One of the things I found during my first few games is that I was finishing the day with a headache, although I was packing litres of water away during the day and having lunch. Unfortunately water doesn't replace the electrolytes you use during the game and lose through sweating. I take a 4 pack of lucozade sport now, as they were my go to drink when I used to play football, finish the day headache free now!

  3. G&P RIS Rail and G&P scope mount fit fine. A saddle bag 7.4v Lipo can be fitted in the front RIS however I might need to shorten the wires slightly for it to look a bit better. *edit - A suystema TW5 full stock will fit with a bit of dremeling or sanding.

The new TM NGRS mp5. Had my first game last Sunday with it and as with all TM guns it obviously shoots amazing out the box but with the new MOSFET system, just a huge improvement on trigger response and no lock ups on semi which essentially saves the need for a titan. Trigger pull is short which is nice with good spring tension and the fire selector has a firm click and no play between each setting which is unlike any other AEG mp5 unless your lucky enough to have a TW5. Converted to a SD straight out the box as that's my preferred mp5 variant. I jubilee clip a lower kac rail with a stubby tango grip and looking at sourcing a eotech for the devgru look. As my user name suggests I love mp5s grew up seeing them in films and TV shows, I normally run a MWS as performance wise it's hard to beat but the build quality and performance of the mp5 is outstanding so I bumped the FPS up out the box so its now up there with the MWS and I personally feel like the MWS will start gathering dust now ha.

    TM MP5 NGRS Owners

Yes did build up a SD6. Finished it last night came out lovely. Wasn't too hard to build if you can get original ICS parts and have access to a lathe to build an adapter. Longer barrel and new spring bumped my FPS up too 340 so looking forward to using it tomorrow for its first outing. Also fitted my magpul guard and gemtech QD suppressor from my other ngrs mp5 I built myself to see what fitted and they went straight on. I have a real steel sliding stock that I wanna try out but I think only the rails of the stock will fit with some milling so I might stick with the original as it's way more solid than any sliding stock on Rif.

  8. Hi all I recently played a game at a different site from my normal one. all my guns were firing way under the FPS. but now I’ve been told that they were all too hot due to the joules. At that site the max J for a rif that has full auto is 1.14J ( uk law is 1.3) The site told me this is due to their insurance. but in the five years I’ve been playing Airsoft I never have been to a site that request you to measure in Joules. The law came out in 2017 and has taken them till 2021 to enforce it on this site. so my question is how does everyone feel about this and is everyone finding this problem across the UK? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/610380/2017_04_19_-_PCA2017_firearms_provisions_-_HO_Circular_-_final.pdf

Sure you can mention me, buddy. I'm 6ft 2, average build floating towards the dad bod, and I don't know if it's cuz I've hit mid 30s but I've noticed I've started to sweat more than a glassblowers arse while doing exercise! I've kept off the sugar loaded fizzy drinks, hence why the coke zero I took the following month did naff all! Would recommend the raspberry lucozade sport over the orange tho ??

  12. The 300 bar dive tank is the correct tank to fill your "gun tank" with. I've currently got a 3litre one but will be upgrading to a 7litre tomorrow as too many of my mates run HPA now and I run 3, but could use upto 5 of mine with HPA now.

  13. Interestingly on the same subject I wanted to buy one of the new E&L ‘Essentials’ AKM’s, only place in the UK with stock was Daves Custom Airsoft When I got the Gun and opened the box it’s been tested and fired at Gunfire.pl so Daves must have imported themselves?

Not mine but posted with permission from its owner, it’s that particular lever action KC02 that makes mine look totally vanilla

It would make sense to replace the older NGRS ARs with the new MOSFET and I totally get what you mean too haha. I already built my own NGRS mp5 before TM announced their own version which I've kept in the original A5 configuration with a magpul guard, Was actually easier to convert the TM version to a SD nothing is made of steel so easy to work with. Parts wise you need. SD front sight Guard and sleeve Suppressor I used ICS parts but they are discontinued so it was hard sourcing everything. Your'll need some 35mm steel bar and a lathe for the adapter I made. Also be confident with a Dremel and tap and dye set.

  17. that was my point, fps on 0.2j is a joule measurement, just in confusing units that make it seem like it isn't. the reason it's taken so long is because there's not much agreement in chrono standards, for example hop on or off, player weight or site weight, quote limits in fps or j, and sites generally can't be bothered putting too much effort into it, much easier to just remember a number. i've lost count of the number of times i've had to explain that no, my gun is not shooting low, it's heavy ammo, especially when they've set the weight on the chrono and are reading the fps figure (which is always a raw figure of the velocity measurement) rather than the calculated joule figure.

  18. you know fps is a measurement of velocity not energy right? when we use the term fps in airsoft what's actually meant is fps on a 0.2g bb and that latter part is what makes it a convoluted way of stating energy, who's SI unit is joules...... the reason velocity is the thing people use is because that's what chronographs measure/display, and the reason it's feet per second rather than metres per second is the same (read: dumb) reasons we buy petrol in litres, milk in pints, sugar in kilos and steak in oz because the uk is stuck in measurement system purgatory.

  19. Reality is a harsh mistress. The only "problem" here is that there are still sites out there who are chronoing like it's 1999. Can you please tell us which sites didn't spot that your toys were shooting hot, so that I can make a note to avoid them?

  20. The VAT registration threshold for EU business is £85,000. Below that and they don't have to register, once they do though, they'll have to do accounts for HMRC (as well as their own government) along with all the additional cost that entails. For someone like TG I can't see that the volume of sales is worth it. Gunfire will still ship to the UK because they know there's customers there but still insist on a minimum order of £135 because that's where the responsibility shifts from them to the customer. TG stopped shipping over to the UK because of UPS and the hassle that their utter clusterfuck of a service has caused them. GF just started using a different courier instead (GLS).

  21. I dub thee: The WWSD - 'What Would Speedbird Do' Blaster. If you know, you know. The aim was a super light weight gun for all-round use. It's an unused ICS Sportline I have knocking about (hence shit camo job). It was a light weight plastic gun anyway, but had a wobbly/bendy front end that I was never happy with. So - 50mm Carbon tube hand guard. 3D printed barrel nut, hand guard end cap and barrel stub. ICS Stubby stock. No Outer barrel - the inner barrel is supported by the hand guard end cap. I replaced the RIS receiver rail with a 3D Printed blanking plate. I also added a flared magwell, 3D printed from a thingiverse file that I modded to better fit. No sights (never use 'em anyway - hi-cap 'spray and pray' for the win). It's my 40th Birthday in a couple weeks. Missus is buying me a nice Sparmax airbrush/compressor set, so the receiver will get some kind of 'interesting' paint job. I know, haters gonna hate. But I like it, and that's all that matters to me...?
