Canik tp9 mag release pin issue
Tackle and one other reacted to mightyjebus for a topic
The clip is part of the pin highlighted in re above. Might be easier finding an LCT than a Canik part. Failing that, buy a split pin and modify it to fit.2 points -
I assume he was a rookie scammer because of his response to being called out for being unrealistic with his pricing and giving limited product info then deflecting to avoid being held to account for the guns he was listing. If he was legitimate, you'd think he'd have some humility to listen to those more knowledgeable than him as he openly said he doesn't know much about airsoft.2 points

Not if I ban him first? When the "selling for a dead xyz" starts getting rolled out, my cynical side gets a prod, & this guys response didn't exactly trigger sympathy.2 points

DE Noveske N4 - One stop shop
Angelvill3 reacted to nathan13n for a topic
Recently got a noveske N4 and absolutely loved it but ran into a few things with the main bits being air seal. So it’s airsoft so I started tinkering to fix some issues to see how we nice we could get this shooting. Initial review out the box it shoots great but on green gas ( vorsk v6) I was only getting 0.8j, the lock back was very intermittent and struggled to hop 0.36g or higher BBs wit the stock bucking rubber. Upgrade 1 - Nozzle and upgrade springs i planned on installing a NPAS so i could have some finer adjustment of the FPS and everywhere flagged the DE nozzle just doesn’t work well. This is where the first upgrade comes into play Guns modified 3.5 nozzle, this was a smooth change over while is was going this I upgrade the nozzle return spring this was entirely needed as the stock DE is strong then the standard TM but has also been flagged as a point of breakage so dropped in a Waldo custom MWS 140% spring. After the upgrade we are now sitting at 0.9j with very little deviation while also helping bb feeding. Upgrade 2 - Bucking & Barrel I think I got one of the earlier guns where the installed barrel was pistol length of around 130mm this is a fast way of keeping the FPS low. So was always going to be upgrade to a full length. Prometheus 250mm barrel was installed with a 4antum bucking. I wasn’t trying to break the bank so went with something that was tried and tested. I use 4antum in some HPA builds and lifts 0.32g and higher easy with great consistency and the Prometheus has also been great bang for buck inner barrels a step up from ZCI but not as high a edgi. After the upgrade we got a huge boost to 1.1j which was great boost but also helped the grouping hugely. Upgrade 3 - Mag fixes On playing a few games the stock mags are not great I struggled on some mags to getting through a full 35 rounds. The best upgrade would be to get TM mags which seal better and have better efficiency out the box. BUT if you have already purchased the DE mags like I had you do have ways to help improve. One the gas routers aren’t great so the best swap is guns modify cold weather router which allow a great deal and work well in cold weather. The mags are also known for leaking and this is where gasket seal is your best friends. I used gasket seal in the top and bottom of the mag seals leaving 24hr to fully dry. While I had the mags apart I also trimmed down the tube inside the magazine to a 1/3 of its sizes which allows more gas into the magazine. after 24 hours and checking the seal I am able to get 2 1/2 reloads before needing to top up gas which is a huge improvement. After upgrade I found the seal and efficiency to be better this also helped push my joules upto 1.2j. Upgrade 4 - ZET plate and Feda Valve After getting the seal, mags and feeding consistent. It was team for the zet plate to help the lock back function and install the npas. I went with the Jaeger precision in stainless steel which is the same as the BavTac one which is in titanium so you can save some money there. It’s really easy to do once you remove the trigger box which is a lot easier than the TM MWS. The Feda valve is a straight replacement and doesn’t really offer a performance upgrade but allows you to adjust FPS to make sure your within site limits. Just to flag as I had already swapped the nozzle to a guns modify it meant this was a smooth insteal of the Feda valve but original DE nozzle are thicker and may need to be glued down to get the NPAS fitted. the zet plate has allowed more consistent lock up once the mag is out of BBs. The NPAS allow me to adjust FPS from 0.8j - 1.4j depending on gas on the fly without doing a full strip down. overall the upgrades have been really nice to help improve the performance which are a lot of the issues the TM MWS also has ( apart from the mags ). On full tilt on green gas it hits 1.2j, red gas pushes it to 1.4j. What makes this great is the entry point of the DE N4 it’s almost half the price. For now I’m really happy with the performance and may look into getting a HPA adapter so will drop a update on this once I tested a few out but absolutely loving the DE a few upgrades and it’s matching a upgraded TM for a fraction of the cost. Upgrade 5 - Airtac MWS/ DE HPA adaptor This took a little bit longer as my first airtac had a leak and really wasn’t sent up for the DE. So it’s not as smooth as a drop in that they claim but the dudes at Airtac were great. Sent my Airtac back and indicated I will be running it in a DE which meant the added a green spacer to help it engage the knocker easier ( this as well as spare lips are included) I still found even after this the fit was very lose which resulted in the FPS being a bit all over the place. Using some plumber tape I was able to shim ( which swap this out for Velcro ) this to sit better. This helped my consistency so much I’m getting constant 282-288 on 95psi which was great for a system which is running on air tank given me great performance all year round ad I struggle with the gas mags in anything below 10degrees. Using HPA you will need to regrease kit bolt and trigger unit more as you don’t have the silicone from the green gas to coat bits. Even with the extra weight of the tank, line being a bit more restrictive the increase in reliability of the feeding, constant FPS is great and you have the great tuning being able to push the adapter all the way to 150psi which gives you a really strong kick and have the npas I can balance it out and get the Js I need.1 point -
Airsoft helped me with weight loss
Jacob Wright reacted to GothicGhost for a topic
,I was around 16 stone few years ago and over the years it been hard to shift the weight, I started running so I when airsoft with my son I could keep up and have fun without dying from exhaustion. So, over this year I have been running more and more, I started out slow from couch to 5K and in June I did my first race for life 10k event its so good getting across the finish line. I can now run the 10k distance without stopping and my current weight dropped to 13.4 stone at age 40 right now. Thanks.1 point -

Special made nozzle meaning proprietary? At which point it joins TNT in the nice try, but no dice pile. Also, that nozzle looks to be metal - there is a reason nobody else other than RATech have done metal nozzles, because they're shit. Chopped BB's and exarcerbated by substantially more cooldown - which especially in the UK doesn't work all that well.1 point -

There were a few things that rang bells, the only thing that was true about him was that he was in Stoke. Mate I agree, but unfortunately some sellers have figured out that they can also use the report button when rules are broken, such as non constructive comments in sales threads. While some might argue that openly outing overpriced kit at source & therefore saving anyone getting ripped off is constructive, we're all free to ask what we want for kit, getting it's another matter. On the plus side, I think this is the only forum I've ever been on in 23+ years that allows any discussion on sellers prices.1 point

Booo!!!! Guy was talking outta his ass anyway. Now, there is a lovely GHK RPK up for sale at £945 which is much more worthy than what this idiot is asking Don't think it was negative to point out where he was wrong1 point -
Sorry mate, I've hidden them, technically negative comments in sales threads are against the rules, I've previously had a warning for it myself, this thread is the place to call out daft prices or crap kit, by all means tag the sellers to come & partake in the discussions, & we can politely rip the shit out of them ?1 point

I wish that were true, but i have mates that seem to love buying absolute shitters found in such a condition. (I may've done it too.)1 point -
We don't know if anything he said was true anyway, he'd been here 5 minutes & had the wrong attitude if he genuinely wanted to sell the kit, the ghillied up so called dmr for example, after all you wouldn't buy a car if you'd only ever seen it covered by a tarpaulin, why should a rifle be any different. Speaks volumes that he ignored all the well meant, if slightly sarcastic?, advice he was given. I'm still not entirely convinced he wasn't an amateur scammer.1 point

You could try contacting kyairsoft. The oem of the canik pistol is armorer works and kyairsoft are the official parts retailer for AW and for WE (kind of the same company). But if it's just a pin then a roll pin may be perfect for the job as Tackle says1 point

What have you made?
Cannonfodder reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Finally started a Crye MR-C build. I've been wanting to make one of these ever since GRAW came out on the Xbox 360 - 3D printing (and affordable design software) is now making happen after being on the back-burner for over a decade. It's just a wall-hanger/prop. Maybe one day I'll make a functional Airsoft gun but I'm not too bothered on that front. Still have a good dozen hours of printing, then numerous more hours of sanding, filling and painting. Stitch bitches should note this takes design elements from the two mock-ups I have found in my searches, and Crye's own low-res 3d renderings (they all differ slightly), along with some small creative liberties taken on my part (i.e trigger and ambi fire selector).1 point -

Shit sales threads which he attempted to justify by claiming selling on behalf of a dead friend, & then abusive when anyone questions it. No place for his lazy shit eating attitude here.1 point -
If I remember correctly, the forum restricted max number of adverts to 10 per member (all types - sales, swaps, wanted). This was to stop retailers, those members who are serious collectors acting like a retailer, and spam. A normal airsofter would not need to have more than 10 adverts active, likely only having a couple of adverts per week. Each advert lasts 7 days, you can see how long it has been running, if all 10 slots are used you have to wait for one to expire before you can create a new one replacing it. There is no need for a timer, the adverts already have one which shows how many days and hours it has left to run. The "group" part does seem superfluous.1 point

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Barry Sayer reacted to MrTea for a topic
Sold all my pistols except the Mk23 and was going to buy a TM 1911 but heard that with the mags being small, they couldn't hold much gas. I started looking for a CO2 version (I also have a lot of bulbs left over from having a CZ Shadow 2) and was going to get a KJW KP-07 but stumbled on the Secutor Rudis 'Acta Non Verba' in this really nice stonewashed gray. A week later I found a TM Goldmatch for a price I simply couldn't turn down. Both shoot really nice and the TM has nice snappy recoil but I'm just wondering how long the plastic slide is going to last.1 point -

Muppetdaze reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
That's a tricky one, as if you luck out and get one from a decent production run at the right OEM, they can be fine, and have reasonable features for the price. But the fact that they change OEMs, QC, and their product lines more than a typical airsofter washes their socks does put a huge question mark over them. I'd say they're still worth a punt at the low end, but they can forget any aspirations of going up-market while they're pulling bait-and-switches.1 point -
