  1. The best thing that you can do now is log off, create a new account and come back in with a different name and attitude. In a very few posts, you have given most people here the impression that YOU are an utter prick. Pull your neck in and try to accept that you are the problem here, not any of those who have responded to you.

  4. Leo's Gameplan for Forum Success Step 1: Start over again as a beginner. "Hello all! I've never played airsoft but I'm here to learn new things and increase my knowledge." Step 2: Don't ask to be spoonfed, ask for info about things you've already researched. "I like the look of M4 replicas and the ones by G&G seem to be well-received; how do y'all feel about the CM-16? Is it reliable? What kind of range and accuracy could I expect? Thanks for the info!" Step 3: Take it step by step. Play with a rental, get your own gun, learn to play well, observe and learn. Gain experience. And then start asking about a field. You are not getting any responses to your question because you are asking the wrong question. They're just trying to point you towards the right ones.

  5. I picked up my M16A2 from the tech today, now has an aster for burst mode fitted. Ignore the 416 pistol grip though, I uh... Thought I had one, and had already used it on another build so it's a stand in for testing 😅 Dead happy to have a cool replica. Just have a few small parts to change. It's surprisingly quite comfortable and not too front heavy. Can't wait to field it next month!

If you dropped into a hairdressing forum and said "I want to open a hairdressing shop, what's the best haircut? PS, I have never cut hair before." what response would you expect? Now, if you'd said "What's the best way to get into airsoft?" you'd have been love-bombed with advice about which sites to play at and which to avoid, what to expect, and people offering to meet up and show you the ropes or let you try out various types of gun. Airsoft is actually a very friendly hobby full of mostly decent people who are keen to help other players out. Give it a try first, find out what it's really like at its best and its worst, and then you'll be in a position to ask cogent questions if you still want to try running a site.

  10. Sounds like you've never played airsoft but want to open a site? Doesn't sound like the right way of doing it. Go and play a few games first, and ask other players what they think, then you'll answer a lot of your questions.

Dude the the fact that you with 19 posts to your name now, are arguing with people with thousands of posts to their name shows that they are exactly the people you should be listening to. The fact you have asked about pistols shows how very little you now about the sport and haven't a clue about how to build and run a sight. However I would like to thank you for creating this thread and giving me and i'm sure most of the members here one of the best laughs we have had in ages.

  17. Yes, it is a shame TM have that on their sight, but no matter, It's only on there temporarily as it is the only one that fits the new G17Gen5 which has, at this time, a unique adaptor plate that comes with it. That is until such time adaptor plates for 'proper' optics become available from third parties... E.g. this... Right side pistol trades are like this:

Thank you @BreadyC for 3d printing the suppressor for me. Absolutely zero wobble and I'm confident it should work without clipping even on full auto where these tend to go a bit on the brrrrrrrrrrrt side. Last thing I need for it is a leather strap on the front and I'll probably just pay for a real-steel one. Unfortunately the front sight has snapped off at some point (no idea when this happened), but nobody uses the iron sights on these because both the sights and the retractable stock are absolute ass, which is at least consistent with the real-steel mac11 as they're ass on the real one as well!

  20. I'll read the thread later for amusement, but having read your first few posts..... What pews to buy is the last question you ask. You're setting up a business ffs. Location, facilties, insurance, staff, marketing.... all of which are probably easiesr to answer than what budget toy is least susceptible to kids, morons, and moronic kids, plus the few beginners that will eventually buy their own and become the l33t like us. Innit. I've only been doing this a few years, but jeepers talk about going in arse about face. Let alone acting like a total douche canoe with zero sense of humour and skin as thick as McDonald's rice pudding. If you're planning on running an Airsoft site, you'll have to deal with far worse than you've got here especially if ex military types rock up or the local fuzz decide they want to vent their workday stresses (yes I've played on sites like this). To touch on what pew....M4, chunky stock battery housing, quick change spring and abrand that has readily available spares, short barrel, iron sights. Now if you don't mind.... I have several pages of hilarity to read.

  23. I am not following anyone; I have read the thread and come to my own viewpoint. You really do need to step away from the keyboard or put down the phone, go and have a cup of tea and take some time to think about how you have presented yourself in this thread. Then think about how you could have approached it better. However, that takes maturity and an ability to acknowledge your errors.

  25. The fact that you've resorted to childish insults for not getting your own way shows that my initial suspicions are correct. As you clearly have trouble understanding my posts I'll break it down for you. All Your Questions Have Been Answered. Use The Search Function The answer to what is the best gun is very subjective. Asking 10 airsofters this would get you 11 different answers but you'd know that if you weren't wanting to be spoonfed

  27. You'll have more luck asking 'how long is a piece of string'. This question has been asked ad nauseum, and you didn't even attempt to qualify it with a gun type. At least others start with 'I want an M4/MP5/G36 etc (delete as appropriate) what do you recommend?' So yeah, spoonfeeding.

@Polyscript chill, some of us have been at this for literally decades, posts like yours are ten-a-penny, & 99% of them never come to fruition, of the 1% that do, half don't last beyond the first year. Hence why some of us can be a bit cynical when we read first posts such as these. As has been pointed out, to get a good understanding you need to ideally be playing, visiting the best rated sites to see how they do it, comparing your potential site to others, what features does yours have & how can it be improved, assuming the landowner will allow alterations. No ones gonna want to visit a flat featureless open field, that's gonna get boring 5 minutes in. Then, assuming you get to the point of opening the "doors", you need marshals, you need multiple game scenarios THAT WORK to keep clients interested, the list goes on & on, come back when you've played a few games & tell us about it & what you've learned, you'll get a much better reception than asking to be spoonfed info.

  30. Just going on the information at hand. If you're that thin skinned that you get upset by someone being honest and blunt then that's your problem. Either deal with it or be prepared to go through life perpetually offended

  31. Ffs is half term over yet? Seriously though, this reads like you've just discovered airsoft and are having pie in the sky ideas about making money from it despite having fuck all clue about what's involved. There's far more to it than just charging people to play and sitting back watching the money roll in. The fact that you think you need that many rental guns shows you don't have a clue
    2 points
  32. We can have fun with the answers (and with arguing over them), but this isn't a serious question. Setting up an airsoft site is a huge undertaking. Even people who've done it successfully before sometimes just give up while starting new sites. As noted, you'll need a large area of unambiguously private land, explicit permission from the landowner, and if you have any sense at all, liability insurance to cover you when someone shoots Little Johnny's eye out (example from real life) and you get blamed for it. That insurance will come with a set of assumptions and conditions about how you run the site. If you're even remotely serious about this, you'll want to play at several sites first, and take careful note of how they do things: boundaries, safe zones and safety checks, chrono, briefings, and marshalling. Rental guns are way, way down the list of priorities. If you're not prepared to interject yourself into a petty altercation between multiple grumpy men hopped up on Red Bull and adrenaline, then it's best to just enjoy playing airsoft at someone else's site.

    What guns are needed?

First of all, which country are you in? Before buying the toys you have to find out about the legalities of setting up an airsoft site. If you are in UK and own a large plot of land you can legally allow friends to play but you must have Public Liability Insurance for strangers to play. If your land is near public access footpaths etc then you need to find out what precautions must be taken.

  40. Don't be a dick, this is probably the most accomadaing forum/page around, but your question regarding "wot gun" wasn't relating to one for plinking in the garden (which in itself can have legal ramifications, consider that a friendly warning), but to a much bigger picture with regards to starting a site. You've had an answer, g36c is a great rental gun, leave it at that, but again be aware that in your current state, it's likely you cannot even buy ONE all black gun, never mind 30+, & no one will rent a two-tone, horrid things. Wind your neck in, use the search function, & if you need to ask further questions, be prepared to get replies that may admonish you, what your planning isn't straightforward or easy, otherwise most of us here would be doing it & raking in a fortune 😏

  46. As an observation, that is quite a restrictive DMR rule at that particular site. Only 1.48j/400FPS AND a 30m MED is fairly punitive, and I'm not sure the extra few meters range that could be achieved with the additional circa .3J would in any way outweigh the disadvantage of a 30m MED. As a comparison, I'm used to playing at a site whose DMR rules are 1.88J (equivalent of 450fps on a 0.2g BB), and has a MED of 25m. The additional power allowable gives you a more meaningful edge over the typical AEG, and the slightly lower MED gives you less occasions when you need to switch to a sidearm, and more of a fighting chance to be within the useful range of your side arm when you do have to switch. Honestly, with the DMR rules at your site as they are, it would seem better to focus on squeezing all possible performance out of the gun whilst remaining below the standard 1.13J limit in my view. edit: to add, i would expect that the measures which you have listed would do a very good job of extracting maximum performance out of the rig, at whatever power level you decide upon, but i will defer to the opinions of others who have better knowledge of this particular platform.

  47. I've got a G&G GPM92, a Novritsch SSP1 and a recently purchased Jag Precision Pit Viper, granted all of them cost a smidge more than the Vorsks mentioned, but I've had the GPM and the SSP1 for years and they have been heavily used. Not one single part of either of them has ever needed to be replaced because it had broken. I'd maybe consider trying a different brand of Glock 18 mate, sure it may cost a little more but think of your time and the fuckery involved in changing out broken parts vs spending a little more in the first place.
