4 holder, in a good quality, would fetch around the £25 mark. These are unique and handmade. So this strikes me as reasonable They work by threading through molle (needs two horizontal strips) and locks in via velcro. Every time a grenade is inserted it applies pressure to the velcro and when the grenade is removed, the same happens So regardless of the relatively light grip of velcro, its being tightened on every use. Pop studs could also be used if preferred. So use Grenades are put in tip or base first and then clipped into the spring clips. To remove, just lever them out. Its a very natural movement. They can also be slipped out in a direct up or down movement, depending on their position. They can be used right way up or upside down. Benefits - The grenades are always in the same place and can be indexed without the need to look for them. They can be fast replenished from a separate pouch No clips, velcro or other retention is required. No need to unclip before use. . You gain consistent location, ease of draw and speed in use. You dont have to unclip your pouch, find the grenade, and then reseal the said pouch. The grenade can also be retained without the cap in place Allowing for even greater speed as you now no longer need to remove them before use. Version 2 will have striker patches added so you can draw, strike and throw without having to move your gaze from the target or operate any velcro or clips Thoughts?

I would say that a job in the airsoft world would be highly unlikely... As has been said, most manufacturers are in the east. Which basically leaves you in a minimum wage job selling guns and chatting crap to strangers... Which is possible... But how many shops really exist? Also worth noting is that engineering is far from boring... Electrical might not be type thing, but there's many, many types of engineering, doing many various things... Engineers don't fix things... They create things. If the sky people say their sending our an engineer, or a coffee machine has a sign on it saying "broken, awaiting engineer"... Then laugh at them both... And don't trick yourself into thinking "engineering isn't for me" I don't want to get my hands dirty all day... As a little aside... At uni, I want learning how to fix a photocopier... I was designing engine components...

So I'm sat in a hotel at the moment watching Second In Command. It's awful. Like, really awful. So far I have witnessed EVERY cliche know to filmkind. And did you know, that if you cut the power cables to a cctv camera - the front of it will explode? Also, guns don't have recoil (who knew, everyone who's paid for a Recoil Shock has been ripped off). And EVERYTHING ELSE. Bad guys ALWAYS stand right in front of their enemy without armour of barricades or any substantial cover, because they've got a hostage and that makes it totally safe. The American embassy has a compound with a 10ft concrete wall and a solid steel, foot thick gate. BUT, because the enemy are coming, on foot, with mixed assault weapons, they feel the need to put a wardrobe against the front door to make sure the baddies stay out. The hero is a suave tough guy with a troubled past and a strange accent, and sure, he did that thing that time where he got everyone killed, but he NEVER misses and he NEVER needs to show caution because he's such a master tactician that he makes Shih-Tzu or whoever it was (who wrote the art of war) look like a three year old mashing his head against a keyboard whilst playing My Little Pony Island Adventure. And there's oh so so so much more. It's almost as bad as Olympus Has Fallen where the SAM system deploys out of the top of the whitehouse (in the opening scenes where they shoot down the AC130, it literally pops up out of the oval office so it must be awful cramped for Obama seeing as he's three billion f**king feet tall). I'm only watching this s**t because babestation isn't on yet... What's everyone elses favorite awful war films?

Not a lot! TBH, when parcel force say it's "Stuck" at customs what they mean is it's progressing through Customs. Do you have a tracking number? If so check it every few hours on the parcel force website, the number will have changed to a UK tracking number, there's nothing wrong with importing a gearbox (I just received mine, all through customs with no issues relating to what it was), what you'll probably get though its a customs charge. UK customs can identify a lot of the Asain E-sellers so when the sender puts $5 gift they disreguard that and go with market value! I import toys regularly from China with the same issue, sometimes you're lucky though! Don't worry about it mate, they won't take it apart!

I've always held the belief that letting hobbies become jobs isn't a particularly good idea but that's purely my own opinion and it's not my place to criticise other for doing so. In the UK unless you're running a site or a shop there's very little opportunity. You'd have to look abroad in Asia where language barriers would be the first hurdle. After that getting into the job positions is something I don't think would be all that easy, these companies are small in the grand scheme of things but won't just employ anyone. No idea about pay rates, can't the imagine they are particularly note worthy unless you're high up in the companies.

TM MP7 is a beast of a gun, virtually zero maintenance required too.

That said, in snowey weather, white cam will put you at a serious advantage

Are you talking about the old-fashioned 168 round moscart shells? If so, I tended to just replace the O seals when they were playing up... found it a lot more reliable than trying to keep them 'hydrated'.

I just finished doing my AS D&T Project, i decided that i want to make a Airsoft gun rack, so here it is, what are you're thoughts? The stand also has a light built in to get more marks!

Why does it matter! There's no law against owning an IF or a RIF. There is a law against manufacturing a RIF, though I doubt anyone could accuse you of slowly rubbing paint off to do this. That said, if you've ever played airsoft then you're basically immune to prosecution even if you just painted the whole thing black on purpose anyway.
