  1. You local field will usually have someone there who is good at trouble shooting for you. It could be a simple fix but until you get someone to look at it, you won't know.
  2. The KWA MP9. It's only a little bit bigger than a pistol and they are about £200. However, the mags run about £50 each.
  3. I just use an Altoids mint tin with tissue paper to stop the rattle
  4. I have a Gen 3 416A5 and it has a NPAS fitted. The one ones for the Asian market didn't have. Unless I have been conned and was given a Gen 2 instead? Either way, mine is brilliant and is the best gun I own. I just run mine stock and give it a good clean between games.
  5. What is practicle shooting? Ive seen those vids of people running round courses and shooting targets that would appear to very impractical have nothing to do with anything you would encounter in real life, i.e someone trying to actively kill you. Im not saying its not fun like.
  6. I run few GBB's As mentioned before my MP9 has a low power bolt fitted so never runs hot. My VFC 416A5 came with a factory fitted NPAS, adjusting it involves taking the bolt out and using a small allen key down the nozzle to adjust it. It's quite a simple process due to how easy and quickly an AR style rifle can be broken down. My WE39 has an NPAS fitted (paid extra to have it fitted by the shop) which is more of a pain as you have to break the rifle down to get the bolt out, then you need use a small screw driver to stop the NPAS from spinning while using a tool to open or close the NPAS. It can take a while to do this proceedure. However much a pain in the arse it is, you need and NPAS to run a GBB through out the year. If it's warm, my G39 can easily run over 450 fps if I dont take the time to adjust the NPAS. The other thing you can do is use different powered gas depending on the ambient temperatures.
  7. I have a pair of the Addida Terrex. Personally I find them very comfortable and don't have any issues with my feet after a day running about the woods with them. They are nice and light and reasonably flexable. I dont use any additional insoles in them, but there is space in them if you wanna add some.
  8. I have cammo'ed up my gun with the liberal use of Jack Pike tape and fake leaves. It's very brown out there at the moment so it should blend in with the environment.
  9. I run a Dye I4 and have only ever had it fog up once in all the years I have been using it. It was on a warmish but extremely humid and wet day when I was running round like a maniac. I solved that issue with a bit of anti fog spray. However, they are little bulky which means that I can struggle lookinng down the sights of some rifs I use (I can't see through the built in scope of my Aug A1 for example). Other rifs are fine (No problems using sights of my Famas) if I use a ris rail mount that raises the hight of any red dots I use. But otherwise, they offer great protection which cover your mouth and ears.
  10. I will be having some fun gettting it cammo'ed up. I've got various bits of cammo tape, scrim and fake leave to attach to it to get it looking good. Then I will have to actually get off my arse and get some games in.
  11. I'd be really cheesed off if it was. I hate putting shelves up.
  12. Just throwing in my two penneth to add to your confusion I have had a G&G top tech MP5A4 for years and can't fault it. Plenty of vids of them in action online. Doesn't seem to be many on sale though
  13. This looks so good, but at over £800 I will have to give it a miss. You will need at lease 6 mags to be competative in game and they will cost a small fortune too. I will hang on to see if the KWA F90 is any good before saving up for another GBB. And there is that VFC MP7 I havent got round to buying yet.
  14. 320fps with .3g bbs? Isn't that way too hot for most sights or were you using it as a DMR? Looks like you need a bit of thread lock on that screw. Although i dont know how you are gonna get it back in.
  15. Liverpool Comic Con next year does allow airsoft guns for cos play as long as they have a bright yellow tip on them. I might go as a 50 year old ruined John Matrix.
  16. I run a VisionKing LPVO like McSpoons, and just like McSpoons, I find around x2~3 zoom works just fine. Its a decent scope for the money The VisionKing is also illuminated so you can sort of run it like a red dot of you want.
  17. Hello Jim, I have a Gen 3 version and its brilliant. To answer some of your questions; No, the bolt carrier is not steel. There is a very small square bit of steel where the bolt engages the bolt catch when the mag runs empty. However, although it's not steel, I cant see the bolt carrier cracking or breaking unless you hit it with a hammer. I have no idea if a steel bolt carrier is better. I would imagine that it would be a bit heavier and affect gas efficiency. I am sure the bolt carriers with fit both gen 2 and 3 as there is very little difference between the two. The gen 3 has slightly better internals that makes it a bit more reliable and solves the intermitant issue of the bolt not always locking back when the mag is empty. Mine locks back every time (as long as there is enough gas in the mags) All the internals on the Gen 3 seems to be steel. The Gen 3 does come with an adjustable npas. You need a small allen key and its a bit fiddly but I have had mine running from 280fps to over 350fps (on 0.2g bbs). I think the asian version might have an insert in the nozzel to prevent it firing too hot, but the Uk version is fully adjustable. Hope this helps.
  18. Ive been running .3g bbs in mine with no issues, I get decent range and accuracy with them. I have just been using bog standard nuprol green gas in mine and have the npas set at around 320fps with .2g bbs. I've not used mine in the winter yet so it will be interesting to see how well it runs with green gas. I might try red/black gas if its started to struggle. I normally give every thing a good clean every few game days and use lithium grease on the bolt. I always have a quick look at any screws or nuts to see if they need tightening as the recoil of the rifle is pretty firm.
