  1. Last game at Red Alert (Newbury), pictures by Dan Wiltshire. Great day, great game. 20+ year old Famas coming out of retirement after 15 years of being in a basement. Luke Dobson slapped it back into shape and it ran fiiiiine.

  2. <castle-confused.gif> When I'm not playing dress up, I often just throw on an assault vest. Very adjustable to accommodate for bulges, you can fill the pockets to cover love-handles or love-pillows, not exactly tacticool-hi-speed but it gets the job done. Also, what's the internet cooming to these days?

  3. On Sunday I deployed children. Had a brew, loaded mags, had a kip through the briefing, heated chicken tikka, had a brew, slept through game one, bombed up the kids mags, had a brew and a nap in game two. Packed up and recovered children. It didn’t rain. Best game ever.

  5. Made my way over to UCAP Green Ops yesterday. It's a bit out of my way and further than I would normally travel, but I had to drop my girlfriend at Gatwick for 7:30, so thought I'd treat myself... Anyway, what a really great site. There wasn't a huge amount of people, only 40 or so at the start of the day but the games were fun. Started with your typical fall back defence game, followed by a timer game then drugs/bombs in the helicopter. Nothing revolutionary but what makes the site so great is what they've done with the playing area. They've built/dug loads of bunkers, buildings, trenches etc, so there's loads of variety in quite a small site. It's not all long distance stuff either, so they've created a sort of woodland CQB in some ways. The other thing, which is a pet peeve at some sites, is that they've kept on top of maintenance. Lots of the rhodendrons/bushes/weeds are kept in check with paths kept clear. That means you can move around the site easily and everyone isn't funneled into one small area because the rest is impassible. Bit too far for me to be a regular site but if I find myself that way again I'll head over.

  7. When the Raptor Grach was announced, I asked my local shop to get me one in with an extra mag, mount etc. Ended up selling it back to them due it being awful. About three years later, walk in and see another one sitting on the counter with the current owner asking if the shop owner wanted to buy it back (They didn't). I was chatting to the guy and he was explaining what was wrong with it, and I was responding to all the issues with "Mine did that too", only to then find out the guy had bought it from the shop owner 3 years ago! I offered him a reasonable amount for it, to which he accepted and so now one of the coolest (IMO) GBBP's is back in my collection! And yes, it's still barely useable... 😭

  10. Thought I would share my experience so far. Ordered a pistol (153 GBP) from WGC Shop on the 9th of September, it shipped on the 12th and arrived in the UK on the 14th (Sat). I contacted UPS this morning (16th) to ask for the paperwork which I filled in and returned immediately. Lets see how long the release takes.

I ran one of these for a while perhaps 15yrs ago ? Might be more 😛 replaced the bellows with an “ANGS” piston / cylinder kit ( if o recall ) and it ran very well with a decent chug along ROF from the foxholes at combat south woodland 😛 dated in internal terms now , but would make a great collectors piece . Value , as above really £200-£300 .

No, not what you might infer from the title. This isn't about reconnecting with people you might have once known. I'm talking about guns. After previously seeing an advert for something I thought may have once been mine it made me think about this. For those that have been playing a while we'll have inevitably worked our way through a plethora of guns, from the first AEG we ever bought, to the beloved bolt action that we traded and soon regretted, to the impulse buy shotgun that never even got used and was sold shortly after. Have you ever come across something that you've previously owned and sold, whether it's still owned by the same person or it's even passed on to someone new? I'm not talking about selling them to someone you know and see regularly and therefore it's barely even gone, but more you've posted one off to someone halfway across the country; only to later bump into it and instantly recognise it, or you took it down to a bring & buy sale and then saw it online at a later date. Did anyone ever buy it back? Was it being sold for more than you parted with it? Any other interesting or amusing stories connected to this? Off the top of my head, I recall meeting Someone at a somewhat local site, but not one I often visit who remembered me selling them a modern magpul style AK, and was actually still using it on the day; running strong a couple of years later! And then fairly recently Seeing an ASG M15 with a distinctive paint job go up on discord that I recognised as mine straight away, being sold at a price probably a bit more than I'd sold it for! Interested to hear from anyone else!

  18. It's something we're lacking here in the south east, so when a visit to the private range I use the owner asked me what was something that's missing down this way and I jokingly said "Build a killhouse" And he said OK 😂 So now K42 is getting it's own killhouse which I can't complain about even if we are doing all the work, this site isn't going to be a walk on public typical skirmish place but once it's done it will be an invite only to other teams we want to run with Here's some progress photos from the first 5 hours between two of us on day one

Accessory/Make: Crusader and Clutch Precision Condition: New Splits/Swaps/Part Exchange: N/N/N Price/Payment: See below. All prices include PayPal and postage. Pictures: Attached Crusader MP5SD suppressor - £110 (I am lead to believe there is a size difference between the threads on the VFC barrel and the threads on this suppressor. The threads on the crusader barrel are supposed to be a correct fit for this. Where the barrel widens, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch of material will need to be removed from the barrel to allow this to fit.) Crusader, VFC MP5SD steel outer barrel - £20 (drop in replacement for original VFC barrel.) Crusader, VFC MP5 light mount- £30 Clutch Precision MP5 steel cocking handle support tube - £30 (drop in replacement for the MP5A5, but some material will need to be filed off the left hand edge if fitting to the SD3 as the tube rubs against the suppressor) All Parts are as new.

SOLD For sale is a WE M4 build as pictured. The gun is in decent condition overall with some signs of wear and should function well however I have no mags to test this with so will be sold as seen. Has an EMG SAI Bolt carrier group installed along with engraved BCM markings on the receiver. No muzzle device or rear takedown pin, although a similar size one is in place that keeps it together well. Also has an issue that the trigger reset on semi doesn’t work so it won’t cycle on semi properly without the trigger being repaired, it should however cycle fine on full auto. parts as follows: EMG SAI Bolt Carrier Group Clone DD Lite Rail Magpul PTS MOE-K Green Clone Magpul CTR FDE Ambi Charging Handle The SAI Bolt itself is worth a bit so this could be used for parts or could be repaired fairly easily by someone familiar with WE M4s. currently don’t want to split but will consider it with enough interest open to swap offers Please PM with any offers or questions thanks!

  25. This is an issue I tried to weigh in on when I was in the Forces. The fact is, decades after female personnel were allowed to serve, despite them seeing combat during the GWOT, and years after they were allowed into combat arms, the kit, including PPE, is still designed with the male body in mind. A prime example of unconscious bias that could literally cost lives. The only purpose made body armour for female I've ever seen was from a female friend whose father's girlfriend was a bodyguard, and she inherited it and was skirmishing with it in the early 2000s. However. Soft inserts (foam yoga mats cutouts) in body armour covers/plate carriers will follow her body shape without too much restrictions.

PGC made a gearbox that fitted these with a bit of mod. It might also take a A&K or similar M249 gearbox with a little work. It will be full steel most likely so it might appeal to someone looking for something a bit more durable that the AK version. As tackle said it's hard to price anywhere from £200 to £600 depending on how much someone wants a solid M60

  32. So the ladies seem to get on with the likes of PT Armor (like the stuff worn in the movie Black Hawk Down) Its soft and has elastic sides so can conform around the bust for good fit. Then wear whatever over the top. A cooler (as in heat) would be something like a British Assault Vest (good price for a bit of kit that will outlast you). Is good because "it has pouches covering the nips and protects lower back). https://preppersshop.co.uk/british-military-dpm-assault-vest-62566-p.asp https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/8fields-tactical-pt-tactical-body-armour

  35. Don't know if I'm too late to help here, but all I can say is I've had great successes with my WE P226, I typically run it on red gas both winter and summer, it kicks and barks quite nicely, it's not the most accurate but then that's the price of the lovely WE package. My experience with the TM one was it felt almost, tacky? Wayyy lighter than the WE, did not give that "Holy hell" feeling. If I could, i'd chose the WE again, the mags are holding up well too, and having disassembled it, the internal parts seem of good quality. Anyway that's all I can say, hope this helped despite being a late reply

  36. Played at Survival yesterday. Combination of weather and recent road closures which had only just been re opened kept numbers down . About 28 of us, but what a great day ! . Now i Iove low number days 'cos it's way more tactical , add in a decent number of first timers and no snipers and it was bloody great. The rental guys all got stuck in and played well. Proper hit calling all round and fair play from everyone. We wone the first 3 games, and although we did probably work better as a team, the other team never gave up , none of that 'we're going to lose so meh' attitde, they kept coming right till game over. Pacey games using only part of the field each time , teritory game, raise / lower the flag in the village and get the barrel from the centre start point as close to the other teams HQ as poss. That one involved running into a hail of BBs ! Game 4 was interesting . I was made team leader (probably based on age 😂) and got to pick 4 other guys. We then had to rescue a casualty ( manakin on a stretcher) from the medic station and get him back to our start point. Other team of everyone else were already spread out covering th earea when we started. We seriously didn't think we'd do it, the casualty was so well covered, but a concerted push just before the end got him out with 2 of our guys running him back up the hill to base . At that stage i was completely soaked as it had rained pretty steadily most of the day and various body parts were complaining, so I called it a day. Ran my L119 A2 and G3 GBBR's , they both got stashed in the airing cupboard over night to dry them off before a strip and clean today.

  38. Played at Special Ops HQ - the fireplace in Milton Keynes on Friday night. It was a rare opportunity for a night game as I’m not normally in area on a Friday night. I spent the whole night trying not to get shot in the face, thinking about the wedding photos for my friend… instead of getting shot in the face, someone got a good angle and I was shot in the “two veg”… I was then shot a few more times because my hand wasn’t raised 😂 Anyway, it was an awesome night and a good indoor venue - I’d highly recommend giving the site a visit. I ran my GHM9-G and a few TM glocks - I’m very impressed with the GHM9 and loved that one type of magazine serviced both RIFs 👍🏽

Would much rather collection due to the size from my local site as I cant personally drive, as well lets you try it in person first. Ill be there on the 8th Sept next hopefully. (Location is set to my local sites address) I dont want to do splits but might be tempted by trades of some kind. Selling as after the milsim i just attended I much prefer running a rifle or smg over this. Love it for larping but unless strict ammo limits are in the rules just isn't that fun for me as anyone else with like a HPA m4 has a better lmg with mid caps.

  50. Small alteration to my Direct Action Gear dump pouch. I already had the Esstac Kywi in it but I added a molle popper to keep the 3rd column of molle against the belt and hold it open better. Then I added some elastic cord and cordlock to allow a can of gas to be stowed in there too. The cordlock is ziptied to the back of the pouch so I can grab the knotted end and pull it tight one handed.
