- For sale
- As new
For sale is my never been fielded as new condition FMG9, I purchased this in June with the pre installed kit. Bought as an impulse but will most likely not use it in the future. No instructions came with this or a marked box so it will just include the kit, Gun and a standard 24rd gas tight magazine. A note to be careful when folding this back up, I’m not sure how it sits with the 50rd mags if you should choose to get one but I’d watch a video to ensure correct operation and maintenance before use and how to change fire mode. Photos attempt to show how to close The kit is released by holding upright and pushing down on the charging handle. I have not tested this in anyway so FPS is unknown as well as range & accuracy etc Sent via parcel force 48 and payment by PayPal good and services only. £190 including all fees Any question please feel free to get in touch£190

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
ButcherBill reacted to Impulse for a topic
So uhhhh... I don't even have an MTW... ... yet. Had stock notifications for a bunch of these parts and I think Empire Airsoft must've had a restock come in because I managed to get everything I wanted apart from the extended blue nub. This, combined with the fact that Wolverine now offer an MTW 308 Unleashed that comes with the Wraith X pre-installed as well as the battery grip for a lower price than the sum of their parts, means that the MTW 308 has shot up the list to the point where I'll probably pick it up end of the month. The real-steel externals can wait until next month, but with all the internal parts I wanted to experiment around with now acquired, I want to build this thing. (Stalker nubs are for the SRS as that was having issues hopping heavy ammo last Sunday, so more nubs to experiment with, as well as more rubbers that I have dug out of my parts box)1 point -

This is hands down the most reliable gbbr I’ve ever owned. It’s had no problems in the year I’ve owned it. Never let me down and never had a failure. Only selling to fund another build, and of all my gbbrs, aesthetically this is the least desired for me personally however I will definitely regret selling it. The only issues are purely cosmetic and that is down to the cheap finish VFC do, and the soft plastic hop up wheel. Neither affects performance. See pictures and video below. Full video review here It’s great, this can be used outdoors with 32s + with the hop about half way + very effectively. Or indoors with .25s with just a splash of hop as an absolute laser beam. Best out the box performance I’ve experienced. Comes as it does new with two VFC V3 V Mags. But I want to keep the car-15 stock so will instead include this lovely m4 stock which I feel suits it more better. WADSN Vortex reflex for an extra £40 i will include the front sling attachment Price plus £10 postage Sensible offers welcome but please don’t ask me my best price on it. Right now the listed price is my best price. Make me a reasonable offer please these are being sold for an extortionate £550 in the UK which is bat shit crazy. My price is fair. TRADES: VFC 416 (any) Im after an MWS ideally the CQBR. I will throw in 2 more V3 Vmags and the Wasdn Vortex UH1 for a stock MWS CQBR/M4a1£300

Patrol Base have rear wired V2 gear boxes by Delta Armory for £24.99 at the moment. Quick change spring, SHS metal toothed piston, SHS tappet plate. Only 7mm bushings, and no idea who the OEM is, but seems a good deal! https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/delta-armory-complete-version-2-gearbox-for-m4-ar-15-aeg1 point -
This is me as well. If I don’t get email notifications about it, I don’t check it for a week. Personally, I reckon it’s down to level of effort and quality of the goods. The sellers ignoring questions want your money and that’s it… if you’re inclined to ask questions, you’re probably already too much effort for them. The chances are you’d contact them once you received the goods and realised it’s not as good as you expected. Dealt with a few people over the years who sell dodgy kit and then block you once they’ve got your money and thrown it in the post.1 point

Look out for offers on local Facebook groups and/or ask local independent retailers about the boxes their deliveries come in Their commercial waste disposal costs them money, and they will have limited stock room space to hang on to boxes & other packaging Locally my friend is always listing free boxes, and ideally with quick collection. (She’ll offer ‘same day/tommorow’ collection of good quality boxes before breaking them down (so anyone who wants boxes for removals or storage needs to get them quick) but for packaging they will still be just as good, as you would be reshaping a big square box into a long rectangular box. Even better that would make you popular with the shops is the extra packaging, such as foam wotsits, bubble wrap and especially their suppliers shredded cardboard recycled into packaging. Then add an abundance of tape, a bin bag black plastic wrap and stick on your label1 point

People are skint more than ever and airsoft is a luxury hobby plus you don't need a new RIF every week compared to bread or milk. Brick and mortar shops are deemed to fail since amazon and other online retailers turned up. They killed high street shops nationwide. There are other reasons ofc but people are already mentioned it.1 point

A little*too* well, in fact! With an M95 in, and the 500mm XT barrel it was putting out 1.22J Luckily this version has a quick change gearbox so with a little rummage through my bag o'springs™ it's now a satisfying 1.1J.1 point

Great day at Red Alert yesterday. The threat of bad weather seems to have put a lot of people off but numbers were good enough for balanced teams and good gameplay! The rain didn't actually appear until around lunchtime then promptly buggered off just as we were going out for the first game of the afternoon. So that was nice.1 point

Where did your forum name originate?
nighthawkkhan reacted to TheFull9 for a topic
The social media handles all used to be REMF Tacticool as I am very much a REMF (POG, Fobbit, nonner) and love all that is tacticool. That name fit the format of '3 or 4 letter acronym/abbreviation - Tactical' as so many shops, training companies and other internet groups tend to use. I was finding most people didn't know what REMF meant though and always getting questioned on it when walking around SHOT show so I started looking around for something new. Wanted it short, punchy, somewhat familiar to folks and not too cliche within the realms of guns, gear and airsoft. The origins of the phrase 'the full 9 yards', 'give em the whole/full 9 yards' are widely debated and entirely unproven with tons of theories out there, but some years ago Forgotten Weapons posted a video telling a story of a small group of British soldiers in WW1 that using plunging fire to suppress an area they wanted to deny to the enemy; they did this using a few Vickers guns and fired constantly for something like a day or 2 days, with runners doing round trips to bring more ammo, more cooling water and changing barrels when required (Maxim type MGs are capable of doing this sort of thing). I think in that video he states that this event is the origin of the phrase, but evidence I've seen from Vickers experts suggests that's probably not case. I picked the name as some years ago there was a variant on the story that said the RFC/RAF in WW1 had a specific variant of Vickers belt which was 9 supposedly yards, which again I think has been debunked but people associate a lot with a name so I'm not changing it again.1 point -

I think the point novioman is making, is that some sellers appear to ignore questions, even when renewing ads. Thing is, often when questions are asked, the information requested is usually relevant to everyone here, such as when a seller says collection only & then fails to state their location for said collection. Alternatively members, myself included, will ask a public question because of a concern of the validity of the ad, or even the seller themselves, again this is usually intended just to give all interested parties a heads up to do due diligence before agreeing a purchase.1 point

MP5 Rigs

The solution for converting a DCS to take placards is very slick. And the spiritus etc placards are proven. The issue for me is the inserts. No offence to any one but not only is only being able to carry 4 mags is sub optimal (compare to Impulse's six on the same foot print) and also, and i suppose this is a me issue, just looks crap. I was looking at getting an MP5 a little while a go now but decided against as i couldn't find a set up I liked. I would personally go with: https://unobtainiumgear.com/products/smg-sleds-placard The GMR universal insert also looks good but a picture showing it with 6x rather than 5x mp5 banana mags is conspicuous by it's absence https://www.gmrgear.com/parasight/universal-kydex-insert1 point -
Personally I recommend what lokkers has done there; or whatever equivalent fits in with your preferences and/or current kit. You can pick any modern placard and just get the mag inserts to fit your weapons; just be sure to get the right sized inserts (e.g. 762 generally means 762 NATO, not AK) and ensure they have the right velcro alignment/config (either hook on both sides, or hook on one side and loop on the other, depends which system you buy in to). The Spiritus Mk5 is a strong option since the modern Spiritus placards are fully loop lined and most of the inserts out there are covered in hook. There's also the Spiritus Mk4 for extra capacity, the Haley D3CR-M if you want extra pouches built in, or the F9 Ammo Hub (if I might be so bold as to self promote). Tons of other options out there which are also fully loop lined and also clones of most of them.1 point

I also run a DCS, and the major downside to the design is it lacks the velcro and clips to mount placards. It's a faff to replace molle pouches during a game day. However, I've managed to get around this using a front velcro panel and some T-bar buckles. Front panel (6 Wide Loop Panel) and buckles from British Tactical (https://www.britishtactical.com/hl-adaptable-modular-system-parts/). You just mount it to the front of the plate carrier in place of your existing pouches I can now mount whatever placard I need easily and quickly. The Spiritus MK5 is my go-to for the MP5, and with the inserts it's quick to swap to 5.56 or 7.62. Added bonus - with a little more outlay, you can run the Spiritus MK5 as a standalone chest rig, which I do when it's really hot (or I'm feeling lazy). It's a really modular system.1 point

nighthawkkhan reacted to Tackle for a topic
Lol, we'll done, I've often thought about starting a similar thread when I've seen some fairly obscure usernames. Mine came from being a young squaddie in the early eighties, my surname is Dewberry, & was a big lad from a young age (6ft at 11), bigger than the recruits around me, & would get lumbered with the biggest gun, gimpy or bren usually. Around the same time police academy came out at the cinema, next thing I know one of the DS made the comparison between me & the films character Tackleberry, big guy with the biggest gun, & they stopped calling me Dewberry, Tackleberry was born👶1 point -
