  1. We don't talk about it. We have to include all minorities, including mentally challenged people.

  2. It looks like someone assembled a RIF out of a parts box, and when they got to the outer barrel discovered they didn’t have one so took apart a camping chair and used the leg. What on earth is going on with the back end of the upper receiver? It reminds me of the shape a dog’s back makes when it is having a crap.

  5. Wait?!....you can get box mags for L1A1s?? That would be awesome.....😜 I'm thinking a rather fetching shade of cerise for the furniture....or maybe fuchsia. I'm also quite partial to Chartreuse too.....it would look wonnnnnnnnnderful on there darlings.....and I'll scent the gearbox grease with Jean Paul Gauliter. 😘

  6. You are just the kind of people that would fit a box mag to a two tone L1A1 SLR...

  7. Sod the purists, do what suits your kit and/or you! I've got a skeleton stock, a PT-3 clone and a buffer tube awaiting a CTR/MOE stock (using an MFT off my M4 for now) so I've got a few different options to choose from 😄

  8. Don't worry, it got way worse at one point 😏 🤣

  9. so am i reading this right: you built it yourself, there was presumably a wiring short, causing a fire and this is the gearboxes fault?
    2 points
  10. Thanks for all the help on this thread,Turns out a short stroke kit should do the job...About the gas,I was just being a retard and filling it slightly wrong therefore it wasn’t blowing back.😄

  11. So built my rift today ready for when we go back out and the crap i5 set on fire for fuck knows why so I’m in the market for a m4 gear box with mosfet or completely custom cash waiting fully upgraded will be preferred but if not I’ll build it my self thanks for you time guys and gals

  13. Ah yes, apologies - when we nuke a spammer account, all trace of their existence gets wiped off the forum. Private messages, posts, adverts, the lot. But yeah, usually accounts with just: firstnamenumber are spammer accounts. If anyone ever messages you about an advert and then encourages you to go off site to continue the sale its usually always dodgy. If they ask you to email a random address, or WhatsApp a number, or go to a different site. Hit the report flag and we'll check their IP and email address etc

  15. Firstly, forgive my wife's squint photography and the assortment of kids toys etc lying about!!! Here's my first loadout cobbled together on a budget purely out of practicality. The clothing I already had, the gloves and balaclava are what I use riding my motorbike. As a sci-fi fan I'd love a sci-fi loadout inspired by the Colonial Marines from Aliens, Halo, Doomguy etc, this one has sort of ended up a weird mashup of USCM meets 80s British Army... At least it offers protection and camouflage plus it's unique to me. Might get a more futuristic piece like an XR5 or an FN2000 in time. Currently looking for an AEP as a backup (prob 1911 or DE).

  16. I've just bought that cyma from TG for just over £200 with fees. So dave charges £400 in upgrades and still uses nuprol parts. He's on to a winner, upgrade the next gun with parts you took out the last one.
    1 point
  17. Daves Custom Airsoft - he must have big windows because he can see ‘em coming a mile off. If he can upsell a Cyma to 600 notes, fair play. I bet he could also sell ice to Eskimos. *edit* Just noticed the invoice! Dave still had the balls to charge a tenner postage on a 600 quid gun, and the guy fucking paid it! Most companies have free postage over a certain amount, but not old Dave-o. What a legend.
    1 point
  18. According to that invoice; yes. He paid £600 for it! Which seems pretty mental when for the same money you could get a TM SCAR NGRS, a month’s worth of site entry, travel to said sites and a Maccies latte and hash brown en route to each game day...

  19. Serious question , can you actually make a Cyma this ‘valuable’ ? Asking for a friend .😉

Hi All, New Old Boy Here

Hi there @Squint. You are beating me by a year. Go for a bit of skirmishing you will love it and as @EDcasesays you can play tactically. Let the brave hearts do the raging hero part lol. The only running I do is my nose and urine down my leg.( can never push those last few drops out).😄 Hey I've just realised thats probably why nobody talks to me in the safe zone and why I can always have a table to myself🤔 Have fun mate👍 Regards

  25. These sort of status updates don't help "Your package may be delayed due to a required document inspection by the clearing agency. / Your package was released by the clearing agency." So which is it? Is it held up or has it been released?

  29. WAS lpc. Very nice bit of kit which you would expect for the money
    1 point
  30. Just remember that while it may not be their fault, it IS their responsibility. As the purchaser, your contract is with TG, UPS is their chosen carrier and until the package is delivered to the intended recipient it's still TG's problem.

    THE TM MWS thread

Unfortunately not... The width is a little bit different so you would need to make a spacer for the mag release... I think ATRG did a blog on how to do that though so it can be done with some modifications. Edit: Here is the link to the blog post I mentioned

  32. Well, for nearly 4 weeks mine covered a distance of about 0 Km. In case you don't work in Km I converted that to miles and it is 0 miles. However in the last 24 hrs it has gone to and left Germany. Next stop Stanford Le Hope where I can expect it to spend several more weeks judging on current history of that depot. James

    Missing Links in Airsoft?

    I want more: - retro handguns - Jericho 941, S&W 4506, more slab sided revolvers. - LMGs - decent m240's, mk48s - Gas shotties that aren't just a m870 with rails - spas12, M3, M4 The fact there's now a GBB PSG1 gives me a glimmer of hope

  35. Picked up this G3 a while ago. Just waiting for a flash hider from LCS to arrive, I’ll chop the inner barrel that extends into the suppressor down so it’s more close quarters friendly. Also got a railed handguard but not sure I want to ruin the classic lines of it, although it would be nice to mount a torch? What do people think?

    Cyma Products

Similar story (but luckily NOT me) was playing at Dragon Valley , on site there’s this wee wooden bridge that due to heavy over head cover and the right(or wrong ?) weather conditions and time of year would become more slimy than a 2nd hand car salesman who hasn’t reached his quota for the month , any hoo a very ‘gung ho’ young player goes absolutely steaming across said slime drenched bridge , obviously looses his footing starts to face plant but the flash hider of his spanky new TM M14 That he’d also dropped a silly amount of beer tokens on for firesupport to ‘up-grade’ for him digs deep in to the rotting wood of the bridge he then pivots on the butt end of it with it dug deep in to his guts to be fired over the side like a projectile from a medieval trebuchet laying siege to a fortified French town ! He lands flat on his back still grasping his M14 which now starts spouting sparks and gouts of smoke ! He screams(like a school girl I may add !😉) throws it away from him self , it lands then proceeds to catch fire and rapidly melt in to clouds of toxic fumes as it was also one of the first encounters I had with LiPo batteries ! So yea some times even top end get well and truly banjo’ed ! 🤣🤣🤣

Check the file type (usually wanna be .jpg or .png), you can get a pretty big and high quality image (in airsoft terms) at well under 2mb. Also check your upload allowance on here - shown below post when typing on desktop.

  41. I get your frustration, after being told my (not working) gun is not faulty as it left his shop working despite me sending a video of it shooting 20 times with 5 bbs in the mag and it still having 3 in the mag after 20 shots means I have lost confidence with ESC. Looks like Kyle may end up with my custom too now

    Classifieds Rules

The Law Your sale must be in compliance with Great British law, especially relevant; the VCRA, which has laid down various restrictions on the trade of Imitation Firearms (IF) and Realistic Imitation Firearms (RIF). Remember, the seller is responsible for checking and verifying the legality of a sale. Please see the UK Law section of the forums if you need any guidance on this and open a topic if you're unsure. None of the below is legal advice. In short: As a seller you are liable for who you're selling to. No airsoft gun can be sold to someone under the age of 18 irrespective of whether it's 2-tone or a RIF (i.e. black/realistically coloured) As a seller you must take precautions to satisfy yourself that who you're selling to has a valid defence against prosecution for owning an airsoft gun - for the majority of cases this means the person you're selling to should be an airsoft skirmisher. Some things you can check are: Skirmishing site membership UKARA database membership Photographic proof that a member is a skirmisher (i.e. pictures of them playing) In the interests of protecting the right to play airsoft in the UK, please be diligent when coordinating your sale, ensuring you adhere to the points above. Be responsible and reasonable in your requests for information on another player - do not ask for more information than you require or would be happy to give yourself, but do satisfy yourself that who you're selling to is a legitimate player. Forum Specific Rules (action will be taken against your account for disregarding these) Failure to comply with the rules will result in you receiving a ‘Forum Warning’. Warnings start with the verbal kind and steadily increase in respect of seriousness/repeat offences right through to a ban and deletion of all posts and topics along with your user account. Find out more about ‘Forum Warnings’. All sales / trades must take place between two adults (i.e. over 18 years of age). All sales and swaps must use the sales template. Add additional information to let buyers know your trade preferences or location for collection. This will help sell your gun or gear as listing without pictures rarely sell. All sales must have an asking price. The price must be in UK Sterling £. All sales and swaps advertisements must have a picture, all pictures must be taken by the seller. Do not use a retailers pictures - take your own. There must be at least one photo with a piece of paper showing your AFUK forum name and date next to the item(s) for sale/swap (this updated rule is effective from 01/12/2024). Do not use Photoshop or other editing software to include your username and date, this is what scammers do and will result in adverts being deleted from the Classifieds. Using photos with different usernames from other forums, and links to other forum photos, is no longer acceptable. You must have access to the item that you're selling. You cannot be selling items that you do not own, are not able to post immediately or being sold on the behalf of someone else. You must include a picture of every item that you are selling. It is not acceptable to just show a box or use a stock images. Pictures must be visible in the listing (placing a link instead of a picture is not permitted). Do not list the same item twice simultaneously. I.e. don't 'double list' an item. You cannot have an advert in both Sales and Swaps section for the same item, just select "For sale or swap" for advert type. Once your item(s) is/are definitely sold/you've found the item you're looking for (even if the sale happened elsewhere), please mark the advertisement as 'complete' by visiting the listing and clicking 'Set as Complete'. Second hand airsoft-relevant items only. No selling/swapping of any other items, this includes offering items such as consoles for trade. There are no exceptions to this rule. No sales of knives, real guns, airguns, or any item of any description that readily fires metal munitions, metal munitions themselves, or any other weapon of any type, aside from IFs and RIFs within the legal limits. The following limits are on all sales with no exceptions: <370ft/s for full auto systems with a .20g BB (1.3J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for semi auto systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) <520ft/s for single fire systems .20g BB (2.5J is the legal maximum) The Classifieds are not for retailers / shops. Any advert that appears to be from a retailer will be removed. You must communicate with your buyer/seller once a transaction is initiated (i.e. ignoring their PMs or topics asking what's going on with a sale/purchase). If you complete a trade/sale of any kind via the forums, please leave feedback for the seller/buyer, this allows us to see who we can trust or who we need to keep an eye on. You may leave feedback by going here. Any suspicions about the item(s) or seller should be sent via PM to a Moderator. Use the "Report this advert" link at the bottom of the listing and include a message (this will flag an issue for Moderators to look at). Transaction Advice (action will not be taken against your account for disregarding these) When buying or trading, we recommend that you take down the following details of the other party: full name, address, telephone number, email, alternate telephone number (work or mobile). It is wise to check the address is legitimate and that the telephone number is answered by the person you are dealing with. We also recommend that you request a photo of the items with a piece of paper next to it with the sellers username and contact details written on. We recommend PayPal for online transactions due to their excellent buyer and seller protection. Bear in mind that methods such as cheque, postal order, bank transfer or other may not be protected and as a result of using them you may not be able to retrieve your losses should anything go wrong. If you are paying for goods via PayPal, please make sure your payment is labelled for goods/services. Sellers may ask you to label your payment as a gift to avoid PayPal fees. However, this will prevent you from being able to access any of the PayPal buyer protection services (i.e. if something goes wrong, your money cannot be refunded). Should sellers ask you to do this, it may be better to offer to pay the fees out of your own pocket instead. Parcelforce 48 will post RIFs if you declare the contents as an airsoft gun. We recommend them as a courier. Disputes Given the nature of trades on these forums, it's impossible for a Moderator to mediate a trade effectively without reading your personal messages (something they cannot do and will never be able to), but if you build up a reputation for being an unscrupulous buyer/seller and are non-communicative you may receive actions against your account. Legal Disclaimer Whilst we do moderate the forums, it is not down to us to verify whether someone is legitimate or not, and whilst we will make every endeavour to ensure all our users are keeping within the law, you use these forums at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for any loss or other damages that should transpire as a direct or indirect result of your continued use of our forums. Help If you find any of the above rules unclear or would like to ask us a question please PM a Moderator. We would much rather you contacted us than just went ahead and did something. Thank you.
