Didn't realise Ikea made one with a "desk mount". Might actually work for me as I live in a rental just now, and I'm not to keen mounting it on the walls.3 points -

If this is the same person I think it might be I'd like to follow this up even though it is a few months ago. Sadly, we/I had to ask this person to leave site after the 2nd game due to them not being able to follow certain safety rules. The rule in question being eye protection being worn at all times outside of the safezone. Our google reply was as follows: "Hi Danu, I’m really, genuinely sorry that we had to end your day and send you home early, but we are very clear that safety is our primary concern at AWA, and we have to send repeat offenders home. You should never, ever, take your eye pro off in the gaming area. You were warned twice personally, and a party to two group warnings as well as the warning in the morning safety briefing. We realise that this opens us up to revenge reviews, but despite our differences, I’d rather send you home early with two working eyes and suffer the bad reviews than the alternative. It’s the number one rule in airsoft, please, if you continue to play in future, at any site, you must take it seriously, you only get one set of eyes Danu, and we want you to keep them."3 points -

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/21194-full-metal-m4-bundle-metal "I painted it green to match my other airsoft guns and to make it look cooler" Right. My 4 year old nephew could have painted it better than this abomination. "Paint can be removed easily." Of course. So easily that you didn't do it yourself to give yourself a chance of increasing the resale value of the gun. Gotcha.3 points

Update on the MG4 optic: it works, and looks damn good on there. Even at 15% infill the PETG I used is very strong, and I was able to use it as a functional carry handle. Granted the MG4 is very light for a LMG and it’s currently empty, but still surprisingly it didn’t just crumble in half. I’ll probably sleep on the design and if I can’t find any faults with it tomorrow I’ll send for it to be printed in SLS for a “production” model.3 points -

As someone who was both at the event in question, and just a few dozen meters from that dude, it was a bit different than that. First, it was a Taginn Paladin chalk round - a round that IMO should never be shot at personnel. Second, he was either the gunner or in the door of the vic - vics are absolutely allowed to be direct impacted, and it’s recommended as a non-explosive round doesn’t have a kill radius and it’s far harder to land a round within 3m of a vic than it is to actually hit one. Third, the hit was hard enough to destroy his eyepro. Fourth, he was a real trooper and after getting cleaned up, went to the on-site store, bought himself a new pair of eyepro, and got back in the game. It was Op Stonebreaker 2021 or 22. That was the last Op I went to before getting ASFPUK or DMFP masks for some added face protection after seeing that hit. I’ve taken direct impacts from the explosive Taginns and they aren’t too bad - though I wouldn’t want the frag on bare skin. Heres a pic from the event; Im on the left with the Tropentarn , helmet, and TK45c.3 points -

Display Wall / Cabinets
Scubasteve89 and one other reacted to Tommikka for a topic
Just because @Scubasteve89has discovered the desktop fittings, I’ll point out a couple of other options for fitting display systems …… I use grid walls at shows etc and we build them into various different setups. Outside in a gazebo we’ll use tall grid walls and zip tie them to parts of gazebo, inside we’ll have them both on the ground with feet and also mounted onto tables. For added stability we’ll make corner arrangements ziptieing and clamping grid walls to each other I can’t find a decent photo at the moment but also use ‘grid shelves’ which then get used to add stability around corners etc We don’t do this at shows, but if you have a fixed area and you can drill holes then there are hangers (combine hangers and feet if there’s space) A couple of traders have ‘door hooks’ that can be put over a display wall to hang grid wall The ones on the tables are about to be assembled and stood up, the wall hanging is a buddies mobile airsoft shop which some members may recognise2 points -

Recently got a SLONG (revised version) of it's V2 shell for some testing, was impressed with the finishing on it, powder coating I think, very smooth and clean. It's missing some radius, got QD, very decent stainless steel spring guide with a bearing. Could do with some better wire channelling. On the surface compatibility looks good but till you try it in every brand you never quite know.2 points

Outcome unclear: did you died? ... and yet ... Which is a huge failure of foresight, given that people are gunning out of them, or windows will be open. Granted, there are plenty of other "shoulds" in airsoft that can result in injury if not followed, like removing eyepro in game, or lobbing BFGs at head height - which I've been on the receiving end of. What makes TAGs special are that they're always carrying much, much more energy than anything else being shot, and that once you've pulled the trigger, there's plenty of time for things to change at your intended point of impact. I'd nope out of any event that allows them.2 points

And in no way am I offended by your laws or take it as an attack. I was just curious. Although I’m happy to not have it the american way with orange tips. It wasn’t too long ago you needed a licence to own most gasguns over here. Now the limit is at 10j for semi and 3j for automatic. But we have a problem with firearms violence here, and kids with airsoftguns pose a problem for the police since its hard to tell the difference from real guns. A system like UKARA might help.1 point -

I’m not sure if this is cursed or amazing but I love it. Thanks @MILITATED the Strike adaptor is perfect and arrived in no time. Air tank was running fairly low by the time I got to testing the short bolt but it seems to be in that golden 15-20rps range and tuned to bang on 1J output with 0.32’s. TM MP5 NGRS Owners
Mr Dellski reacted to PigDoggy for a topic
Group shot of the Marui MP5 NGRS collection. Gots the A4, A5, SD6 and put together an SD5 (made from a next Gen A4 and SD6). Other Mp5 is kitted out with Magpul stuff. Finally done buying these things. 😂 edit: vfc flashlight handguard had a slight front/back play which is annoying as the hole for the pin is oblong-ish. I removed the two strips of plastic to allow for battery space for mounting it on the A5. I cut a small piece from those plastic pieces and glued it at the back of the rear tab (which hook into the upper receiver). No more front-rear play anymore. No creaking. I now use the stock push pin instead of the locking pin that came with my Magpul SL handguard for the mp5.1 point -

I picked up a red dot sight, off here, and decided to design and 3d print a protector. 1st prototype looks cool enough but cutting the acrylic sheet round and then fitting it into the holder was too much. So . . Prototype mk2 Happy with that one. Printed quickly in PLA so I'll get some better fillament, maybe ABS, and print it properly. Designed in Tinkercad, sliced in Prusaslicer, printed on an Anycubic Kobra.1 point
