I'm from that area, Islington to be precise but if I crossed my road I'd then be in Hackney. I moved out more than 30 years ago but travelled back & stayed there regularly, til my dad passed 9 years ago?, & my strongest memories of the last few visits were regularly hearing gunshots, sirens & low flying police helicopters EVERY NIGHT. The days seemed almost normal though, which was kinda weird, but I get why police response borders on excessive in many areas, & as you've pointed out, this is just one sides pushed narrative by an extremely biased group. I wonder had a member of the public put in a call regarding "juveniles on bikes carrying guns", kinda call that guarantees an armed response. The cynical side of me might even question was the whole thing staged to illicit a police response, that could then be heavily critsized ?.3 points

tl;dr summary - Hackney, 13 year old with a blue-and-white (or pink-and-white) water pistol[*] gets rammed off his bike and arrested at gunpoint, allegedly. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-67148208 While I suspect there's a bit more to it than that[*], it's a salient reminder that waving any vaguely gun-shaped-object in public is now absolutely gagging for an over-reaction by the tools of the State. [*] This is strictly the victimhood side of the narrative, being pushed by what appears to be a BLM offshoot. Similar reports from the US about "neighbourhood water fights" have turned out to actually mean non-consensual shooting of random public victims with gel blasters.2 points

TL:DR translation - black kid in Hackney gets upset that waving anything gun shaped about in public is likely to attract the attention of PC Dibble. Another bullshit non-story being pushed to further someone's agenda.2 points

An update from my ongoing search. So I tired to order the Guarder part from KY airsoft as they claimed to have it stock. What they really meant was they thought they could get it quickly from their distributor. Given I believe there are none anywhere they of course could not. After a lone wait it took a lot of chasing to get them to admit this and a lot more persuation to get a refund. Even then when they promised the refund they never processed it, so had to claim through PayPal (sucessfully). Leason - AVOID KY airsoft. I have had some minor success. I have recieved an Army Force version from sixmm. https://www.sixmm.com/en-gb/products/army-force-army-metal-housing-with-magwell-for-m-seriesgbbfor-r-r-r-gbb Sixmm have a mixed reputation but after some chasing they eventually shipped and it has arrived. For the price it is OK. It will need some filing to make it fit but I am OK with this. It also looks OK with a matt finish that matches my frame. It will certianly work for now until in many months (could be a year) when Guarder or Nova make some more. As a bonus it also came with the hammer sping and retention pin. Will replace the spring but always good to get the pin which can be a nightmare to find on it's own. James1 point

Picture of a guy who got shot by a 50mm weapon: *This page left intentionally blank* Barrett have done a handful of bullpups actually well worth a look in to. M95, M99 and the M82A2 prototype off the top of my head. The M95 I mainly know about because it was the main unlock for the Sniper class in Battlefield 2 and I once sniped a heli pilot out of an Mi-28 mid flight and that was perhaps the highlight of my teenage years (I was too scared to ask a girl out on a date).1 point

Personally it's the CTM all the way for me as you can mount absolutely anything you want on the AAP-01 and still use it (edit: even the foldable stock if you want, and I did this for a short while), plus it comes with included attachments for both belts and molle (however for molle you'll need a Malice clip). Two things to be aware of though are always use thread lock with its bolts so they don't work lose and it does not work with adjustable / speed triggers.1 point

Given that the images have been taken from another site, it's likely just a scam. Impressive that it's not been taken down though.1 point

The Kydex holsters are very nice. Just to give an alternative source, Kydex customs are also a good choice. You will need to budget for a mount. https://www.kydexcustomsuk.com/collections/pro-series-holsters/products/pro-series-aap-01-holster1 point

Krytac Vector GBB
Tackle reacted to 1st commando for a topic
The KWA one was done before Krytac existed . Basically Defiance licensed KWA to make the GBB vector and they had a big fall out . Most of the KWA USA staff then left KWA and started Krytac as the airsoft division of Defiance (Kriss). KWA owned the proprietary gas system as they did the R&D etc and it's based on their gas system so Krytac were not allowed to use it. At the same time KWA couldn't make the Vector anymore as the license now belonged to Krytac hence why neither party could continue with it.1 point -
I use a Deadly Customs dedicated holster. https://deadlycustoms.co.uk/product/action-army-aap-01-kydex-dc1-series-holster-2/ this is for the stock plastic upper https://deadlycustoms.co.uk/product/action-army-aap-01-kydex-dc1-series-holster-black-mamba-kit-version/ this (the one I have) is for the Black Mamba upper. These don't allow you to use a torch, there are other DC options for that, just look around the website. Quality wise they're awesome, very secure fit (almost too tight) so you won't lose your gun nor your mags in the field.1 point

There's 3 I use, but I'll list them in order of preference. All allow me to run a suppressor, but only the last allows me to run a flashlight (not too bothered about flashlights as I play woodland) Warrior Assault Systems universal holster - £50 https://www.uktactical.com/product/warrior-universal-pistol-holster-olive-drab-10557 Amomax universal holster - £17 https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/amomax-per-fit-universal-holster-black-g-series-m9-taurus-cz-sig-beretta-am-uh-40927-p.asp CTM AAP-01 holster - £30 https://www.skirmshop.co.uk/aap01-high-speed-holster-black.html The latter two can be mounted on a belt using one of these: https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/amomax-roto-holster--magazine-pouch-belt-paddle-35118-p.asp https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/amomax-airsoft-holster--magazine-pouch-belt-clip-adapter-am-bc-35123-p.asp If you're looking to run it on a regular belt, the Warrior Assault Systems one won't work for you as that is molle mounted. I run it on a molle belt. The other two can be mounted on a regular belt just fine though.1 point

Operation Just ‘Cos 1992 In 1992 a cartel of confectionary smugglers seized control of a small island off the south coast of England. To restore order and ensure American tourists were not over charged for Mr Whippies the US Army’s 99th infantry division “the Twinkie eaters” were deployed by passenger ferry from Lymington. When the Pentagon realised they had mistakenly reacted to a screen play by Anthony Minghella a truce was negotiated. The cartel would supply 4000 Fab’s in exchange for temporary custody of Heather Locklear.1 point -

How often do you play?
GothicGhost reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
I try to get a game in once a month wherever possible, but like you my work gets in the way so I quite often find myself playing midweek games as even if I do get the Sunday off it's often the day after a night shift and I don't fancy staying up for over 24 hours.1 point -
