I run a hard case when visiting sites, as I take a couple of different rifs, I haven’t bothered cutting foam to allow one case to be used for several pewpews I got a 5.11 Cams which I put Shadow Foam into Used it once Its just too damn big 😂4 points -

I know... as I typed it I looked at my pews and thought I don't need this big a collection either, the difference in my mind is... I can look at & enjoy my pews but a gun case is really a thing to carry them 10 feet from my front door to the boot of my car, I'll end up getting one eventually but it's low on my list of airsoft priorities (for now). One of these would be nice...3 points -

It was horrible getting into your boxer shorts elastic. Then you'd sit in the van and grind it into your waist skin. Made even worse when you got back in the seat the next morning, only to get the remnants pushed back into your skin again. Ggggrrrrrr2 points -
Ooh, now that is nice. I'm sort of lucky that i only have 4 pews, for now, and dont really have anywhere to keep them in the house so putting thw3m in cases where i can then stash them out of the way makes sense. I do, as of Saturday, have a spare bedroom so I think that might become 'The Gun Room' with them on display. Then i can add more. 😁2 points

Next time I speak to the boy, I'll ask him to go to BiCamera ... it's a Japanese tech store that has an insane range of stuff. I seem to remember going through their toy section and there being some really cool looking models. Not sure how much assembly they require, or the brand names. Perhaps they'll be available some how through mail order some where. Another idea would be to find a Warhammer or D&D forum and see if they have any ideas.1 point -

Wolf armouries is a great example, not only did they have a shit eating attitude, I remember a young member on another forum contacting me for advice, long time ago pre vcra, explaining how he'd put a pistol in for repair & when he went to pick it up he was told "you've already collected it", his response was "no I haven't", & Wolf refused to accept they had given it to the wrong person, or alternatively one of the arsehole staff had lifted it ?1 point

Gun picture thread
Pinovic reacted to Skullchewer for a topic
Oh myyy......😍 I haven't been following this, but I'm gonna go back and find details! Anyway... This isn't that exciting when it comes to gun pictures, but I'm a happy boy and had to share. Last year I gave a friend my cheapy Cyma SVD, for servicing and upgrading. Then life got in the way. I got a rotator cuff injury, he lost his driving licence (illness, not booze), and what with one thing and another he's had it ever since. On Sunday I got it back. Full steel rack piston, 110 spring, different piston head, new hop rubber, hop nub, new set of bushings for the gears, combat union hop. Its kicking .3s out around 1.4 to 1.5 joules. I'm on site tomorrow, to continue with our site overhaul, and I'll be giving her a real test for range. Now all I need is an SVD sling.1 point -
I very much agree. Once bitten twice shy. I would rather drive 20 miles in a thunderstorm than buy from a shop that has pissed me off or ripped me off even if they were two minutes away.1 point

Bespoke Airsoft - Loudwater
Galvatron reacted to Dan Robinson for a topic
That's what I was thinking. I see they've positioned themselves carefully RE manufacturing defect, but seeing as the pew doesn't have a mark on it, they will be hard pushed to explain how it can be otherwise - which is also part of the CRA. Up to 6 months they have to prove it wasn't a factory defect. Thankfully over 20 years of running a business and having to deal with wankers in all walks of life, I have had to verse myself in several bits of law... I still keep the court documents where I publicly called a company out for being Snake Oil Salesmen - told them to F Off (literally) in reply to their Cease and Desist letter - then got the case thrown out of court without even getting a hearing. I can write a good passive aggressive missive when I need to. 😎 SWMBO wasn't so impressed at the time though. Genuinely I do hope they get themselves sorted because as I said in the opening post - the place is looking promising in terms of shop, range, tech facilities.1 point -

Second this. I’ve previously had to stick to MICH type helmets and cut the pads in half. I did manage to find some off the market thinner than usual pads that worked with a fast helmet for me before but having recently done exactly as above I can confirm it’s the best fitting and most comfortable option I’ve tried.1 point -

I use to run a site shop and the fastest way I found was just to get the buyer to hold different guns , what suits one player another will hate. I have large hands but I love compacts with full size grips ( Xdmc, hi-capa 4.3 , g19 etc ) If you have a main store close or even a site shop pay them a visit and handle all the main models of pistol( don't rack them.. they can get annoyed lol ) find a model you like in the hand and then look for the best brand of it.1 point

Your system draws a lot of current then. I run 7,4v 1450mAh 30c batteries in my M4s and my average BB consumption per game day is about 2000 (say 5/6 fully depleted Lonex Flash Mags). The battery tester I use says that with the above conditions I get my battery from 99/98% charge down to 30ish, now I don't know that the percentage refers to, but all things considered I think my builds are at okay efficiency.. All this in full auto for the most part. Also keep in mind that semi auto fire draws way more than full auto, the current required to get the motor going is much higher than the current needed to keep the motor going once it's already spinning. It's not hard to imagine that thirsty motor + semi spam will deplete an average sized battery in a short time, but 500 shots is definitely a sign that something needs addressed in your gun. p.s. I'm confident I have butchered every electrical term and principle with this comment, sorry, I build houses and survey the land, not an electrician/electrical engineer1 point
