  1. One chance because if they didn't test it and gave you back a fucked gun then they are useless. Too many people call themselves techs and are really nothing more than monkeys with an allen key who got all their experience from watching youtube. To be honest most people in airsoft who call themselves techs are actually just the equivalent of me folding up a bit of paper into an aeroplane shape chucking it 3ft across the living room and proclaiming I am a pilot.

  2. LOL, they're definitely taking their hits, it's their bosses that are denying them 🤣

  3. I guarantee they're running hot and not taking their hits.

  5. Its only fair that you give them the chance to rectify it and its a good sign if they'll do it with no extra fees. But definitely test it before you leave 😉

  6. This depends on a few things; Did they test the gun at all? - If so, did they test it with YOUR battery/mags? or equivalent to what you'd be using? Did they charge you for the do-over(s)? - I would allow some leniency of error, but the fact it was a complete dud? after 2 attempts of sorting it? nah If they've agreed to sort it for free, (maybe a small good-will refund to cover travel expenses?), to clear their name? Sure. However, at a certain point, it becomes evident that -just maybe- they don't know what they're doing Maybe they're just not good at DMR builds?

  7. Think they were called gr20 though there were several versions. Not sure who made them but Thomas lowe defence seems to make them, though I suspect these were clones of the TLD version. They were popular, but expensive and charges hard to get. Very cool, but not that practical (you only need to be grenaded once to die in Airsoft). The flying spoon, pins going missing, cost and the ever increasingly hard to get charges is what's caused their demise. They were super loud, not sure many skirmish sites would allow them. The charges worked by a primer lighting the charge and then the charge fuse acting as a delay for the charges.

  8. https://www.facebook.com/groups/659916730874713/ Is this the group? Admittedly new to the adult world but surely bad mouthing a company / person saying they're criminal but refusing to elaborate doesn't exactly help? Maybe its because I've got more skin in the game given the purchases, but if you wouldnt touch them with a barge pole surely its reason enough to say why... --- Edit --- Had a look around online and found what it is I expect you were referring to about one of the directors and now I understand why you didn't want to put it on a public forum. Like I said still learning lol

  10. Yeah, as sated before, it is very expensive, but i think the value for money here is what makes it. You will not find a No4T anywhere near this price. And i don't think we will see another airsoft version like this, at this build quality, and accuracy for some time. A No. 32 MK I Sniper Scope alone, costs almost as much as this Airsoft version, and that's for a reproduction.

  11. Do they not test their work ? If not I think they've used up all their "second" chances, especially given the time & mileage costs you've incurred, which technically you should be able to put a price on given their repeated failings. A courteous phone call, backed up by a courteous but strongly worded letter is your next step, indicating your unhappiness with the events so far, & that it's all now on them to put things right within a reasonable time frame, with no further costs or time wasted by you. Failure to meet your requests should result in possible small claims court proceedings for ALL costs incurred, including your time & travel expenses, as well as a very public name & shame exercise on all appropriate mediums. Its what I'd do, but to be honest I wouldn't have been as patient with them as you've already been, after the first return I'd have torn them a new one.

  12. You mean the tiny bit that's showing through your eye-pro that nobody's gonna spot from any distance that matters? 😂 In the last picture I thought you'd just uploaded one of another bloke entirely by accident.

  13. My mags and ammo. Will give them the battery as well just to make sure No additional charges for labour. Part X they did charge for as it was on the way out, but not the 2nd, better quality Part X. The reason I'm willing to give them a bit more leniency is they do have a very good rep and I've seen examples of their work, so willing to give the benefit of doubt on this final change. They have agreed to do a ground up rebuild to solve it once and for all.

  14. If they had done all 4 tyres, i would rate them. But with the 2 tyres I am giving them the chance to rectify it - maybe I'm too nice and forgiving. We know airsoft isn't an exact science after all, but just wanted to gauge how other people would react to the situation. And obliviously people make mistake - go on reddit and you will see how wrong people get stuff sometimes.

  16. That's a bit like saying you put your car in for 4 new tyres, but when you got home you find only the front tyres are new, the back tyres they replaced with barely legal part-worns, but still charged full price. You wouldn't rate them on getting half the job right surely 🤔

  17. If you go back they'll have to refund a certain amount for your time and trouble but I can't believe you didn't test it there when you picked it up.

  19. Always happy to help out. I've met some great players in the Eversley Filmsim games who are a very friendly bunch. The Nam and Cold War games have such a great atmosphere, with the effort put in by all sides making them extra special. Saying that though I played there this Saturday with some of the regulars for normal Filmsim (Hunger Games) and had one of the best days I've had in months. A great turnout, sensible marshalling (hit taking was really, really good) and some epic game play, my favourite being the group of three Red Team players that hid for 30+ minutes with an ammo tin whilst being hunted down by the Yellow Team. It was escape and evasion as an art and their patience in working their way back to base through a swamp and heavy terrain was admirable. As a Red Team player on the day, I also need to award top marks to a slightly lost Blue player who stumbled into a firefight between Red and Yellow and wiped out our position, before fortunately the Yellow Team took him out. The Yellow players who moved up afterwards seemed to be struggling to understand how two different teams all ended up dead in the same spot.

  21. I am squad lead for the NVA at this one. NATO are sold out and the Warsaw Pact are on the Defensive. Can you say 'Reinhardt dig in the PKM Genossen?' You should come mate. There is always the Saturday only option.......

  22. There is an ANZAC v VC game in May. You would fit right in mate! There are a few who run as a separate ANZAC unit at some regular games too. If you were the only Aussie there, I'm sure some role could be improvised, but best clear it with the organisers to be polite. Join the UK Namsoft FB group and you'll get the events advertised well in advance. Nope. I have about three East German and two Rusfor kits and nowhere to go at the mo. My last full weekend game will be next weekend and then I'm back to filmsim days up the road. Although by the time I finished writing that sentence I'm bloody tempted...

  30. Unfortunately, my plans got side swiped on the way down, so had to hurry back for a work thing and just made it by the skin of my teeth As mentioned, they did a bang up job on my other rif, and if that had been my only experience i'd be rating them 10/10 and telling everyone about them.
