Liking the shottie holster! Finally with Christmas play time managed to finish what I’m calling an AK105-VSU. Tried and hopefully succeeded in painting it in such a way it works with both the GZ and RG load outs 🤞

So I found a crack in the upper receiver of my G&G Predator. New upper fitted and now rocking a sort of two tone black upper and rail, with worn camo lower and stock. Quite like it

Just got my toystar daewoo k2c1 kit and put it together. Having owned the older classic version they have really upped their production quality. I was told this one is glass fibre polymer rather than straight plastic like the older one. Flash hider is getting painted tomorrow.

Had this a few years now. No idea of the economy as it's a work vehicle, so just filled up and forgotten. Pretty good for airsoft as the glass is bulletproof and it's 4x4. Base vehicle is a Merc. I've been overseas in at a fair bit, but usually I just use it for popping down to the shops for a few bottles of red and some wafers. It's really comfy tbh.

Specnas are getting notorious for being fussy about mags, and my SA-E02 is no different. With the stock hop unit (a decent rotary) It feeds fine off of its own mid caps, and is OK with hi-caps, but didn't want anything to do with other mid caps. Reddit sez "lol just change the magazine catch lol", but nobody seems able to explain why, or for what, or how this helps. So I decided to science it out by measuring mags, and testing the feed tube interface. Specna mid cap vs M16VN short mag, total length front to rear, and from the front of the mag to inside the feed. The overall length can be measured precisely, but it's harder to get an exact measurement on the front of mag to inside the magwell tube, so I've been a bit approximate there. It might not be a full 1mm difference, but when the fronts are aligned, it's apparent that the Specna feed is further back. With the rears of the mags aligned, they're a closer match. The Specna mags also have a conical section at the top of the feed. With the hop unit removed from the gun and tested with both mags (to isolate just that issue), this provides a noticeable smoother insert: it's a smart bit of design. I'd seen speculation that the Specna hop tube was "pencil dicking" mags and not big enough to key in solidly without free play. I didn't find this. If anything, the hop tube was slightly sticky when going into the VN mags, and there was no free movement at all once it was in. The last significant point was the the BB stopper on the VN mags has a flat section that protrudes slightly into the tube, whereas the Specna doesn't. This lip provides a significant obstacle to the hop feed tube, and it needs a harder push-and-wiggle to move the stopper back and get the feed tube right in. Either because of this, or a stronger stopper spring, or something else in the magazine geometry, it also needs more effort to keep the hop unit pressed all the way into the VN magazines. Some slight exaggeration for effect: So: what did I do? 1. Carefully filed and sanded a slight conical shape on the bottom edge of the feed tube to assist keying it into the mag. There's a fair amount of material there to play with. Just give it some help to find the magazine, and to let it get and stay all the way in. 2. Do some more aggressive filing on the back of the feed tube, to produce a flat ramp where it meets the BB stopper. This looks aggressive, but bear in mind that most of the height of the tube is left intact, so there's still no free play. The BBs are going up the middle, and as long as there's any material at the rear, the BB stopper will be pushed far enough back. With this done, the feed tube isn't fighting as hard against staying all the way in the magazine. 3. Magazine fettling. Since I want to keep the Specna mags usable, rather than modifying the magwell I've added half a mm of tape at the front of the VN mags to give them the same size as the Specna mags, and to move the feed backwards to more closely match the Specna. I've put some silicone grease on top to help it slide in without tearing, and might replace it with velcro depending how it stands up. If I wanted to only use these mags, and not have the Specna mags fit any more, I'd put a velcro strip inside the front of the magwell instead. Result: a smoother insertion and perfect feeding of the VN mags. In fact, I got reliable feeding from one even before adding the tape at the front, so it seems like just a small mod to the end of the feed tube does help. The mags need a good hard push to get the magwell catch locked in place, which is perhaps where the Reddit wisdom is coming from, but once in place they're solid. That's not the problem, at least on my example, with my magazines. Best of luck.

Red is conventionally positive. If you get it wrong then the motor will try to run backwards which wont be good (well, it wont kill anything it'll just get stuck on the arl, obviously dont hold the power on it) Whilst you can solder directly to the motor its generally handy to use connectors so you can remove it to change as needed and not have to worry about it dangling off the gearbox while your working for it. With deans there's a +ve mark on them (cant remember which of the 2 it is come to think of it) and its good to stick to that so that if you get a battery with pre-soldered deans then it'll run right.

Back in the day I had three of these, 225bhp was a lot of power back then. I have fond memories of my black 3.2 litre (250bhp) one with a volcano red interior... the amount of PIMP jokes I got from my work mates was non-stop.... oh and the obligatory hairdresser jokes too... lol . The Quattro system on these was an absolute beast too. The car literally stuck to the road as if it was on rails..... The shape of the MK1 TT was iconic and a design statement at the time... sadly when the MK2's came out the curves were lost for the angular and straight edges which in my opinion was a let down in design... For those who don't know, Silverstone used to have a bunch of MK1 1.8T sport TT's which you could use as part of their track day events. They were such good fun to drive around the track thats for sure!

That. Airsoft magical beliefs aside, maximum range is entirely dependent on muzzle energy + sufficient hop for the BB. That's not the same as effective accurate range, but that's less of an issue for you. You just need to be banging on the site energy limit, with your BBs fully hopped. I like a little lift at the end of my trajectory so that I can be sure that I'm erring on slightly over than slightly under. Also consider the possibility that you're being outranged by DMRs, or hot guns. Shouldn't happen, does happen, one local site caught a marshal hot in game.

You could always cut the slot into one with a dremel

but what actual range are you getting? 30m, 40m, 50m or are you just airsoft estimating? you need to actually find how far the thing shoot to be able to start any meaningful upgrades and it maybe the case it's shooting as far as it can and the money you need to dump in it to get any real increase is not worth it.

Question, have you actually tried it ?, does it work & shoot straight, ideally with a 300+ fps, if the answer is yes to those 3 questions then leave it be, get out & use it until it really does need looking at, by which time you'll have more info on who & where to take it to. While I can't comment on wolf armouries tech abilities, their poor customer service & general shit eating attitude is legendary, on that basis alone I'd avoid them.

So you said, but you didn't say whether you'd cleaned the barrel, silicone greased the air-seal components and/or adjusted what appears to be an adjustable hop unit. This isn't Facebook.

For those who cannot find a lightweight BCG, I recently picked up the HAO industries ecoline BCG. Initially it was only 40 grams lighter than the stock bolt, but then I swapped the BCG weight with the marui and I have a complete BCG that weighs 125 grams...Works like a champ. On the note of upgrades, really just a 150% nozzle spring and Dave's nub is all you need. I am using a lightweight bolt for colder weather/DMR shot tracking purposes. Choose inner barrel to match velocity requirements and go...I easily have over 10K rounds through mine and I have had it for 8 months or so, I shoot it nearly every day. Love it to pieces!

The have a nice rotary hop unit as standard, so you may get a tiny bit more with a better hop rubber and nub. Do you know what it chronos at?

A big hello to everyone on here ,I have been involved with guns of all types for almost 70 years and given it up due to age. I shoot copies (i don't class them as replicas) of airguns in my indoor range now both BB and pellet, recently i saw on the web an AK 47 and a Thompson 1928, they only had airsoft versions, semi and full auto so i am now smitten. These i shoot outdoors with an MP 40 Co2 BB full and semi auto. The electric ones are like rocket science to me and i am sure i will be needing some advice in the future. Now what to get next? You could always use the Rebuild Progress and Achievements function, this would start a re-count of all members stats and badges based on the settings you have defined in the ACP for a community this large that would likely take the system 14 days to complete but its a passive background operation so it wont harm or take down the community board. This might bring justice for the long standing members since it will re-count their entire posting history.

I've taken much the same journey as you, I'm just further down the road 😋 My initial ideas on returning to Airsoft was to get a g&g cm16 but I ended up going for the double eagle m906c. And then I had a hankering for another gun, ended up wanting a bullpup, and bought an f2000 😁

Ah, the FAMAS, perfect for storming an Alaskan island hiding terrorists and a bipedal mech. Only thing I'd caution is that the FAMAS doesn't take M4 mags. If M4-magged bullpups are what you're after, L85, F2000, UAR and Tavor among others all use STANAG. UAR is budget and gets looked down on a lot but I'm a big fan. Light, plenty rail space, very egonomic, looks sci fi, shoots rather well, internally an AK. Or as I summed up on another thread earlier, a Lada in a Pelican Dropship's clothing 😄

Yup, an o-ring nozzle and replacing the stock [clarification] piston o-ring resulted in a rock solid air seal on my CM.516. A bit of silicone grease and I was seeing a had-to-check-it-twice 1.3J out of an M100 spring and a ZCI 229mm barrel. Air seal is king, I had to drop to an M90 and even then it's nudging 1.14J.

If the range is a bit meh and there's a deviation in fps, sounds like a leak. I'd send it back to them and get them to check and fix. Seals will probably sort it.

Ha ha, I just stumbled on this video and logged in to add it to the thread when @ak2m4 had already done it 😂 I've just fired a Perun AB++ to my R85. It's a great bit of kit, and has stopped the stalling completely.

Could help to get in there and clean it up as well as re-shim. O-ring nozzle is good as long as it fits properly (length and not too tight) You could also try polishing the inner barrel. (Presume you already cleaned the barrel...)

I honestly can't recommend Specna Arms at the moment. I got lucky with my Edge SA-E02 but the quality control isn't great, the gearboxes are suspect, and they have magazine compatibility issues. If you do go for one, I'd suggest stretching to one of the Edge 2.0 models as they come with a Gate Aster mosfet with a fair amount of options. The Double Eagle M9XX models are getting a lot of love right now and also come with burst mode options. Stocking is the problem right now, you're lucky to find anything. The M916G is in stock at the time of writing though https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/double-eagle-m916g-utr556?pv=17877 and offers something a little visually different from the typical loads-o-rails.

I’ve being using 0.25 but unfortunately at my site I’m pretty much the only support gunner so the extra range would help suppress the next set of targets that would normally be out my range I clean the barrel after every game and have tested that .25s work best the range is decent but I find I get out ranged a few times a day so my suppressive fire is unaffective

I only had one pop (before I deleted them) and that was a 20A mini, after a V3 lockup where I did what everyone will do the first time it happens: held the trigger and hoped. I'd reckon 20A is sufficient to protect against user error in a reasonable AEG, and once you've learned to not just keep fingerblasting long after it's clear that you're not going to get a happy ending, it's only there to protect against a full short. My plan for that is to hurl it away then strip the corpse for parts.

What weight of BB are you using? The standard rif will hop .25 and .28 OK. What makes you think that you need more range?

Well if you really need cash, either a) sell your most expensive one, or b) ger rid of the one(s) that get the least use. If the LMGs just an M4, maybe get rid of that.

The Double Eagle guns with the mosfet (long barrelled ones) not a problem though been eyeing up one of the OONI ovens for ages .👍
