  2. I've barely ever heard anyone in a video pronounce Salomon correctly. The one that really gets me (and this has been going on for at least 10 years) is the blatant global lie that is the use of the word polymer to somehow mean something different to plastic. 'Oh this is polymer, not just plastic'... get fucked.

    Returning which gun?

Awaits "So, I bought an Ares because you get what you pay for."

  5. Since it's new return it. It's a pain but you have paid for a gun that shoots properly. Many here are well versed in gun fiddling so, like me would open it up and rotate the barrel, bucking etc.

  8. Latest arrival Not much info regarding these online, and YT videos are very old and scarce Im pleasantly surprised with the build quality of the TM plastics and more metal than I had expected. Still to be tested as my batteries are deans and I don’t want to change this at all. more a collectors piece than skirmishable, but it will get an outing one day The few YT videos out there show partial markings, this has full “UZI” on the receiver, probably something to do with different markets, but didn’t think that TM bothered with that stuff

  9. Why not a cooling off period between registering and first post? Another forum I joined many years ago now verifies email addresses before allowing new users to post. I remember in the dim.and distant days of moderating UKASC emails had to be "proper" ISP addresses, but now everyone used GMail and Yahoo so it isn't practical banning "pop-ups".

  10. Have look for thw warrior assault roc in a swimmer cut. It's narrower than standard plate carriers as it cuts a great part of the upper corners of the plate to allow more arm movement. Outside of that plate carriers are usually designed around the standard plates so will close to those sizes with smaller cummerbund if your lucky.

    Warranty.

Land Warrior's warranty: "All damaged deliveries or shortages must be reported within 24 hours of receipt, any longer than this may invalidate your claim. Standard Warranty/Guarantee All electric rifles, spring rifles and electric pistols come with a 12 month warranty, unless otherwise stated. Batteries, slings, speed loaders and chargers included with electric rifles/pistols are not covered under warranty as they are regarded as 'free' items. Gas pistols, gas rifles & spring shotguns have a 30 day warranty. Warranties are not transferable."

  13. Julius Caesar and Pompey the Great were rivals for the position of First Consul of Rome. They spoke before the Senate, putting forward their cases for election to the post, by recounting their deeds in the service of Rome. “When the Gauls attacked Rome, I defended the city,” Pompey said, “and drove them out killing 100,000 Gauls.” “I invaded Gaul,” Caesar said, “and I too slew 100,000 Gauls.” So the Senate gave the position to Caesar because in Europe away Gauls count double.

    1 point
  19. Yeah as you just got it new, may as well try a return for a refund or replacement. I've had a pistol do the same from new but can't remember which one it was. It should be easily fixable by checking the position of the hop as Enid_Puceflange said. My Vorsk VX-9 shoots really well so its not a general problem with them.

  20. The seller could at least be transparent to itemise the upgrades to back up the claim of being "fully modified" when they're selling it for a grand. That being said, why they haven't modded it to fire within most site limits as you alluded to is beyond me.

Only just got this, but seen something else that tickles my fancy Im sadly on a strict “one in - one out) rule This is more a collectors piece than due to its age, I’ve been unable to find out when they were discontinued, but found out they were released in 1998 In solid condition, no cracks, just a bit of patina to the metal top cover (paint missing) boxed, with almost everything that would be included when bought new Loader, beebs, tracer adapter, TM sling Spare internals which look almost enough to complete a build in another shell (gearbox, gears, barrel, piston, hop unit etc etc) 8 mags of which it’s 50/50 split of short & long Ive just wired it to deans , and tested it for firing using a 7.4 At time of writing I haven’t put beebs through it to Chrono it, I’ll do that tomorrow Im aware prices for this will be up n down due to age and usability, probably worth more to someone who collects older , rarer replicas. But tbh it feels like it would stand up to the occasional skirmish day, feels WAAY more solid than my old JG G3 I had a few years ago! ? So , I’m looking for ballpark figures please dudes

  23. I've no experience with them, but you've done the right thing by not opening it up, I'd recommend you email patrol base & then follow it up with a phone call, if they recommend anything other than returning it, ask them to confirm their advice via return email, & should it still have an issue, insist on a full return for refund or exchange, depending on what YOU want. Unfortunately vorsk aren't known for qc, so it could be a one off lemon, or a generic issue with them ?

  24. A couple of years ago I bought the newly released Asia Electric (WE) Sig P320 (m17) It did the same thing, badly designed and made hop unit which applied pressure at an angle instead of from direct top of the beeb If you remove the inner barrel from the outer, apply 50% hop , then take a look through from the hop end, is it square vertically? could be your outer barrel & rubber is slightly tilted to the side during assembly?

  25. I quite like the programmer, although I recently had to wire it to Deans. Changing the VZ58 to Deans delivered an unexpected bonus; the Deans connectors are just the right size to keep the three battery cells in exactly the right places to make refitting the handguard simple, rather that the nightmare it was before.

  31. Watching YouTubers play Airsoft is painful, I don't do that anymore. It's neither entertaining or informative. YouTube and gun tech or advice is useful to me. I'm not fond of the look at me, like me culture social media in general engenders.

  32. In Italy it's more commonly referred to as "SOCOM" because it's easier to pronounce (and sounds much better, from a language perspective) than Mark 23, mk23 or any other name.

  34. I know I bring this one out whenever one of these threads appears but… Based on a real gun, if you stormed Omaha beach without dying, in 10 minutes and with 20 kills back in 1944 you’d be able to equipment this chrome and carbon monstrosity when you next saw your quartermaster. Built to try and tempt the wife into playing, she had said she wanted something that looked like it was from Borderlands. She ended up refusing to play and this got sold on…. King Arms Chrome receiver set and hydro dipped furniture. The icing on the upsetty-spaghetti for a real purist is that I cut the ears off the rear sight and drilled it to be a mounting fixture for the mini red dot

    GBBR thoughts...

Umarex is a rebrand company. Their H&K GBBR are made by VFC which are considered a higher quality over WE. £500 can get you a decent GBBR however if you want to use them in a game you need 5 to 6 mags and they start at £50 and up depending on manufacture. So a practical GBBR budget starts at around £700. Also even the high end guns require regular maintenance and are much more likely to break than an AEG. You also need to think of a GBBR will suit you. 5 GBBR mags can hold about the same number of BBs as 1 mid cap you have to chose your shots and full auto is pretty much out the window so any hire player will a single high cap can out gun you. I personally only use a GBBR for single shot indoor CQB. I tried outdoors got very frustrated and had to go back to the safe zone to grab an AEG after half an hour as I had reloaded my mags twice was out of BBs and our if gas.
