Have a rear QD sling pin from HKparts. PTS muzzle and Laylax HK Mode-2 silencer towards the pointy end. chopped down ZCI 100 spring installed. ~325 FPS with .20g bbs/ ~275 FPS with .25g bbs. All else are standard parts. Per the description from impulse101, no mods were required to install the lower. However, on my unit….I opted to sand down less than 0.5mm off of the left side selector lever to create better clearance. The selector would have probably functioned fine without shaving some material down. I ordered another one for one of my SD6’s. I’ll see how that install goes.

Ah this old chestnut. Yes he is claiming that, but I think this is what happened: The "KMCS" (his ghillie suit system) is made in Russia. When they invaded Ukraine, all Russian exports stopped. Russian mil find a crate of KMs ghillies stuck in customs and decide to commandeer it for the war effort as they are super short on everything and then some. KM is informed of this. He decides to spin it as marketing, claiming that his suit is SO GOOD that it's been made for and issued by the Russian military (which is technically half true, in the same way that bricks painted green have been issued to Russian tank units for use as ERA.) It's harmless PR bullshit upselling at best and dishonest (by giving no context) at worst.

I have a friend who’s just starting to get into airsoft. He went to MAW a couple of weekends ago and was telling me about a sniper who kept shooting them in their spawn and the hits hurt like he had never felt before (he did complain to the marshal) he also said that he was shooting people himself included after they had said hit and out their hand up. Lo and behold kicking mustang releases a video of him in a tree spawn camping. My friend is in it and you can even see him get overshot too. Friend said where he was sitting was far closer than 30th tree MED. people like him need banning from all sites!

Glass is pretty flat, good enough for our purposes. There's no friction reduction to be had since friction is independent of area, the high points produce no more friction than if the load was spread over the whole shim. Our gearboxes are not precision machines, we can shim to 100 microns, were using plain bearings, with mediocre gears and unknown manufacturing tolerances for anything. Anything we do like this is because we like to fettle. Breaking in a gearbox is not something I've ever done, only the bevel gear could wear and offer a chance to correct the wear and that only between the motor pinion and bevel gear. Gearboxes have slack right from the outset, gear backlash, bearing to shaft gap, gear end float etc. It's not put together tight like an ICE for example and run in. Maybe that's something to try, build it tight and run it at low load until its not tight any more... Sure is fun to fettle tho.

You could very well be right, keeping track of all of these shenanigans causes one's brain the blend this and that into a hazy soup filled with indiscretions and the odd hit marker. If anything I think both scenarios are true, post-invasion allowing for bigging up the initial claims (because there probably was at least one Russian trooper who was unwittingly handed a KMCS, which by virtue of being "technically true" can now be used to justify all sorts of PR for the suit.) However, nobody's been prosecuted or convicted for it (absent some chancers with CO2 powered 'self defence' .50 cal paintball guns). So, deep breaths. It's a long, lonnnng way from here to any real consequences. What I'd suggest that you do is to contact https://www.ukapu.org.uk/ and ask for advice. Someone there will be able to talk you through the legislation, the airsoft defence that applies, and how you can demonstrate it, should you need to. If it were me, I'd print off several copies of an information pack listing the offence (VCRA 2006, S36 causing a realistic imitation firearm to be imported), the defence (S37 as amended, permitted activity, airsoft use) and your defence (membership of an airsoft skirmish site with 3rd party liability insurance, I hope), plus contact details for anyone who can confirm that. Keep this handy, get in some decent tea and a nice biscuit selection (Garibaldis!), and welcome in any coppers sent out to investigate your criminal empire - they won't have any real clue why they've been sent out. It almost certainly won't come to that, but better to have the information and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I've tried the purge method on a couple of mags that didn't seem to hold the same amount as previously and it seemed to improve them. Not empirically tested tho. Its very easy to do so may as well give it a try (and report your experience)

it'd only be actual air if the mag had been completely emptied and left open to air before filling (eg first fill after a rebuild), otherwise by "air" whats really meant is the gaseous portion of the mags contents. that's exactly what happens. there is logic to venting the gaseous portion of a mags contents as its being filled, it keeps the pressure of the mag lower than the fill bottle hence ensuring it keeps flowing regardless of how full or empty the bottle is. however as you summise, it's pointless to vent from the bottom as that'll just dump liquid out, it's gotta vent from the top (which when filling is the fill valve). tm are the main manufacturer for using vented fill valves, although i have seen them elsewhere (eg airsoft innovations 40 mike and derivatives), idea being you fill until you get liquid spew from the valve. for non vented fill valves you can pulse when filling, but this risks overfilling (this is how i'd refill a lighter as it doesn't matter so much if there's no gas portion)

I've got a Jg T3 MC51 that I've yet to skirmish but getting it inspired me to get the West German Field Gear, it's a cheap AEG but feels pretty good and fires at 1.08j 339.9fps on .2's Now wondering if it's butt stock would fit the G3A4 I have to make a 'proper' G3, along with my other unfinished pew plans it'll need to wait until I can be arsed.
