  1. By the same logic, does that mean that if you s**t yourself, you've got skid "M-Ks"?

  2. What is it with at least 50% of You tubers who insist on calling a MK23 (i.e. 'Mark23') pistol an 'M' 'K' 23?!! It makes me cringe every time! Am I being irrationally intolerant? Probably, but I can't help it - I just want to throw stuff at the screen when they do it, and once you've heard them say it the first time, you can't then unhear it for the next 40 times they mention it in the course of the video.... And don't even get me started on the ' Em Kay 18' rifle!

  5. Ah yes. The days when we all wore surplus DPM, Western Arms made the best pistols (especially when tuned by Matt Dean) and Airsoft Dynamics were still trading.

  7. I think rocketdogbert had the arse, understandably, about the spam situation making the forum unusable, plus the bickering that was going on mainly due to one members narrow views, meant he decided to take a break. I do hope he comes back, he was one of the core members that always had valid points to input thanks to years of experience. If I remember rightly, he'd also taken a break from skirmishes, focusing more on target shooting at his local gun club in Essex ?

  8. Is there anything you don't like about the viper vx gear? If not then why not get a new set? My recommendation for chest rigs is always the SADF M83 chest rig. I'm no way a big guy and mine fits my skinny body with more room for adjustment. Lastly and mostly only because nobody else has posted it, there's always this😁 https://www.evike.com/products/31263/

  9. I'll be honest this is looking very much like the airsoft equivalent of Fyre festival . Just from a numbers point of view . You need 1000 paying players just to get the primary prize money from admissions and that's without taking into account the rest of the event costs which for something of this size would be substantial. The website gives no real detail but just one line bullet points of the week. The website also shows a fire service presence on site for the week which i am highly dubious of having worked with blue light services for various events and organisations. No information on the people running the event or even their identity , no limited company registered that i can find , no indication that the amount of interest is actaully there to make the event viable at this stage. I do not envy the organisers trying to get this started and appreciate the effort it takes to get this kind of event set up . However without anything more solid I just don't see it as viable. I am surprised at some of the "sponsors" of this event as if it does turn out to be a fyre festival type affair there are some big, well trusted names that would need to ask themselves some very serious questions down the line

  10. Well, compared to last year, the Spam is being dealt with much quicker. Previously, we were reliant on the legacy admin/mods to clean up the spam which made the forum unusable at points. Since the appointment of Spam Moderators, the Spam has been dealt with in minutes rather than hours. I think there is more that can be done (hence starting this thread) but we are still in a better place than 12 months ago. I believe 4 spam mods were originally appointed: @Tackle, @RostokMcSpoons, myself and Rocketdogbert (who no longer seems to be a forum member? Anybody know happened there?)

  11. I've barely ever heard anyone in a video pronounce Salomon correctly. The one that really gets me (and this has been going on for at least 10 years) is the blatant global lie that is the use of the word polymer to somehow mean something different to plastic. 'Oh this is polymer, not just plastic'... get fucked.

  14. I had some lovely WA's😪 It's the only rifle I would consider using apart from maybe a ghk G5 with the current G5 mags. They just work. Feed em black gas in extreme cold and your good to go. Same with most the newer tm gbbp's. Mainly went with the mws for it's reputation and old school aesthetic. Got 20rnd mags for it too now.

  19. Super impressed by Orga and Japanese post. Ordered something like... a week ago, it was sent on the 6th and Parcelforce already attempted to deliver it yesterday (10th). And by attempt to deliver, I mean they shoved a card through my door without knocking. Getting them to redeliver it to my local post office so I'll have my VSR widebore barrel ready for this Sunday's skirmish!

Hello all, I've started my own "side hustle" laser cutting and engraving stuff. I managed to get a good deal on an infa red laser module for my set up. So now I'm able to engrave on metal and plastic (mainly black) Has anyone, preferably in the Derby area, got any metal boneyard upper or lower receivers they want rid of? Ideally free but obviously happy to pay if there's nothing going begging. Didn't want to really practice on my MTW 😅 Once I've got the hang of it, I'll be offering my services out to anyone interested xx

    TM MP5 NGRS Owners

Group shot of the Marui MP5 NGRS collection. Gots the A4, A5, SD6 and put together an SD5 (made from a next Gen A4 and SD6). Other Mp5 is kitted out with Magpul stuff. Finally done buying these things. 😂 edit: vfc flashlight handguard had a slight front/back play which is annoying as the hole for the pin is oblong-ish. I removed the two strips of plastic to allow for battery space for mounting it on the A5. I cut a small piece from those plastic pieces and glued it at the back of the rear tab (which hook into the upper receiver). No more front-rear play anymore. No creaking. I now use the stock push pin instead of the locking pin that came with my Magpul SL handguard for the mp5.

  24. The trouble with plate carriers is that they don't conform to a womans shape or some men for that matter. Kids sizes might work for you, but the buckle up system has a load of adjustment, more than most I've seen. That looks really cool. I might have a look at that for me !

  26. Yes & no, fets, sound generators, tracers, smoke generators, various options for recoil, hpa, wanker guns, the list is seemingly endless. Or, you could run a bog standard aeg with technology more than 25 years old, & still dominate the battlefield. Works for me 😁 (sometimes lol😏)

  27. 😢 I really don't want to do this... Firstly guys, I still haven't had a response from admin, so I still feel limited in my response. @1st commando while your mathematics are spot on... you actually added up the wrong ticket 🤦‍♂️. To enter the competition and be in with a chance of winning the £100k you need to be a Participant. This is a £385 ticket and there will be 8 members per team. I am sure you can work out that we can more than cover the prize fund with 40 teams (320 paying players). It really depends how greedy we are as event organisers, which isn't very. The £100 ticket you refer to in your equation is an access ticket. For those who want a longer weekend of all the things they enjoy and love about airsoft. Irrespective of wether they view this as a sport, hobby or just a reason to be out making friends. Company registration details are at the bottom of every page of our website. We are sorry you didn't see them, but this is a legal trading requirement. Project Zodiac has been set up in 2023 to promote, build and protect the armed combative sports industry. Running events is our way of giving back to the players and the community as a whole. Our sponsors are supporting us because they share the same vision as we do, and wish to build a focal point in the airsoft calendar that represents all. Ask them. @CannonfodderAs you know, this is our first airsoft event. But the team here manage events all year around and know how to provide for a large group of people. Sponsors and supporters of the event are shaping the "airsoft" theme and together we can assure you fresh approach to an airsoft event that gives back and reflects the requirements of the community. I take whole responsibility for any misinterpretation of the pricing, price fund distribution or any other conflict. But I urge you to simply read through and look again. We are having edits being made to reflect your feedback and make things clearer. Guys, airsoft is always under threat, especially right now with social media purges. We must stick together as a community and encourage each other. Even if not ourselves, then other event organisers who are trying to support the hobby that you all partake. I will as promised let you know when our next web update is live but in the mean time, if you do have any questions please do post them here because I am sure your not the only one asking it. If you'd prefer you can call in on 07780 634 559 and someone will happily take your call and answer your questions. I truly wish you all well. As a #airsoft-forums.uk exclusive: We are holding an onsite media day within the next 10 days. You can expect a lot more from us after that 👍

    Ucap bunker

It took a while to get me back to the bunker. It was a collection of little things that put me off, lots of shouting, pushing the game too hard, marshals stripping people of any kind of stealth tactics by walking up behind them and shouting "move, move, come on lets push forward", which is all well and good until you're wielding a single pistol and there are 8 opposition players around the corner with rifles and lovely little camping areas, waiting to pepper the life out of you. It started to seem as though there was an element of clique-ness and there were becoming rumours that certain people were managing to skip chrono, resulting in hot RIFs on the field, which isn't particularly fun in such a close quarters environment. I might add that I'd never experienced a hit from anything that felt like a hot gun, and the chrono issue may have been only rumours, but with everything building a gloomy picture of the place I decided to take time away from it. I had an experience where I had a few duff flash-bangs from their onsite shop, not a big issue. I had a quick chat with one of the staff, to let them know more than anything, he decided it was much more appropriate to call me out in front of everyone, telling me I had no idea how to strike a fuse and that there was nothing wrong with them, despite the fact that they were all damp from storage. It irritated me, because I'd always recommended them as a site to visit, we'd played regularly on an almost weekly basis at one point. The flash-bang incident was the icing on the cake. Going in last night the atmosphere was much different, it was calm, the marshals were respectable, visible and in the right places at the right time, the briefing was prompt and to-the-point and the game play was well managed. I felt like the night was for the players, like it once used to be, really enjoyed myself. Even if you only go once, it's worth a game for sure. As for Valiant, that one is on my list of "places to visit". I did the Vendetta site in Gloucester and absolutely loved it, a number of our team have done Valiant already and they loved that too!

My go to recommendation to most people is a bulle mle platform, very light, very cheap (but not crap quality) very adjustable (my sons gf uses the m4 version with no issues & she's a proper hobbit🤣), but limited on colour options, od or tan I think ?

  42. I know I bring this one out whenever one of these threads appears but… Based on a real gun, if you stormed Omaha beach without dying, in 10 minutes and with 20 kills back in 1944 you’d be able to equipment this chrome and carbon monstrosity when you next saw your quartermaster. Built to try and tempt the wife into playing, she had said she wanted something that looked like it was from Borderlands. She ended up refusing to play and this got sold on…. King Arms Chrome receiver set and hydro dipped furniture. The icing on the upsetty-spaghetti for a real purist is that I cut the ears off the rear sight and drilled it to be a mounting fixture for the mini red dot
