    Tm Devgru Hk416d Bundle

Nice bundle. However do this Sell the Vortex optics separately as you will shift them easier. Have a look through the classifieds and search for Vortex that will give you an idea of their value. The optics alone are easy £230. I’d say £100 for the mag and £130 for the sparc. The main gun itself easy £400 (£400 to £420) as it’s the Devgru model (it’s the better one out of the 416 range as you have a good rail and the suppressor). Current RRP is circa £550. Anything less then that you are being low balled. All the other bits I can’t really say. Batteries you simply can’t send in the post unless they are in the gun and not loose. But again I’m not sure.

  4. I've played Ghost Recon Breakpoint to death and really enjoy the customization of the character .... and so naturally my game gear now mirrors my airsoft stuff. I did the same with Wildlands too!

  6. AEP gearbox? Gearboxes are bloody heavy so you'd prolly need a plastic one tbh. The best option is probably getting someone to design in CAD and 3D printing a custom frame and feeding system to the plane (hint hint, maybe pay me? :)))))))) Then again, that kind of thing might get you potentially arrested AHAHA

  9. What a day! Fantastic site, really great owners running it as well. We made some suggestions to some changes to the map and they promptly closed the site (today) so that they are in place for the next people to use it (likely you). Games flowed really well, good mixture. Lends itself really well to all kinds of players, slow and sneaky as well as run round like a lunatic. Zombies is especially good in there. Only criticism is that impact grenades don't go off due to the floor but that's really not the end of the world of problems. Pistol is king in there, whitehouse and bank are fantastic for clearing through.

    Mosfet for an AEP

Nice one The Perun ETU++ is the way to go then. You can use basically any microswitch for the trigger and selector. I generally epoxy a smaller switch under the cutoff lever that protrudes from the gearbox. Attach the wires to the switch first then cover it with heatshrink before applying the epoxy. The heatshrink helps prevent any rogue glue from working its way into the switch assembly so don't skip that step! Here's how I set up the switches in a Mac10 body. I know I have more pics somewhere, I'll see if I can find them...

  13. Well this is not the development I was hoping for. I was (evidently naively) hoping that we may see some resumption of stable delivery service from those involved with shipping from Taiwan Gun (is Gunfire in the same boat?) by now but evidently this isn't the case. Unfortunately I can see this getting worse once the "transition" measures that are still in place are no longer in effect. Hopefully you guys can get your orders sorted, it's beyond a joke that UPS' level of professionalism is akin to a newspaper delivery boy who decides to dump their papers due to it being wet and chilly.

  15. USAirsoft is not the most unbiased guy, but Im not saying he isnt wrong as I have no experience there. I second (or third, or fourth whatever) the TM NGRSs. In my opinion nothing is better out of the box. Add in the fact that Titan is starting to support them, their ability to use AEG mags at the expense of bolt catch (they come with an adapter), not having to deal with gas, etc makes them a clear winner to me. Im not sure, however, of your options to make an AK102 or whatever modern AK you want with them - my Type 3 AK seems pretty proprietary when it comes to the handguard though I do believe LCT AK upper handguards may work. We managed to get one on it but it wont make battery changes very easy. The Type 3 in particular also lacks the standard side sight mount. However it fits real steel rear sight mounts just fine, so I got one to replace my rear sight with a small rail and now Im happy with it (wanted to keep the classic look, but add a small red dot only).

  16. I probably said the burst was the most important rating For most of the use a battery sees in Airsoft, it'll not be getting too stressed for so long that it can't recover so the burst rating is the most useful - if it is accurate of course. I've found that the ratings on Nuprol batteries aren't particularly useful, usually overestimated by a decent margin whereas the Turnigy ones are generally pretty good. The current in the wire creates the magnetic field, not the voltage. The current moves due to the voltage so you could say it's indirectly responsible but it is the current that actually creates the magnetic field around the wire. This is also why the magnetic field weakens as the motor gets faster, which has a range of useful side-effects for Airsoft. When the coils pass by the static magnets, they act like a generator producing Back-EMF (reverse voltage). The power used by the motor is the supply voltage minus the reverse voltage times the current. So when the motor speeds up, the reverse voltage closes in on the supply voltage and lowers the current use. There will always be a load applied in an Airsoft gearbox so it'll tend towards a certain figure but on full-auto, it can reach a fairly steady state. In terms of voltage drops during load, it's complex and varies greatly between different chemistries and various other factors. I can't say I've memorised all characteristics of all batteries in all situations 🤣but I do have a rough understanding of some of the effects. The power capability of a battery pack is dependent on its voltage and impedence - which is kinda like resistance except that it changes based on 'stuff' (you can quote me on that) due to chemistry and other things. The impedence of a pack tends to rise as current flows, if the pack is rated for a low discharge (C - which is not coulombs but a battery specific symbol) and a higher load is applied then the impedence will rise even faster, causing a voltage drop. Interesting, the flow of current will heat up the pack which can actually improve the capacity. On a cold day, using your gun in longer bursts (eg 3x10 second bursts) can make the battery last longer than a similar number of shots fired more intermittently (eg 10x3 second bursts). To answer the OP's question, think of it like this: The voltage sets the maximum speed the gun can achieve The C rating (or more accurately, the total pack discharge) is how close to that speed you actually get. If your gun needs a burst of 40A on startup and 30A for continuous full-auto then having a battery that can only supply 20A will limit your performance all round. In the same setup, having a battery that can provide 30A will give you better (but still sub-optimal) performance on semi and will allow full-auto to perform at full speed. Having a battery that can provide more than 40A will allow everything to operate as fast as it 'wants' to but without stressing the battery. The higher the number, the less stress the battery will get and the longer it will last, in terms of charge/discharge cycles. I know I've rambled on a bit so feel free to ask any questions and if I've gotten anything wrong, please do let me know. There's only one thing more fun than geeking out and that's finding someone else with more knowledge 😃

  18. No offence taken. I got my Firehawk second hand and love the way it looks and sounds. I will slowly upgrade it as and when I can afford etc... but I love how it plays right now. A musicians saying is... Its not the equipment but how you use it. Same with this... I had a great time on my first game back because I played differently. The gun just enhanced my enjoyment and knowing I did it myself made it even sweeter.

    THE TM MWS thread

I'm honoured to have my MRE build featured on ATRG's blog. https://atrg.blog/2021/05/18/build-showcase-kilo-3-romeos-mws-mre/ Hopefully more exposure of how amazing the MWS is will add more to the GBBR Master Race! 😂

  24. Sorry bud...just looked @ impulse101 (Apparantly they're the go to guys for spares.) but they're out of stock as well... Posted the link, maybe worth checking every now and again and ordering some spares once they get some instock. (I'd imagine they would get spares before most other retailers, seeing as they're in Japan too.) http://impulse101.jp/en/m4-mws-parts/tokyo-marui-spare-parts-m4-mws-mgg2-65-magazine-lip-bb-lip-3303

  25. Got my MACV SOG (ish) loadout sorted. (I know webbing isn't right but close enough for me 😉) And a choice of weapons 😄 Yes, the XM177 look is spoiled by the A2 upper but I'd rather have the lovely recoil of the Lonex BAW than the correct details 😁

    What have you made?

Almost done just ran out of green cotton but here is the “fabled” reverse bandoleer I’ve been working on-off-on, but I thought I would share and yes I know the MC pattern is not correct but when some things are on it’s not super noticeable

  27. I get it, but objectively, publicly displaying a RIF is illegal and there are many instances of people getting seen like that and the police showing up not too long after. The vast majority of the time it's not actually ARU the normal ones just come knocking and ask to check the situation, but obviously there's the possibility. I know how it is on the patch and if you know all your neighbors fair enough, but it only takes one karen to make a mountain out of a mole hill ya know? Just something to be aware of is all, 99% of folks online will query it if they see pics of airsoft out on the street like that.

Really, that sucks to hear for you, but i only ever seem to hear people saying the opposite, singing the praises of LCT and saying that E&L are the inferior AKs 🤷‍♂️ .

I have to disagree with that statement 🤔 I got a Lonex BAW recently and I can compare with my three GBBRs Its a bit different feeling of course but the kick is pretty close to that of a GBBR.
