I've figured it out, he's been kidnapped by Airsofters lol, no one else would bastardize their gnus like that🤣

  2. If you look at where the adjusters are it looks like it's the outer cover that's wonky. Sight itself seems to be sat properly.

  3. It's a bipod being sold for airsoft, it's worth about £20 for all the use that anyone will actually make of it.

  6. E&L Gen 2 Platinum AK74. This has never been used. Bought brand new 2 years ago and has never left the house. Installed is a 5KU PT3 with the separately purchased upgraded hardened steel stock adapter. Also installed is a VS24 lower Handguard. Otherwise it is stock Platinum internals (Much more superior to the current E&L essentials line) Neodymium High torque motor, one piece Cylinder and Cylinder head air seal etc True blue steel receiver, comes with the original box, original triangle stock and plastic lower Handguard. Two high cap mags included. FPS is 335. Stock shimming sounds pretty good. No idea how much it's worth. This is the last of my vast collection that I am selling off (Finally down to 8 rifles from 32!) Only getting rid of it as I committed to 7.62 AK's 🙂

  7. Certainly look less wonky in the more recent photos. Ultimately, at least in the case of the real one, the hood/shroud is considered a ‘sacrificial’ part there to protect the expensive bit from bumps and drops. As long as the sight itself sits correct that’s the main concern. Finger are crossed for you that it can withstand the rigours of a GBBR. I know it got largely lost in the weeds of an ongoing parallax discussion, but holding zero and the electronics not playing silly buggers is going to be the main test when used on a GBBR.

  8. Yeah, in the bottom pic it looks a lot better.

  9. No damage, but it loads fine if I take off the flared magwell or the bottoms of the mags. Guess I'll have to file down the bottoms of the mags.

  14. That seems to have an impressively clear lens for a clone Eotech.

  15. Thanks for pointing that out... I'm not enough of an Eotech afficionado to think it was anything else than "how it's supposed to be", I guess. I loosened off the torx screws and fiddled the hood into better alignment (maybe half a mil), and re-tightened them. I think it's looking much straighter. I also checked the overall aligment from the front, it looks correctly centred (the ADS pic was taken with no great consideration to lining it up nicely, so that may have been misleading) I'm off to play footy but I'll take a pic or two later so you can all give me an unbiased opinion on whether it's ok now.

  16. If you do get a sight protector from RDE, you'll struggle to get it in place without encouraging the hood to stand at attention

    Lambda/DCA GPMG

every day, i regret not getting the trigger happy version for £450 a few years ago. But £2500 is just silly. Edit: Also, reports that the Lambda mk48 was a massive POS for the price. "Unfortunately, I can't recommend that anyone buy one of these unless you want a really expensive wall-hanger: the internals are absolute hot GARBAGE for the price, basically being bog-standard CA internals smothered with grease. And it comes with that most disappointing of design choices; a proprietary hop unit. I've tried both the Bullgear M249 and PKM hop units, and neither of them quite fit as the standard hop incorporates design elements from both of them, seemingly just to be awkward. And it goes without saying that the hop that comes with the MK48 is the cheapest, nastiest, and shittiest hop I've had the displeasure of trying to use for many, many years. Suffice to say, I'll be looking to sell mine on at a hefty loss."

  18. Aye, hood looks super on't wonk. Makes the whole thing look like it's leaning backward, curious to see how it looks from the other side, give the 3 cut outs for the control buttons and the pair of torx screws on the other side I'd like to think it's damn near impossible for the to be wonky. Looking at the second photo the hood definitely looks higher at what would be the front right as you're looking through it. Edit: Not intending to rail on your purchase, just want to make sure you're getting a product you're happy with.

  19. Here's the Sotac... Basically the sight is really nice made, the buttons work well, the quick release mount was easy to adjust to get a solid fit. As you can see the reticle has the additional aiming marks, which makes it a nice change from all the plain red dot sights I have. It seems to go quite bright. At the low end there's a big jump from 'indoor dim' to 'very dim' on the last adjustment step. I presume that's for NV mode. The NV button makes the reticle green. It might do clever stuff with the brightness too, but I don't need that, so haven't checked the instructions The glass isn't strongly tinted or distorted, but I can see there is distortion of the reticle when viewing off-centre so it's in the top corners of the sight. Is it enough to make me send it back and spring the extra ~£60? I don't think so but I'll sleep on that.

  20. My Sotac EXPS3 sight has turned up turned up (late... the shop owner was on hols, and then Snail Mail lived up to its name too, it was sent on Friday) £55 from eBay. Maybe I'll do a mini-review it in the thread where I asked which one to buy (and then bought this in a hurry), but the TL;DR version is the attractive reticle is nice and bright - but the brightness adjusters work in very fine increments (too fine?), the whole thing feels well built, the quick-release mount is good, and parallax is perfectly alright (i.e. horrible at absolute point-blank, a very few centimetres at 6-7m (more vertical than horizontal), and unnoticeable to my decrepit eyes at 15m+) I also bought a Red Dot Engineering sight protector... that will take a tiny bit of filing / Dremel work too fit, because it's too tight a fit, and there needs to be some relief around the battery cap retainer wire.

    Old School AEGs

I do love the Den Trinity website. Only slightly more functional than the Guys N Guns 2 site. Now, they were the best lads back in the day.

    Old School AEGs

I try not to, because customs sometimes likes to confiscate your package. Otherwise, it's not too bad; my friend bought a TM LCP II with two spare mags which came in at about the same price as buying one here without the spare mags, even after customs charges. Parts on the other hand... I've never paid customs charges on any small bits and pieces I've bought from any HK retailer I've dealt with (WGC, Tiger111, KHMountain) as they were all marked as gifts. Good to have such generous friends in HK

    THE TM MWS thread

I’ve only ever used stock TM or HAO (specifically the 11.5” for the HAO) outers so they’re the only ones I could personally vouch for. A google of ‘MWS 10.5 barrel’ will present you with plenty of options, most if not all will be outside of the UK (something to get used to with the MWS as you change out more parts, not a problem at all, just a note). If I’ve ever been after an outer barrel for an MWS I tend to put up a wanted post in the classifieds and haven’t generally had to wait long for someone to get in touch that has one available, YMMV. As for the front sight post (FSP) they’re very easy to remove, two pins on the sides need knocking through and a small grub screw on the underside, but you’ll need to be changing out your rail/handguard if that’s the route you want to take because as it stands the FSP is keeping your handguard together. Last but not least, my grip vote goes to the BCM Gunfighter, though they seem to be a pain to find at the moment. Or at least were the last time I looked.

  24. I don't know why but I just don't get along with AEGs traditionally lol. I've always felt more comfortable with mechanical systems over electrical and kind of came into airsoft with more knowledge on real gun function than batteries and gearboxes and stuff. My backup (besides a GBB pistol, which I've also used alone from time to time either 'cause I felt like it or my primary failed) is a springer trishot shotgun, which before I had an MWS was literally my primary. I guess I just like making my own life difficult 🤣 people were always surprised I could be effective and on par with the regular AEG users when running that thing. I'm also poor AF so that trishot, a worse trishot, the MWS, and a TM P226 are all I own. Probably could have got multiple cheaper guns instead of an MWS, but god damnit I wanted an MWS. 😅

  28. I never really throw them a great distance (usually just to clear rooms/buildings) The story of the fire. I was pinned down behind a fall tree and some shrubs, wriggling around until, eventually a bb broke through the cover and I got hit. Stood up army raised and bang, ouch and a burn sensation thought I had just taken a stinger to the side of the belly or caught the after shock of a flash bang. I was wrong. Apparently the pin on my bfg had snagged in thrle shrubs and as I stood up it had been pulled just enough to release the spoon on the grenade without completely pulling clear. The bang was a nice 9mm round going off. The sting and burn was the flash of the round exiting the grenade, burning through my Leo kholer atacs ix ubacs which apparently isn't fire resistant, then setting a section of my under armour base layer to thermo nuclear and melting it. The burn which on my side had various bits of said base layer in it and it took a good few weeks to heal up. Ofcourse my mates were sympathetic and decided i had gone full suicide bomber on them. Oh and yes I carried on playing the rest of the day and chick's dig scars right......right?

    THE TM MWS thread

Meantime than new parts arrives I have some pictures of my mk12 project: Mk12 kit with M16 stock and M3 scope looked so oldschool good: Harris style bipod, OPS silencer and KAC front sight I was so satisfied with result... But fell in love with some more compact scope and more tactical setup... I love that Grimlock gen II scope. Its usable for real .223 too.
