You could play airsoft......
OH.
WAIT.
You can't

Hmm, starting to think perhaps the sig might be nearing retirement, great gun but its really starting to show its age.
Wonder what i should replace it with
-
Suddenly i feel like i need a night game, this has nothing whatsoever to do with acquiring an nv scope from here, nothing at all.....

The surefire vampire series of IR torches are very good weapon lights they pop up on real steel facebook groups every now and then. The head rotates between a white LED and an IR LED so it is basically 2 in 1 the IR signature to the naked eye is very low from those lights aswell. if you want some vids i can get some tonight for you?

let's put the magpul stock back on the m4 i thought, lets put a bolt-in mosfet kit in i thought...
4 hours later it's still not working. now i remember why i had an m16 stock on there in the first place
-
proud owner of 2 new 40 mikes, go ahead, lay the hate on me
-
well, finally after more time and money than i'm comfortable i now have an m4 with a hair trigger and a working mosfet. now all i need to do is figure out why it thinks the fully charged lipo is low

It sucks when that happens V3 boxes are so much better.
-
lol, i'll bear that in mind for when this decides it isn't going to run any more, although i need to stop spending money on airsoft for the time being.
i think it's just my curse, as soon as i get a gun running sweet i feel the need to mess with it and end up breaking something. plan was the mosfet that was in there was going into the mg but i think i'll hold off on that until after sunday
-
ahh uk customs, apparently a we 226 hop/barrel set requires a firearms declaration.....
-
after several years, finally had to replace a part on the odin

Yeah you're probably right, it is quite a 'load bearing' part, especially at the point at which the clutch essentially disengages when the magazine is full. Having said that, in this design you probably want these replaceable weak points to be able to break, so that you can easily and functionally replace them when need be.
Been thinking about purchasing a 3d printer actually, not really looked into it in much detail or know where to start and at what kinda price point. -
Right, so my brother works at a place which used to be the UKs biggest rapid prototyping / industrial scale 3d printing labs... technically not anymore as they have been taken over by Siemens, so I guess their German now 😅.
They can print with powders of pretty much any material you want, both metals and polymers. Big massive rapid prototypers half the size of rooms. So yeah anything I suggest to him, he throws some elitist shade at .

Gets maxx hop unit

If you were/are running a PDI I honestly wouldn't be considering a CJ. I would say at best it would be a sidegrade and an FPS drop.
They are popular(ish) with the Mk23 owners (they're cheap and available) and some VSR users swear by them. The marginally wider bore helps with over volumed RIFs so helps balance things up a bit.
They are sold on a lot of bluster about the end providing a vortex or whatever it is, there is rarely a mention that they are a brass barrel and nothing about the internal finish.

do i want an sv98?

well there's really only 2 things i can put down that a bolty will do that my current stock can't:
quietness- i do miss the hpa silence some times
works in winter- i do have aeg's, but the dragonuv does not like the cold
i'll maybe mull it over a while, have a krink build planned atm so that should keep my mind occupied and bank balance low for a while.
-
I recently picked up a VSR to replace the SRS I sold (because there aren't enough good woodland sites local to me to justify having such an expensive bolty). I'd find it hard to not have at least one bolty on deck. It'll never be as quiet as the SRS was, but it was also about a 3rd of the price of the SRS (at least, how I had my SRS set up).
A Krink project involving some certain repro Zenitco furniture per chance? Words cannot describe how much I regret selling on the contents of that Gunfire order. Ohh the nightmare I'm having obtaining it all again 😂🤦♂️
-
oh yeah that was you i bought that handguard set off.
yes it does involve those, and yes it really has taken me this long to get around to it
have it setup nicely with a 2dp and plan is imma hang that monster of a pbs4 on the end and run tracers in daylight like a madman.....
plans are mainly internal, gonna do a dsg build for no other reason than i'm bored and i've never seriously tried putting one together before.

Debates if he could cram an xcortech inside a makarov suppressor......
-
hmmm, do i just keep the jg as a basic mosfet or do i titan?

@Rogerborg the Titan and Warfet are very different beasts.
The Warfet relies on timing and power control where the Titan runs optical sensors. Mechanical reliability is about the same as I have seen both units fail regardless of age or usage.
Although the warfet precocking works ok the Titans will be better as it counts gear teeth which is more reliable. Also the titans trigger sensor is something the warfet can match as it is just a plug in unit.
The only thing I will say is if it fails the warfet is easier to replace so for none tech minded it is easier and cheaper. For competent people the titan is easy as takes less than an hour to fit to most gearboxes.
Other than that sorry got to disagree with Luke as would pick Titan everytime.

hmmm, so where does one go from a PDI if one wants moar accuracy?
currently debating between giving a crazy jet a go or maybe EDGI
-
Existance is pain....
-
hmmm, should my next purchase be a nice new body for the m4 (king arms reciever is getting a bit knackered) or a nice ak?

I was thinking real sword or e&l, the little jg aksu is a lovely shooter but something truly ak like is my dream

AH lets just say the cartel does you a favour and maybe someday you do the cartel a favour....Hows your rectal passage for space?
Oh I forgot to say assembly will be your responsibility and as per the law that only applies to airsoft your order will take much longer than anticipated and will meet with countless delays only to be the wrong size/make or just plain shite when you finally receive it (unfortunately this part isnt the joke)
Cheers Amigo!!!

And there we thought bog roll would be the currency of the apocalypse, turns out its omega nubs

not any more, the free upgrade has ended.

once again we find ourselves with a titan whining about not being able to see the sector gear....
remind me why i decided to double down on this insanity?
- Show previous comments 5 more

yeah, of course i don't wanna override the cycle detection cos otherwise what's the point of having a titan in there in the first place
i'll strip the box later just check everything's running ok.
in other news the warhead motor is an interesting beast, doesn't "feel" like it should be as torquey as it is but goddamn if it doesn't have insane pickup speed.
this thing has the semi response of a 40rps gun in one that's only actually doing 18, which tbf was sort of what i was aiming for.
-
Just got me combat union hop unit and all i can say is it says volumes about russian fps limits....
-
So i've been a lowa user for approximately 20 minutes and i'm already getting the hype, if they're this good now god knows how good they'll be when broken in

I’ve two pairs of the Elite desert boot , they are ‘big and clumpy’ but once there on and done up properly I genuinely can wear them all day with out any problems at all .
-
welp, busted my 2 working aeg's yesterday, had to end up running around with the vsr which does not shoot well enough to be effective.
-
Urgh, big days airsofting tomorrow and i'm not hopeful i'll be well enough to play. Damn you biology!
-
Todays casualty list- 1 eotech smashed, 1 m4 mag lost, 1 gearbox broken.
Been a while since airsoft went like that lol.

Do we have a "WHAT HAVE YOU BROKEN/LOST THREAD"? if not we should... I feel I would be able to keep it going every time I play !!

Buys gun, gun comes with tube loader
Turns out mags are a pain, you gotta use the tube
Mods tube to fit standard speedloader
This does not work
So now i have to load rounds singly.
This is the definition of hubris

@Rogerborg yep that pretty much sums it up perfectly.
i suppose at least my total ammo capacity of 160 rounds isn't that bad to fill up one by one.....
