  2. I think I'm letting the side down. I've got one rif, one pistol and am happy with what I've got. I look at other pews and think That's nice but I wouldn't use it as I'm happy with what I've got! I'm sorry. I'll try harder.

My Umarex / WE GBBR. Shoots very well, has a loud crack and a decent recoil , capable of massivly over hopping .30's on the stock setup.. As with the rest of my WE GBBRs I've not had a single issue with it.

  4. Update. After being promised a refund that never materialised, the bank agreed with my case and reimbursed me, yesterday.

  5. LCT midcaps arrived today for my latest rifle ready to go for the weekend as I cannot stand running round shaking like a set of maracas with hicaps! Just gutted I couldn't find the smaller midcaps and ended up with the longer 40 round versions

My LCT G3 was going to sell it but after getting it out the box realised how great it feels...then ended up getting their HK33 too!

  8. I like the Vorsk grips too. And you can also get THESE grip enhancers that fit under existing grips.

  9. My recent purchases: TM Desert Warrior from the Classifieds x3 TM M45A1 Magazines Xc1 Clone - Aliexpress purchase but is very nice and surprisingly bright for its size. Vorsk VX-9 Grips - The standard grips look a bit shit IMHO and these look quite smart. Should give the pistol a bit of a visual lift and make it more individual. Would like to change the sights....anyone have any recommendations?

  10. Dear all, The modern age is upon us, and sadly airsoft is not immune from the scammers that inhabit it. I wonder if it could be worth implementing some type of screening upon sign up to at least stop bots and stem the flow. New sign up information could require: A captcha for registration (I have a feeling that some of the scam accounts on here were actually bots) Country of origin (some plug ins will automatically detect this) and possibly ban IP addresses from outside of the UK although VPN's may have an issue here Answering a basic question upon join up such as "What was the first airsoft site you played at?" or "What does UKARA stand for?" - its really just a bit more work that the scammer will have to do, or perhaps the alternative wold work better, but use up more admin recourses in that that; All sign ups must be approved by an admin Making new sign ups have to comment somewhere on the forum or make an introduction post (whatever they write will probably give an indication of if it is a scammer or not) and have passed 2 days before being able to view and respond to the classifieds. Some of the US airsoft forums do this Require email verification upon sign up (not sure if the site does this already - I can't remember signing up for the site myself!) Cyber crime is on the rise - consider implementing a security position internally on the staff team, one of the roles being to report scammer email addresses appropriately. The NCSC encourage people to report scamming email addresses here https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/phishing-scams/report-scam-email Alternatively to that - it could be worth implementing an internal process where scamming email addresses are submitted to community led scam databases such as this https://www.scamdb.net/index.html - this tool could also be used by said internal sec to vet sign ups Perhaps add a caveat on sign up that says scammers will be reported to the authorities, it may put some off...but at the very least it shows that the forum takes it seriously which is reassuring for users I also had some other ideas for website revenue generation and streamlining the classifieds. At the end of the day, revenue and income should not be dirty words and it merely supports the forum and its growth. Of course all paid for ideas would be optional and top of what already exists: Introduce an optional charge of £2 for forum users to put up another 5 ads after they have reached the maximum of 10 Add a premium section on top of "What's New", "Random Adverts" and "Expiring soon" and then have a "Premium Listing" option when putting the advert on the website where users can pay £2 - this then keeps those paid for ads along the premium bar for 7 days Consider adding a wanted section per category e.g one for Gas, one for electric and one for spring. This allows those wishing to sell an easier way to filter according to what they have and thus better target the "wanted" market Consider adding an "SMG" category to "Gas" and "Electric". This will take away the confusion of choice in terms of users posting it in "Rifles" or "Other". I imagine an SMG category would be popular Consider expanding the AFUK patches for sale - introduce other designs e.g anniversaries Consider allowing patches to be paid for via paypal - its the most popular and widely used platform in the UK with a monthly traffic of over 50 million. 81% of online vendors in the UK accept it. I was going to buy a patch but don't use skrillex and its a faff to find my credit card lol, well one of them! Paypal however - easy. TL;DR- I predict an uptake in patch sales if you allowed paypal. Charge £2 for a forum name change - I would pay that haha! For a month after the name change - a sort of caveat name plate could be seen below the name that says "formally known as ...." This could then disappear after a month so that people do not use it for SERE lol! Other general ideas: Consider adding in a team recruitment section in "Other Airsoft Stuff" - this will attract more teams and thus users Many thanks for reading! Cheers

  11. Metal Cyma Trishot that came with ×18 shells ×3 elastic shell carriers for the velcro panel on the receiver M4 mag adapter + High cap mag Pretty nice at £75, a very fun gun and now a donor piece. Designing a triple TDC hopup that uses AEG barrels for the funny, might be able to get a comically accurate shotgun... Mmm triple barrel sniper...

Hello all! I'm Moose, have read and lurked for a little while before joining. I'm totally new to airsofting, but have had a passing interest in guns for a long time as my dad used to do competition shooting and had a number of guns before the laws changed. Have bought a GHK SIG 553 to get started with but looking to get (many) more. Got my first airsoft match booked for Saturday, nighttime CQB at Combat Airsoft in Norfolk. Then hopefully going to RIFT in Abingdon on Sunday for the fancy dress Halloween game, dressed in a suitably naff seagull onesie. 😂

I suppose i'm a purist in the sense that i really like the standard 553 stock and grips. 😂 I only bought the hop-up on the basis of it being an available upgrade. I have no idea how to fit/adjust it yet. All that matters is that you like it and it works for you. I'm a bit boring in how i like my guns. A laser has arrived: I have two more on the way but this one might stay, it's just the perfect size. Clears the light mounting and below the sight lens. This might be this gun finished on the outside.👌🏻

Cybergun (WE-tech) FN-SCAR-H GBB Rifle with 7x magazines. I've not played for a while and am selling some of my kit as it doesn't get used. No upgrades to the SCAR itself. But it shoots around 360fps on green gas so it had been modified to make it single shot only to use as a DMR) The modification is internal and can be revoked by an engineer if desired, it is a simple reattachment near the trigger. The weapon works perfectly in S (single mode) as a semi automatic DMR but if A (Auto) is selected it will fire one round and need manual re-cock to fire again. Comes with 7x magazine (all official ares) can't remember the capacity but its low (around 30ish) and they weigh a bit. Fully working PEQ box (never tested the IR laser but everything else works) needs new battery. Can be used on the grip switch or on all the time. 2 point sling as I found 3 point annoying with this rifle. Great for mil-sim or just those who appreciate real feel (running out of ammo). Nice kick on the blow back and very crisp even in February. Skirmished with a couple of times only. Slight rust on one Allen bolt (see photos) but otherwise near mint condition. Can post at cost to buyer or happy with face to face ... I work in Birmingham a lot so could bring to there.

  17. I'm not seeing any issues, but to be fair I am only the tea boy so wouldn't know where to find the technical stuff. Could your phone have performed an auto update which is screwing with things ?, it's happened to me before.

  18. Yeah, my 553 started off looking just like yours The only internal upgrade I have done is fitted an npas to adjust velocity I’m actually happy with my accuracy from the standard hop & barrel Fitted the cheek rest and changed the front end Then changed the stock then got a RS Magpul AK MOE grip which took a bit of cutting to fit So this is how it sits now

  19. Knock-off Surefire light Vector Optics 4x sight Vector Optics red dot sight Mini red laser Maple Leaf hop-up kit Wo Sport tracer/flash hider (flash maker) This is how it currently looks, just waiting on the laser and new flash hider. Acetech Bifrost R looks good and is great for muzzle flash but is a lousy tracer. The Wo Sport silencer/tracer is great though. Hopefully the new Wo Sport will be the best of both. The laser sight will sit on the front of the top rail. I've removed the front iron sight for it. Used some 45° brackets and a 9-slot rail to make the mount for the red dot. I have another bracket coming, if it's better i'll use it instead. This just clears the charging handle. These Vector Optics sights are really nice, and not too expensive either. The only other thing i've done is cut the joining tabs off the magazines. Got any pics of your 553? Thank you, Galvatron.

  21. Uhm, I don't think such selector plates can be found anymore.. Why don't you shim it so that it stays in place during firing? If you're really keen on not upgrading to a proper FCU (you have your reasons and nobody can force you) you may give it a "new" life with zero expense. Btw you should really install the ARL again, seems silly to me to rely on the motor alone to keep the gearbox from spinning the other way, unless you have some sort of uni directional motor, which is not the case since it's a SHS HT..

  23. Hi there, it's buffalo bill here. Congratulations, you have won a life time supply of Tokyo Marui products. I would like to invite you to our factory, it is located in down town LA - so cowabunga dude! I noticed you have a lot of TM's already, so maybe you don't need the lifetime supply? No dramas if not, I will convert it into a life time supply of heavily worn MTP trousers. MTP stands for Mega Theadders Pal and is sort of like a medal of honour.

    MP9 Misfiring

I think I’ve found the cause. The magazine is losing gas mid way through. When it starts to half cycle: I took the magazine out, regassed it and it fed the other half of the magazine. I’m going to look at replacing the nozzle with the thicker wall and green part (Worst case scenario, I end up with a spare nozzle)

  27. I've been into airsoft for around 30 years, but have only got serious into collecting about 10 years. My job and family commitments haven't allowed me to play really much in the past so collecting was my only option which soon turned into my hobby! When I meet my now wife I explained to her about the sport and that they weren't really gun and she was OK with it as she calls them"toy guns" and let's me get on with it that's was until last month when she had to help me move them to our new home!!!! My new house had a garage which I'm converting into my gun room to home my ever growing collection which my wife now says after seeing it is" getting out of hand" which brings me onto the reason for the post.. how many guns people have in there collection and show us your collection.. Ps I have 150 and can't see me stopping!!

  31. Eh. I'd always go by the statute. S22 (1) purchase or hire is only for firearms. S22 (4) possession of an air weapon or ammunition, OK, they got us. But 23 (1) and (3) supervision will apply at any airsoft site. Transporting to and from site without a 21+ adult is problematic, but only if you're actually caught with it. At that point, you need your "reasonable excuse" for S19 possession of an imitation (realistic or otherwise) and once you've produced that and calmed the copper down, you'd have to be phenomenally unlucky to be prosecuted. S24 (4) Gifting air weapons to under 18, OK, got us again. So, don't gift it, retain ownership and lend it under supervision, as per S24 (4) (b) / S23. We can update our advice to mums and dads. Just keep doing what we've been doing, and we'll be fine, not fined.

  33. It's all a mess the hole system needs revamping. Sadly if they ever do get round to it, it will probably only turn out to be bad news for the shooting sports. They will invariably take the opportunity to ban or make it harder to get some items.

  34. I'd say no as section 57A has specific exemptions for airsoft guns not to be classed as firearms https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/27/section/57A

  36. I think they revealed the engine at the same time as the MTW-308. To me it isn't a shotgun, just a really big burst fire, and it's going to 100% be a massive wankergun
