Don’t waste money on sniper rifles.

The Depot used to ask, but (2nd hand anecdote) what ended strobes there was when a lad found out the hard way while standing at the top of some stairs. Even very bright and narrow beam weapon lights are a bit of a cad's trick. At some point you're not using them to see, but to avoid being seen.

Strobe is such a cancer feature I'm always against it because it gives you huge advantage against anyone else. It's not fun to play against it and it's annoying. Any decent site marshall mentions and asks if everyone is okay with it. Also, if anyone is sensitive or has epilepsy it's out of question.

I have just got mine today. A gen 3 model. It's a beauty. Rock solid build, no wobble and all the trades. It makes some of my aegs feel like toys. The recoil is amazing and much stronger than my we g39. I have a load of different weight bbs so will spend a bit of time of dailing it in before I take to it's first game in a few weeks.

Here is my good old WE G39c. Done a few mods on its including and NPAS, steel charging handle, maple leaf bucking and a tight bore barrel. Shoots like a laser but can be difficult to get under 350fps on a warm day.

I assume that once you have one of these, the only thing you will see is aliens coming out of the walls

Gareth has been busy and brought a new site! Its the old Ambush adventure site. Given the development he has done on the Gatwick site, I'm super excited! (Its also an hour closer to me). Some players may not know but I was the head marshal at this site for sometime. I know every inch of the site and how it plays and the issues. This site will undergo a huge rebuild. This will include: New safe zone hardcore. New toilet block with real toilets. New seating and cover. Shooting/chono range at 50m. New air system. The game zone will be rebuilt: Multi level fort. @Herrgh I know you said no LPVO … but something like a Vortex crossfire 1-4x24 would look great ( maybe spray the mount/mounts olive ) , these arent much more money really than a top end ACOG replica (uk price) and you’d have an absolute bulletproof (pun intended) warranty for life too , even if it got shot out they’d replace it . At x1 you can use it both eyes open like a red dot and at x4 gives you that bit more reach like the ACOG would . Also not much bigger than an ACOG , twice the eye relief and you could leave your BUIS in place . just a thought !

That's why I use 300 lumen instead of 1000 on my pistol and never buying flashlights higher than 300 for my primaries. Yes, there is more to it than just lumen but it's not difficult to be a dick regarding flashlights. I had occasions when someone put a strobe on an elevatod platform and your shadow gives away your position even before you peek. I always refrained to shoot other people's equipment on purpose but I was considering it....😎

Luckily our local site asks at each briefing if anyone suffers from photosensitive lights and if anyone has an issue with strobes Cutting springs and heat compressing them down 👍

US-inspired scout-sniper/recce kit is basically (most of) my summer kit and is what I'll be taking to AI500 in a month's time. Can use it in the winter too, but with more layers because I don't do well in the cold! I'm counting down the days for it to get warmer... Guns are a KJW m700 and a Cyma SR-25, both usually set for 1.1J because my local site isn't good for guns with MEDs, but can do DMR/Sniper power on both as well, and a TM HK45 Tactical as a sidearm. The sling is a genuine Magpul MS4 and the m700 is the go-to gun (I love that platform!), but the SR-25 is my ever-reliable AEG backup gun for if the m700 decides not to play ball. In terms of kit I carry, it boils down to: Warrior Assault Systems cargo pack (for BBs, gas, snacks etc.) Warrior Assault Systems chest rig with 3x double m4 mag pouch and an admin pouch (all old and mostly not available now due to newer stuff, but still strong; had that setup for 14 years now) Warrior Assault Systems gunfighter belt with slimline harness and (left to right): - 2x double pistol mag pouch, as I like running 5 pistol mags since I use it a lot - Medium utility pouch - Large general utility pouch (with an army surplus water bottle in it) - Personal radio pouch - Small horizontal utility pouch 8Fields universal drop leg holster (slightly modified so it sits tightly at the top of my leg to allow suppressors to clear the ground and not shake around at all when running) 5x mags (all in the belt kit for the m700, 2 in each small and medium utility pouch, but 3 in the rig and 1 in the small utility pouch for SR-25 because those mags are chonk) Vortex Crossfire HD 1400 Rangefinder in the medium utility pouch Odin speedloader (not pictured) also in the medium utility pouch if I'm running the SR-25 I'll typically wear it with Helikon US woodland trousers with neoprene inserts, a plain black t-shirt, Sprinter Custom Ghillie US woodland boonie hat (it's vented, which is nice in summer) and either a 200x100cm scrim net scarf to drape over myself and my rifle when I get in position, or my uncrafted Stich Profi Chimera hood to help break up silhouette. In terms of what I want to add, I might add a medium horizontal utility pouch and some sort of pouch to hold a pair of binoculars for recce duties to the chest rig, but we'll see how it goes. Will see if I can get snapped by a photographer mid-game one of these days, but my focus on staying hidden means that generally doesn't happen. Maybe at AI500, since I'm taking this setup to that and they usually get 1 or 2 across the weekend of me, but it's usually when I'm not doing much so don't expect any action snaps 🤣

Photosensitive epileptics will thank your local sites for pre-emptively banning that. Although of course now I'm intrigued as to how well the Ali Express ones actually work.

Awesome work! Looking great so far. If you need it, or are interested, there are a ton of additional body mods that can be done to the snow wolf or G&P kits to make them look more like the screen version. Just search "Snow Wolf Pulse Rifle mods" on Thingverse 👍

Both sites are run by the same company and are only a few hundred metres apart. Tower is a relatively small former paintball site with a church, a castle, a village and a bridge area. The safezone is excellent with proper toilets and a good food van. There is also a smaller field with two old buses. Parking is good. Gameplay is usually very good, with new ideas being tried from time to time and lots of opportunities for sneaky play. At the moment, it is probably my favourite site to play at. AP is much, much larger, with a mixture of terrain ranging from quite dense woodland to scrubland, a village, an area with a plane and structures, and the "mortar pits", which is a sort of firebase with defences, pillboxes and vehicles. Some games use the entire site; others use parts of it. The larger games can be quite challenging with lots of small unit fights going on all over the site as patrols from each side encounter each other. Parking is good but the route to the very good safe zone can be a tad muddy in bad weather. Again, the safezone has a good food van and proper toilets. I have never had a bad day there.

I had a really bad day, today. I dropped my friend's baby in front of everyone. in my defense, I did say i was too short to be a pallbearer.

I've only ever bought from DCA once, and that was a cheap part (under a tenner) and I unavailable anywhere else in the UK. It arrived quickly with no issues so I can't really fault them. However, what puts me off shopping there is the way he acts on social media. Childish replies to anything even slightly negative comments makes me wonder how bad the customer service would be if something goes wrong so I'll go elsewhere if I can

There will not be another "release date"as such it's just another production run. They are expected back into UK stock in the next couple of weeks depending on shipment clearance etc
