  4. Well if it's a private conversation don't use a public forum bud. I was simply pointing out that what you said is pretty sad and as posted above SF and even regular don't wear matching camo. Are you going to tell them how do play war?

  5. So I have decided to try my own Kydex project and have jumped in head first making the harder one which is the torched holster and for my first attempt I am reasonably happy with it. Obviously its not finished still need to shape and smooth and channel the torch part but the retention is spot on. There's a slight rattle with the holster but overall it holds it as I wanted it to. http://youtu.be/6S-lk5n6dS8

  6. Still needs few more sections added to lower right, Also I cut a vent panel out the back and I`m wearing a white t-shirt under which is why you can see straight through on the day would have to be Green or black. Also could someone advise on a good cleaning kit for a sniper rifle?

  8. For a sniper, I would suggest the best sidearm is the TM MK23 Socom, purely because it is very quiet and accurate.

  11. Well that entirely depends on which brand of AEG and GBBr. Different mfgs use different spec threads on their uppers.

  13. If you've got a decent length unjamming/cleaning rod (i.e. for your rifle it will ideally need to be about 450mm long), which most airsoft guns come with, then you could simply get a few bits and pieces together, such as white spirit to make sure the inside of your barrel is shiny, and silicone oil to lube stuff up without your rubber and plastic parts falling to bits, but if you want a cheap way to get all that together with all the necessary stuff, then this isn't a bad bet for a tenner and comes with all you need (apart from a cleaning rod): http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft/we-airsoft-maintenance-kit.htm#.VLQX6HtJVhM Avoid cleaning kits for air rifles or real firearms, they are fancy and cool looking, but the phosphor bronze brushes are too harsh for an alloy or brass barrel and the calibre is unlikely to be correct either, since they are intended to remove lead deposits from rifling and unburned propellant. Real firearm cleaning rods also tend to be comprised of brass or steel sections as opposed to being one piece plastic like airsoft ones are, so the joins between segments will scratch an airsoft brass or alloy barrel, your plastic cleaning/unjamming rod is the tool you want for that, with typically a bit of cotton pushed through the loop and some white spirit or similar on the thing to remove gunk, then a clean bit of cotton to remove any residue, since an airsoft barrel should be clinically clean. If your rifle did not come with one, then cleaning rods of sufficient length are cheap to buy (usually less than a fiver). Be sure to take your hop rubber out before ramming a rod down the thing, as the rod could easily damage the hop up, and you also don't want to be getting any silicone oil or other chemicals on the hop either. Don't put craploads of cotton through the rod loop either and force it into your barrel, a tiny bit of cotton is enough to clean it, but make sure it is a long enough piece to stay through the loop or it'll come off and get stuck lol. Note that even if your gun is new, the chances are the barrel could do with a good clean, as they tend to have sh*te on the inside from the manufacturing process, and they can also tarnish if they've been on a warehouse shelf for a while, which does not help with fps or trajectory. You could go mental and really smooth out the inside of your barrel with a lapping kit. Not cheap, but they will certainly clean the bugger good style and then improve consistency between shots owing to how smooth the thing will be, which is fairly important for sniping. You can find lapping kits here: http://www.air-lab.co.uk/products.html Although frankly, if you're gonna go to the trouble and expense of polishing a barrel with a lapping kit, you'd probably be better off doing it to a fancy after market one. Like that suit you made by the way, looks like it would be ideal for being the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon as well as for sniping. Just be thankful you don't have to piss on the ground in front of your rifle like real snipers do before taking a shot, you'd never find your flies lol

  17. TM - short for Tokyo Marui, manufacturer of high quality (and price) airsoft weaponry (among other things) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Marui WE - another manufacturer of airsoft weaponry. Quite a name in the gas blowback market but making significant inroads in the electric market too http://www.weairsoft.com/ DMR - Designated Marksman Rifle basically the weapon of a soldier fulfilling a role partway between sniper and infantryman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_marksman_rifle "they take 100% TM parts" - Tokyo Marui were the first to design a number of parts for airsoft (the hop up unit for example) so many other manufacturers have copied them This means that many airsoft weapons being based on Tokyo Marui designs will take Tokyo Marui parts which can be better than the manufacturers parts as the copies are usually produced to a lower cost. Often a phrase applied to sniper rifles based on the Tokyo Marui VSR10.

    GoPro Newbie, Help!!

GoPro's from 3 and upwards are temperamental little things when it comes to what Mirco SD Card's they like. First rule of thumb is to avoid ALL non-branded cards. Second rule would be to make sure the card you use is a high rating card with plenty of space. Mirco SD cards have little rating numbers on them, 10, I believe, being the better rating, with no number at all the equivalent of a 1 rating. Third, and most important rule of thumb though, is to BITE THE BULLET so to speak, and invest in a card that is supported by GoPro themselves. One of the BIGGEST reasons for lost or corrupt recording is due to Cheap, Bad, Incorrect SD cards. So for you Snakeeyes75, it would be one of the following; I know people like to save a few quid... but you'll be kicking yourself when you lose a full weekends worth of footage (as i have done) across three different cards. It's just not worth chancing someone elses opinion just because they've never had any trouble with a certain card, especially when GoPro model and recording settings all come into play. My first post, and my two cent's from 3 years GoPro-ing experience. Hope this helps!

  21. If you want to get stuff 3D printed without all the tedious faffing about of buying a decent 3D printer, try www.shapeways.com Cheaper than buying your own printer and probably better quality than anything you could do yourself with a cheap printer anyway.

  22. No doubt after some more Tesco-style creative accounting to placate the shareholders, your £2.50 windfall will show up on Tesco's books as profits having increased by approximately 250 million pounds or so.

  28. Is camo not pretty useless in airsoft anyway? No offence here but it's pretty sad pulling someone up about mixing. He might be like me and picks camo based on the pretty colours and how it compliment my figure.

  29. cqb's - they are a bit more trickier/expensive to find/run bit of woodland not too bad, but trying to source a moderate size ground with buildings at a cheap price not so easy to get hold of... yup a number of old warehouse/factories/offices lying around you may think but very often the owner/landlord won't commit or let us lot rent it cheap, shoot it up etc.... They wanna leave it vacant, not commit to a cheapy rental agreement and sell it or knock down to develop My local site has been looking for a replacement after they lost their old school urban site But round here - South London/Surrey is a lot harder to come by - old field/woods in Surrey ok but they have had very little luck getting a possible cqb site going again
