Before anyone gets triggered, I don't care at all if people do or don't wish to do this, matters zero when being shot with BBs vs bullets from a firearm, this is info purely for those who may be interested. For some, if you've never shortened the straps on your rig this may well improve comfort for you in general, but especially when doing any leaning, sitting, squatting etc; as obviously your chest is comparatively a static/solid block of rib cage, whereas your stomach area does the bending and most people's rigs hang low. The basic guide that's banded about for users of common real armour plates in popular modern PCs (JPC, Slickster etc) is that the very top of the plate should be right at the point your collar bones meet at the base of your neck. Most players buy a replica armour/plate carrier of some type and never adjust the shoulder straps, so 90% of the time they'll be lower than they 'should' (emphasis on parenthesis) be if it was real. Again, I know it isn't. Dirty selfie from yesterday's game where, if anything, my carrier is maybe a small smidge high on account of having featherlight fake 'plates' in it and it riding up a bit while in play. But from what I've seen pretty much all combat shirts have similar 1/4 zip length and as you can see about half of mine is covered up. It's actually running down to around the mid point of the English flag. End of the day, if you've never tried it it's totally free to just adjust the straps on the kit you've already got and takes about 1 minute, maybe worth a go. I think this quick and free change can potentially improve the look of a kit by a decent bit without buying anything at all. If that's not of interest though, have a nice evening ✌️1 point

No noob photos of me as i started in 2004 when camera phones were shit and social media didn't exist. The earliest picture i can find of me is this from 2011 Standard issue (at the time) British assault boots, C95 DPM trousers, Viper kneepads, ACM plate carrier, Black UBACS (don't remember the make but it wasn't a Chinese knock off) Maruzen NBB P99, KSC (I think) Glock 18 in a mag pouch, ACM gloves, ESS V12 goggles The latest pic i can find is this, taken last January. After going through several different camo patterns I've found myself almost back where I started German para boots, The same pair of trousers as the earlier picture, Same plate carrier (swapped out for a SADF M83 chest rig in summer) All Terrain Tigerstripe combat shirt, Eye protection liberated from work. The guns are an E&L AKS74U and Golden Eagle R8701 point -

Earliest pic I have. I think this is a few years in, 2 or 3 I think, being sneaky sniper at a weekend event in Spain in 2008 before Spain even had sites; used to just be a bunch of guys turning up at an abandoned urbanisation to play airsoft. This was probably one of the first ever weekend airsoft events on the Costa Del Sol! As "the Brit" I had to be rocking the DPM to represent . Loadout overall was: Warrior L96, totally unupgraded and flinging .25 heavyweight BBs! (pretty sure they became Well, and .25s really were heavyweight back then!) Bell 1911 (it's a lovely pistol and I still have it. Doesn't shoot well, but looks and feels amazing!) DIY safety glasses worn over my prescription glasses (I have no idea if they were rated high enough, but I still have two eyes!) Warrior Assault Systems chest rig. Much older model that isn't made any more, but spoiler alert: it still works great and I still use it! Dingo drop leg holster in OD Blackhawk knee pads Army surplus boots Bunch of scrim net around the rifle And most up to date photo I really have that shows my loadout is from AI500 last year (the one where we got hit by a storm and they had to call it early on the Saturday!). Loadout here (with disposable income!) is: TM m21 SWS HPA setup (Wolverine Hydra Gen2) with all the upgrades TM mk23 upgraded with all the upgrades Heroshark mesh goggles with prescription inserts Stich Profi "Chimera" hood Sprinter Custom Ghillie multi-season haloscreen rifle wrap Bulle(?) MARPAT shirt and trousers Not sure on the brand of boots Warrior Assault Systems pathfinder chest rig and gunfighter belt kit Honestly, not much has changed in terms of how I play outside of me just being a lot better at it now. I still play sneaky sniper, though with a disposable income I've been able to get myself far better gear. Main difference is that I'm nowhere near as fit as I was back then and at the moment I'm carrying too many extra pounds. Gym, couch to 5k, cycling instead of getting the bus around town and BJJ and MMA classes are all helping me get back to the level of fitness I had in picture #1 when I was in multiple sports teams at school (rugby and swimming up until I moved to Spain, then just swimming in Spain) rather than me being a fatass in pic #21 point -

Where a real PC should sit on your torso
TheFull9 reacted to Unreal Warfare for a topic
If you’re the kinda player that isn’t afraid to drop prone then mags on your belly isn’t really the one. It’s uncomfortable and also more difficult to access your kit. Even more so if you’re rocking a bit of a dad bod. Best off wearing them as they should be worn. If you’re a larger player, don’t worry about what others think. We’re all just crazy larping cosplayers who like to shoot each other at the end of the day anyway.1 point -

Just got to do the mods again ( weld filing and location dot) will post a comparison shot with a real one my mate has later today. you are right @Nick Gthey are just nicer; the lock mech is pretty identical to the legacy, AND they fit the Angry Gun 216a flash hider which is a bonus cus the AG one is nicer….1 point

I run a CPC with xl plate bags (because more £££ equals better, right) with foam plate just to help keep the shape. If I wore it lower than “real” because of my proportions, it would be rather uncomfortable and block my belt. the only downside is the internal mag pouches are uncomfortable and some pouches are hard to access when I’m a bit stiff, so the layout is not exactly how I would like it, but as it’s toys guns, I can take an extra 5 seconds to get a smoke grenade out1 point

Milbro G10... We'd seen airsoft and been told that you used BB guns. We actually spent quite a few weeks shooting each other with air pistols until someone pointed out our error. TBF they are that underpowered that they didn't hurt too much. You did always call your hits mind. Funnily enough I don't field it these days.1 point -

Airsoft thoughts?
Jaylordofwaargh reacted to THE CHIEF for a topic
Some days I am an unstoppable killing machine where even a cursory glance at a bush results in 10 crys of HIT!!! Other days I get an absolute beat down never seeing where it came from. Both of them are just as fun to me. I like a good fight. The one thing about airsoft is its not pay to win. Some of the most fun I have had is with a cheap trishot shotgun. Feel free to wander around the safe zone and look at other people's kit. Most players are more than happy to let you give it a try Last time I was at dragons lair I was passing around the M60 to rental players so they could have a blast.1 point -

Well I wanted to see if the LCT AK19 grip would fit on an Acrturus AK12. The good news is that it does but the bad news is that it's a pig of a job quite frankly. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else to try.1 point -

Blue two-tone WE P226 from JustBBGuns in December 2015! I then just plinked in my garden until the second half of 2016, when I thought it'd be fun to be able to use it against other people (in an insured and consenting game format of course). Booked my first skirmish at my local site and loved the concept but hated the rental guns, so sorted UKARA ASAP and bought a G&G Predator. Oh and have long since sold both, spending waayyyy too much money to achieve very little difference in performance.1 point -

Looks like a nice gun you got there, and you're definitely on a good track with the loadout. Deffo move the dump pouch though. I'd always have a sling on a gun though, just to give your arms a rest whenever possible (they tire quickly, and once one bit of you starts complaining, you feel more knackered generally. Or maybe that's just me and my age!) Even with a lightweight gun, a sling lets you free up both hands quickly which is useful. And if you get one of those "slingster" types there's an element of "Tacti-cool" as well1 point -

This. 100%. I'd echo the comments above though, move the dump pouch to either the rear or side (your 8 o'clock or 4 o'clock depending on if you're right or left handed) and on your belt instead of hanging off your plate carrier. Consider a chest rig instead of a plate carrier. Get a better helmet. Maybe look at trousers in a better cut that allows more freedom of movement (like a G3 style for example).1 point -

The sight of a poor creaking plate carrier being pressed into use as a girdle may be even worse. At some point a chap needs to do the decent thing and just put on a gillie suit for the sake of the rest of us. Ive gradually come to the opinion that while many people *want* a plate carrier, what they *need* is a chest rig.1 point -
