  1. Misinformation ahoy! You're mistaking a site/sites for failing to regulate joule creep and instead assuming it's malicious intent on the players part. Hanlon's razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. I can't be bothered going over the rest of it, the chip on your shoulder is too heavy for me to lift off. Just consider that your perspective is tainting all of your opinions, and these fabled other players perhaps aren't the only one that could do with adjusting their attitude. In the meantime enjoy wallowing in your victim complex, because it's thoroughly entertaining to read the no doubt embellished escapades.

  2. Entirely possible, with it being cerakoted I imagine the paint has a lot to do with variance in how tight thing are/aren't. Very impressed by the kit on the whole, just waiting on a can to arrive from HK to finish it. Did end up opting for the Inline Arisaka mount which arrived today. May well swap the sling out for a Trex Arms one, like the look of the AOR1 one but prefer the functionality of the Trex. Will post up some nicer photos once the can has arrived 👌

  3. The rat panels are mesh and do not cover much of the torso, minimising heat build up. Features: ALICE mounting points across the back of the shoulders (A) and front of each shoulder with press stud loop. Alice mounting points in the lower back plus hardware (H) for the trading pack (butt pack). There is a specific version to match the vest. A training pack will also mount across the upper back as well. Two frag grenade pouches (F), one on each lower front of the vest. These will hold a compass or two field dressings. Pockets for six M16 type magazines, most polymer ones should also fit. The upper pockets hold two (2) mags and the lower one (1). All the pockets have press stud and velcro closures. The vest from has two adjustable 25mm buckles and whatever waist belt you attach.

  4. Did you know that AEGs and springers propel the BB the same exact way a HPA engine does? They both use compressed air so technically you should be bitching about those as well, this makes you a hypocrite! Jokes apart, literally everyone is telling you to have a word with refs or gtfo to find another site, and we have done so for a while. Yet you prefer to cry on a forum.

  5. If the site limit is 350fps then HPA is likely to be closer due to the nature of the setup. Just because you (and I as a matter of fact) run AEG's in the 330 range doesn't make the 349.9fps HPA user a cheater. Yeah it's more energy, yeah it's faster and yeah it'll hurt more, but it's still within the rules. If you reckon someone is cheating then that's what the marshals are for, if you do nothing in-game and then complain on a forum nothing will happen to change your issue. I wish my RIF was accurate enough to specifically target fingers or any particular part of another player. Generally I'm slinging BB's in their general direction on the off chance one of them will hit 😂 If you play this game there is a high likelihood of some very close combat, hell I play CQB most of the time and often look like I've a case of measles the following day! Some of the shots hurt like f**k but that's what you're signing up for when you go on a game day. Last game day I needed cleaning up after a shot broke the skin on my forehead (no complaints from me, didn't even realise till I got some odd looks in the safe zone) and I've even had to get an out of warranty replacement on my watch after I stupidly forgot to take it off and it got smashed by a BB - think it was a pistol that time. HPA has a bad rep as it's easier to cheat, but that's not the systems fault, it's the users and the marshals. If all else fails, play somewhere else.

  6. DSG builds beg to differ. Guy who worked on my SR-25 brought his DSG build down to Worthing last month (with no intention of using it in game) because he knew the marshalls would see the funny side of it. You can definitely make AEGs go brrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttttt. At that rate of fire, it's usually the mags that become the failing point as they just can't keep up. I also don't buy into the "high ROF = will win", but then again I run bolt actions and "DMRs" so I never have high ROF Also in terms of power difference, if they're cheating then they're cheating. I could just as easily show up to chrono with my SR-25 which I've kept as an AEG, pass chrono and then go off and change the spring over because it has a quick change spring and slap in a massive one that takes it way over the limit. Also I could take my gas guns to chrono on 144a with .2s, then go away and slap black gas and .48s in all my mags to bring them to something ludicrous like 4J. Couldn't do it with my blowbacks because they'd explode, but m700 and mk23 are both NBBs and my clone mk23 magazines will take high power gas without dying like my TM ones would. It's not the system, it's the players and the staff.

  8. This is completely true. Even If I had a super accurate laser gun with sites 100% dialled it I think most of the time I pull the trigger first rather than lining up my shot to deliberately aim at someone's hands. Whenever I get sot somewhere particularly painful that is what I attribute it to with who ever shot me. I doubt they spent ages lining up their shot with malice to shoot me right on the knuckle, it probably just happened to be what ended up getting hit as they shot at me as a whole.

  9. The TLBV was issued in woodland camo 😎 , black for police units and to Michael Biehn when he was in charge of Seal team 6. Yes I cropped out Charlie Sheen. Desert versions, like ALICE, turn up. But unlike ALICE I’m not 100% sure it was actually on general issue. There is a 40mm grenadier version too. In use the TLBV replaces the ALICE Y suspenders and also solves some of the problems with it. The shoulders are generously padded and the lower edge of the vest has multiple belt loops so supports the pistol belt very well. The TLBV has a massive range of adjustment and integrates pretty well with the PASGT vest and IBA.

  10. DSG cycles just as fast if not faster than an hpa. Outdoor just easier to abuse joules because distance and foliage and most of the guys look the same regarding gear. If it hurts that much as you said that's probably not following MED or some cunty behavor like swapping springs, changing BB weight, using heavier gas after chrono. Some people just have main character syndrome and their ego is too big or just sadist by nature. Personally I would report it to a marshall if nothing happens they are not gonna see me ever again on that site. Your whole body is fair play, as long as someone doesn't aim for head/groin on purpose like a very famous british gentleman from youtube.

  11. The only way HPA hurts more than an aeg, bbs (assuming they're the same weight etc) travel faster, the BBS do more damage etc is if the joules of that rif is higher than the aeg players. If the hpa player has changed their joule setting after chrono it's because they are a cunt. If the site refuse to deal with cunts ....why do you want to play there? Why attend a site/give them your cash and time that has pandering to cunts as it's business model? Why take your child to a site that doesn't deal with players that break health and safety rules that could risk your child's eye sight? An AEG with the same joules and same weight bb will do the same thing as hpa. Hpa can be tuned to firing very fast, I have seen aegs that have been tuned to fire very fast, generally this is just down to the person behind the system but yes, hpa makes it easier for cunts to cunt. My AEG clocks in around 340 fps with a .2, which is just under the 345 limit of the skirmish site I attend. Typically I use gbbr (and the fps is very gas dependent) and I get as many kills etc as when I use an AEG, yet I have far fewer BBS, so I don't buy the whole faster rate of fire/mass of suppression will always win. Though it can have an impact. As for where on the body you can and should be shot simply put you have to expect to be shot anywhere, hands, groin, face etc and wear ppe as per your comfort levels. I've aimed at players chests 15 meters away (or so) and ended up getting them in the face, there are many factors that can impact how accurate a bb is you can't get upset about hand shots etc. It's part of the sport.

  17. i started alone too, used to drive passed an airsoft event sign all the time and i decided to give it a try. im now in the moorlands too, depending where you are in the stretched out moorlands id suggest looking at anzio, a good site and although its changes over time can be seen it still an enjoyable site with a mix of wooded/ greenery and buildings to clamber through. if you end up that way im always happy to meet new faces, most of which are younger than me.

  18. in your most recent post you seemed pretty confident it was one specific person, so not hard to point out? i know the feeling, but the message you're giving the site currently is "don't worry about mr airsniper complaining about certain players, he'll grumble and moan on the internet and be back with a fresh set of green fee's next week" yes it does, which is why the unfortunate truth is that whilst some venues might be able to maintain a better average, even an otherwise good site can be ruined by a couple of cunts picking that place on that weekend to show up and ruin everyone else's fun. unfortunately, the human race's infinite ability to generate arseholes means this is a problem that airsoft will never be able to rid itself of. end of the day this is a hobby played for fun, to enjoy ourselves, and if it's not possible to maintain enough good times to overrule the bad then why keep doing it? why expend the time, money and effort to keep doing something that's just making you angry and frustrated?

  19. Hi and welcome 🙂 So you played when you were younger? And now you are older and wiser you want to start again. To be honest you have given yourself the best advice. Just go 👍 It sounds like you are not a complete beginner so you know your way around a gun which is good🙂 People will know if you are new to their local site and a quick 'hi bud nice gat' will soon get you talking and from there you can ask what the setup is, what type of games are played and where is the coffee station. Lol. There was a new chap at my local site last week who happened to be setting up next to me. it was his first time there. We soon got talking and we teamed up and played the day together. So yeah follow your own advice and do it.You know it makes sense lol. Good luck, enjoy and call ya hits 👍 Regards

    GHK gbbrs

I got my ghk m4 by accident in a bundle, it’s circa 2017-2018 and works a charm Ive never been fortunate enough to compare it to anyone else’s, as I have never seen another one here in Scotland The standard hop unit is next to useless Then when you upgrade, you need to run .36’s or close to it so as your upgraded hop, won’t overhop 😂 A 1J nozzle will still fire too hot over the Chrono on a nice day on green gas, so then you need to fit an NPAS system (I’ve done this but yet to Chrono/ field it) Mags are nigh on impossible to find, and are eye wateringly expensive if you do (like around £70 new per mag) Used mags exchange for around the £40-£45 mark Feedlips on the mags have a tendency to split if you look at them in the wrong direction, so then you need to get aluminium aftermarket ones, around £20 for a set for 1 magazine Not much of a difference between Mk1 & Mk2 variants of the gun (Mk2 has a magnetic bolt lock & smoother finish to the bcg over the Mk1 Its a love hate relationship A bit like domestic abuse I imagine I love mine 😂

  22. I have a TLBV-E in my collection of manky old kit. While the mag pouches will fit two STANAG mags, most PMAG types are so snug as to make it almost pointless plus the baseplates effectively prevent any double stacking in the top two pouches (same goes for STANAGs with Magpuls). The cord locks on the stringy side pieces are also about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and break quite easily (spares can be found in the dark recesses of ebay if you look carefully though). Highly advise either tying the cords in a knot under the lock or taping them up.

  23. ALICE goes high speed with: the Tactical Load Bearing Vest (Enhanced) not only TACTICAL but also ENHANCED! 🤩🥳 Technically not ALICE but IIFS. Although this and the associated training pack were designed to integrate with it. Prior to the TLBV(E) the was the non-enhanced Tactical load bearing vest. It had vertically orientated magazine pockets. It is therefore less cool, even the model looks disappointed. 😥

  24. Thanks chaps. That video you linked @Panama is why I agreed the HW was the best, it's a useful resource. @Krisz thanks, I found the HW shop again. I think I'd seen it before but discounted it as the initial view of the sight on the front page shows it for $10 - but turns out that's just for a sticker! A closer look at the product page, and the confusing morass of options I can see is for the site with different Eotech logos. Now I'm understand what I want and what I'm looking for, the price of £113 inc shipping does become more of a sensible proposition, if the £55 sight I've bought disappoints me. I'll look out for lens distortion on the Sotac, and if it's something I won't stop noticing I'll send it back under the returns policy, and spring for the HW S1. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001473704252.html Edit: Absolutely bloomin' typical, someone puts the Sotac sight up on the classifieds for £35, but it's too late to cancel my order and get that instead 😭

  25. It's broken down here if you care to read through, some couriers will also add their own fee for 'processing' if memory serves correctly but that seems to have no real rhyme of reason to it (I recall UPS feeling particularly steep in that regard). Whenever I order from overseas I assume I'm going to get hit by the applicable additional fees. Purely anecdotally I don't think I've had to pay any additional fees on anything I've ordered since COVID, but don't take that as me saying you'll be fine go for it. Also depends how honest the seller is on their declaration, in this instance RW were entirely honest on the value of goods on the form. It's always a gamble, if I'd got hit on this particular parcel it would have cost me somewhere between an extra £150-£180. But this was for something I could only find from HK sellers so it was accpt the costs or simply don't have it at all, in my head that additional cash was already spent so I very much got lucky.

  26. So, in case anyone else has this issue at any point, I'll explain what the issue/s was. 1. Short troking and precocking without adjusting the tappet timing. Nozzle was coming forward just after the piston. Big loss of fps there. 2. Shagged bucking. Speaks for itself. 3. Crap mags. I kept getting anything from 160fps to 330 with the wind up mags I have that don't fit great but usually still feed. I switched to a poly midcap that fit better, and I went back up to a relatively consistent 343-345. Thank you again everyone for your help, now I can focus on starting a dmr build 🤣

  27. If the players at the site you play at are breaking rules, then your first port of call is to report them to the marshalling staff. If the staff cant/wont do anything about it then vote with your wallet, show them that their failure directly results in loss of customers and revenue. Go somewhere else. If none of the sites you can travel to are able to provide a decent game then maybe it's time to consider other hobbies.

  28. HPA is regulated by air pressure which is set by the owner. Both the owner and field marshalls have to be sure you don't go above site limits, MED is followed, etc. Being a cunt is just easier on HPA, because you chrono whatever you want to and then later on you change your PSI, voila, easy joule creep... I play only indoor right now as an HPA player, never had issues but my pistol only shoots 300 FPS on 100 PSI. You should try indoor for a change. Maximum 350 FPS and semi only makes a huge difference. You have got a lot of a valid points though. A met a few guys since last February who didn't take hits or tried to bend rules or just overkilled in general. But regular people are always sound.

  31. Some sites do apply weapon rules, the gaol (for example) do a week day game with gbbrs, pistols and shotguns only. I've noticed lots of HPA on my last few games but I haven't noticed a change in player behaviour thankfully, so I'd recommend trying new sites. Based on your recent posts either all HPA players are twats or I'd suggest you actually need a better site that addresses players with problem behaviours. I remember people talking about systema owners and changing the power settings, quick change springs etc after chrono and while it's possible, in 11 years I don't think I've seen a single case of that.

  33. Bianchi brand double pistol mag pouch. Usually seen on military security and police belt kit. There are double (shown) and quad mag versions. The Lower stud accommodates single stack mags. It has a plastic insert so protects mags better than the standard ALICE version which is just fabric.

  34. M12 holster, aka the suicide holster. They were made by quite a few firms, Bianchi and Cathy being two. ”Suicide holster” allegedly comes from the awkward draw and people pulling the holster off with the gun under pressure. 🤨 It’s sized for the M9 and usually fit 1911’s and Glocks too. The draw technique is different to high speed holsters but gives good protection to the pistol. The holster is ambidextrous and uses a specific quick belt mount. This is also used on the Bianchi M1025/1030 pistol mag pouch. There are thumb break kits, drop leg adapters and shoulder/tanker fittings available. With the accessories and ability to hold a lot of different pistols it almost lives up to being the “Universal holster”. Are we having fun yet?

  35. Small arms magazine pouches for 3x M16 30rd magazines. Like most of the ALICE pouches they are held in place by two Alice clips that go through slots (A) on the back. In addition the mag pouch has a tab (T) and eyelet to clip the harness strap onto for support. Loops (G) with securing straps are to hold grenades. This pouch has damage (D) to the lid. I repaired/altered it on the inside as it’s actually my IFAK pouch. The pouch is reinforced with plastic and a pair of thin strips inside to separate magazines. It’s pretty common to find the mag dividers cut or removed on surplus pouches. Sometimes the grenade loops too. The Alice pouch lid fasteners have a bit of a reputation for fragility. There are a heck of is lot of these pouches still knocking around with intact clips however. There are some similar mag pouches including the Lincloe issued the the USMC in Vietnam.

  36. There are many varieties of pistol belt issued with the ALICE system. They are sized but have quite a bit of adjustment. Initially the buckle from the M1956 pistol belt was used (LC1) Then the quick release buckle. The press in (LC2) release buckle fades to a very pale grey over time. The fasted buckle is the later standard and the one usually seen with the TLVB What is common is that Alice belts have two rows of eyelets, with the lower ones to hang the old M1910 fittings. The adjustment retainers vary and the quick release and fastex buckles have extenders available to go over body armour or cloth weather kit.
