Got this brand new G&G ESG B-10 from malcolm1174. Not sure how he got his hands on it but its in mine's now. As far as I know these guns are still very much in pre order but considering theyre basically a Flak 10 its unsurprising its banned in most places already lol. Gun above is an APS Striker MK3 I bought recently; probably the most practical "shell eject" shotgun out there. I do love my semi auto shotguns haha3 points -

Pistol recommendations
Mr Dellski and 2 others reacted to emilianoksa for a topic
I wasn't keen on hi capas when I started airsoft, but I have come to regard the TM ones as probably the greatest of all airsoft pistols. They have the best trigger of any pistol and are the easiest to disassemble and reassemble. There are not that many internal parts to worry about. Metal slides, outer barrels etc are readily available. The only thing I don't like about them is the grip, but that is easily fixed. I prefer to fit Guarder tactical grips which make the hi capa look more like a regular 1911 and less like a race gun. But if you like the race gun look, you can pick up a Cow Cow grip for not much more than twenty quid, and buy a nice magwell to compliment it. I have had loads of pistols over the years, and I love Glocks, but the hi capa has been the most reliable and the best performing. The FNX 45 was pretty good but I never got used to the look of it. I hope folks evolve to see that this kinda thing is absolutely up there in terms of what makes (or breaks) their games. Once you get on to a field it is soooo obvious which sites have been maintaining structures and features/replacing stuff that's beyond repair vs ones that just let everything rot forever, tape it off and call that good. Obviously this is not a big money industry so in some instances it's unavoidable or understandable, but since the last place I played had a fair few 'bridges' that were falling to bits and not safe I do enjoy seeing this a lot I have to say.2 points -
Warrior Assault Systems: DCS or LCP?
pyromancer6 and one other reacted to Trumpet for a topic
So I tried it out last weekend and am very impressed. Straight away there are features on it that I hadn't realised I was missing like quick release at the sides for taking it on and off, the replaceable front panel for different loadouts, line retention on the shoulders for HPA/hydration. Profile wise, it's actually smaller coverage on the torso that I was using but it feels tonnes lighter when wearing with my mag pouches and backpack for my HPA tank. It has a much better airflow system when wearing thanks to design and materials compared to my previous set up and is a lot more comfortable. I need to try it on a full day outdoor game but overall, I'm really pleased with it. The standard of manufacture is very high, and is something I can see myself using for years to come.2 points -

Don't do it... you obviously don't know what type/style of pew you like, try as many aeg's as you can first or you'll be spending a fortune to only regret the purchase & we'll/I'll end up offering you 60-70% what you paid when it ends up in the classifieds. If that's not the answer you want to hear go onto youtube and watch as many gbbr video's as you can. If you do buy a GBBR, get a Calico, CZ Scorpion, L85A2 or a G3 etc coz I don't have one of these yet.2 points -
Same deal. Pretty much all gas magazines are expensive. Just sort by cheapest on places like Patrolbase, the cheapest GBB M4 is £250 and the mags, which are out of stock, are £50 each and only hold 50 BBs each, so you're going to spend just as much on magazines as you are for the rifle.2 points

I use to run a site shop and the fastest way I found was just to get the buyer to hold different guns , what suits one player another will hate. I have large hands but I love compacts with full size grips ( Xdmc, hi-capa 4.3 , g19 etc ) If you have a main store close or even a site shop pay them a visit and handle all the main models of pistol( don't rack them.. they can get annoyed lol ) find a model you like in the hand and then look for the best brand of it.2 points

We're doing a lot of maintenance right now. More bridges to come, some structures to be torn down and replaced, some repaired, some new ones. Woodland with a few knackered barricades just doesn't cut it. The decking will be gritted and painted, for extra grip. Think skateboard grip tape, on a larger scale. We've had 6 of us jumping down on this one. My welds hold 😉 20240425_150829.mp4 Oh, and I added this today. YARRR!1 point -

It's also the sheer number of potential loadout it would fit. World War 2 Para, Nam Aussie, GWOT Coalition, CIA SAD and Bush war Mercs. Something like a MK2 and MK1 (with a conventional sight) would cover a massive range. Even would make a decent holster filler for a generic Opfor.1 point

Short of changing to a compact solid stock I think you'll be out of luck. I'm assuming you bought the battery that is one single block rather than three separate cells? Could you try and return it for one that will actually fit?1 point

Warrior Assault Systems: DCS or LCP?
Lozart reacted to pyromancer6 for a topic
Awesome to hear - what size did you end up getting if you don't mind me asking? I tried on a friend's DCS last sunday and it was a little snug on me (but he is also much younger and much skinnier than me lol) but that could've just been the way he's adjusted it to himself (medium size) Exactly what my friend I tried it on said - they do sales all the time so just wait. Guess I'm going to have to open another pay in three haha1 point -
Sounds like you've come to the right conclusion, you can scratch your GBB itch at a later date. Cost of entry into the GBB game is eyewatering, a sidearm is a cheaper way in as you use it less and therefore can get away with less mags, but it's certainly not a necessity or a replacement for a rifle. You can prepare yourself for getting a GBB by getting mid-caps, or even lo-caps. I use 100rnd midcaps on my 308 but still have my emergency hi-cap as a last mag. It was actually then that I found that 200 rounds does me just fine in most games, so I bought enough gas mags to cater for that and a bit of extra on top. I see you have an MP5K, how may shots are you using most games? All that said, I love my MK18 and MP7 GBBs!1 point

I'm sure I'll be branded a heretic but I've never really seen the appeal of the Browning HP. Of course, that said I don't like Glocks either so what do I know?1 point

Great that it's going ahead, and I reckon it is a large enough area to be viable with some smart build work. I just hope they don't sink loads in and then get dicked over as soon as a more conventional client shows interest.1 point

As all the above. I have a few GBBRs but I still haven't used them in a game yet because of the necessity to bring loads of mags WITH extra BBs and gas into the game. And you'll still be outgunned by anyone with a couple of hi-caps If you really want an entry GBBR to use in the garden then the cheapest option is the WE G36 BUT the internal parts will only last a few thousand shots before the trigger sear wears out so be prepared to buy spares from KYAirsoft1 point
-
Yeahhhh, for that budget you will get a KWA mp9 and *maybe* one spare magazine if you're lucky. Since the magazines are 48rds, you need a lot more than a single spare magazine. GBB SMGs and rifles are unfortunately expensive to get into because the magazines are hella expensive and you need a bunch.1 point

M4 AEG to DMR
Skullchewer reacted to Lozart for a topic
Thing is though, it doesn't make it a sniper rifle, does it? While yes, I agree that to many it's just semantics the whole "is an M4 a DMR just because it has higher FPS and scope slapped on it" is a valid argument. Given that the whole basis for the need of an exemption under the VCRA is that we want our toys to be "realistic", running a 400FPS pistol with a 1J boltie sidearm just seems a bit disingenuous.1 point -

I'm quite partial to the Hi-Capa, coming in several different barrel lengths (from 3.8" to 7") TM's versions are expectedly great out of the box though you may not like plastic slides in which case WE's haven't let me down. Especially with TM, there's a big aftermarket for performance upgrades and cosmetic customisations.1 point -
