So, after realising that my AR pattern RIFs were all slowly becoming the same gun, I have removed the quadrail handguard, and put back in the shorter barrel to get its bark back and now my G&G ARP556 is back to how it should be. I did give it a new paint job though. As it's a mad little thing I thought a slightly different paint job was in order.

I had the same thought. A piston change on an ICS gun can be done in under 10 minutes for £7-8 quid. Perhaps a bit more if you buy an upgrade ICS POM unit. There's more going on there i think.

I also watch a lot of airsoft related content on YT so have a little exposure to what was needed before going to the shop and picking out my beginner gear Picked up some good sturdy boots with good ankle support and some bolle x1000 goggles that I got a good deal on. Also got a full multicam set up purely because I like the look of that camo (despite likely not being ideal for UK sites) so from the gear perspective I think I have all I need for now (although I can already tell this hobby will likely be a money pit for me in the not too distant future) 😅😂

Crazy thing is, it's split gearbox, so really easy to check if it's the piston. The fact he hasn't (or has and that's not what it is) bothered makes me think it's something more. Either way, massively overpriced as it doesn't work.

To add to this, I haven't heard of any legitimate importation of RIFs going as far as needing discussion at a magistrates court, normally when someone with a bit of knowledge within BF confirms the defence (either UKARA or a skirmisher's diary) it's released. If anyone knows of anything that has gone that far however, I'd be interested in hearing more about it!

Thought exactly the same thing, describes it as boneyard but that's definitely not a boneyard price, especially when I've seen them before, fully functional for 20-30 quid more. Definitely a case of "if it's an easy fix, fix it yourself & then your price is justifiable" ? That's the problem. A sizeable proportion of B6s on the market are lesser quality clones and are not made by SkyRC. I would recommend a SkyRC S65 as a simple, reasonably priced AC smart charger. It'll do far more than what most Airsofters actually need.

People who only join to flog stuff serve no purpose to AFUK as a community.
