  2. Ahh yes, the ol' jg earwax "grease" Sounds like the selector teeth jumped a couple of positions on reassembly, the joys of getting a v3 box into a reciever. Best method is to lie it on its side so gravity hopefully holds it in place for you. Whilst i realise it's a contraversial opinion, i'm really not a fan of the prommy purple, it's ok as "standard" rubbers go but not anything special imo. If you're running a unit as good as the cu then i'd be strongly suggesting the maple leaf macaron+omega nub combo, that'll have no trouble lifting the heavies.

  4. The palette is fine for a modern pattern, but you're definitely on one if you think the Notritsch company can magically make a better camouflage than Pencott or Concamo etc. Combine that with their well known and documented track record of very poor customer service... I've browsed the site a couple of times, had no idea the product range was actually so large. What actually happened of course is they were working with Templars Gear in some form or another, took the designs and ran off with them to factories in China, probably not the ones that treat workers maybe half way acceptably either I'd wager. I don't know if anyone else remembers, but when Kryptek was in its' heyday many years ago TMC et al made knock off G3 sets in approximations of Mandrake, Highlander and Typhon and they sold like hot cakes for a minute as they combined the hype camo of the day with the popular combat cut. I'd see folks wearing them still a while later, except they were all grey looking having faded terribly after a few uses+washes. The looks of the Nov apparel offered all very much remind of the same sets and some reports I've seen line up with that.

  6. The ones i used were sprung one direction against the adjustment screw, so you could bump them and they's sorta stick in a different position. Not too hard to push it back against the stops and it'd be close enough for airsoft work but that usually happens after you've missed and the other guy has tagged you.

  7. Oh it doesnt kill the electrics, just makes the dot turn into an amorphous blob that ye cant aim with. Ofc not a problem if you're playing indoors. I do like the style, although the cheap clone versions havent got the greatest zero holding can easily be knocked off.

  15. Last of the new bits, Spiritus SPUD pouch. Liked the look of them when first announced, initially for popping a 16oz Nalgene in but looks to be really versatile. Could definitely see it getting used for extra mags/speedloaders on longer game days. Certainly not a revolutionary pouch, but well executed as usual.

  23. I use the AKU pilgrims as everyday footwear when I am not wearing a suit. They are great boots, very comfortable, reasonably sturdy and probably ideal for indoor CQB. However, I would not trust them very far over rough or difficult ground. The only thing that a couple of us have found with them is that the insoles seem to be designed for people with supinated (high) arches and can be uncomfortable for those with neutral or hyperpronated arches. However, insoles are easy to change. For light use, I would also recommend looking at the Iturri patrol boots.

  28. That's the ticket(no pun intended) You are learning.lol Years ago when I was into small radio control helicopters i talked the RC shop manager into putting cheaper prices on my boxes so a £50 helio became reduced to £5. I would leave box on table and Mrs shamal would say,"wow! That's a good reduction"to which I would say "yeah at that price I couldn't say no" 🤭 Regards
