  2. I ran my cyma M4 exclusively on 11.1v for several years with no problems, it was the plastic body which gave out first. It's where you end up if you build a gun with an unnecessarily high rof and use it on full auto, either to compensate for a lack of skill or to deliberately hurt people, ie be a wanker

  4. What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo. Should've sent him this back.

  5. @Galvatronasked on the advert and got this reply "it is in working order apart from when a mag is in, it just needs jolting back slightly to have no issues feeding. great for parts or starter project" So that would be a no then.

  6. Seems like you already know what you want, so why don't you build your own dream gun? This is my main gun now, it started as a Specna C-02 and over time I pretty much replaced everything bar the polymer body. I wanted low weight and performance, couldn't (still can't) give a fuck about looks, 6.7" front end with a 7" inner barrel in a sub 2kg (w battery and mag) package. Not the most extreme in terms of RPS (22/30 with 7.4v/11.1v respectively) but lifts 0.32s up to 60/65 metres at 0.98J of energy and is rather efficient thanks to a Warhead motor. It has a slightly longer and heavier brother which started its life as a Specna C-08 and now looks like this: Pretty much identical in terms of mechanical parts, the only difference is the barrel length (this one's 10")

  7. Yup, that's the Buyer's Regret Starter Set. With the current daft price of G&Gs it may not be too outrageous, depending on what what "GT" actually is and whether the "free" CM16 is functional at all. Although I think the most likely case is that £550 is new price of the 3 guns. Another lazy listing, bare minimum info, hasn't thought about postage or fees, and is expecting buyers to chase him saying "Pretty please, mister, tell me how much of a bargain I'm getting". Best of luck with that.

  8. It's really weird...I'm gonna have to do another test of all my mags. Yellow tape for the Specna, Maybe green for the l85. By the time I've done the Double Eagle and the boy's M4 based pews, my mag case is going to look like Brighton High Street during an LBTQ++ABCDEFG march. #youdoyoubro

  12. HELLO!!!! (resident DE shill enters the conversation 😋) I now own both the 904G and the 906C (metal body). The 906C gets my recommendation if you can spring for the extra cash and don't mind a little extra weight. But... the stock rate of fire is quite low, and the motor gets quite toasty when spamming the semi auto, thanks to some active braking. So it's not perfect, but it's great value. Investigate the Specna's and Cyma's as an alternative if your budget is at the lower end.

  15. I had very similar symptoms with a RIF and it was exactly as Adolf states. Over time, the motor height adjustment screw backed off; when the piston was almost the whole way back, the resistance in the gearset was such that the pinion slipped on the bevel. A tiny drop of thread lock on the adjustment screw solved the problem.

  16. Pretty sure the regular MWS mags will fit, just like the shorter mags should also fit the regular MWS.

  17. Did I imagine hearing that the Novritsch one is... OK? Degenerate and heretical either way, of course.

  18. Screeching noise sounds more like a mechanical issue than a stalled motor. I'm tempted to think the motor height adjustment is backing out gradually when firing until eventually it's enough to slip on the bevel.

  20. So GHK is a bit of a sore subject they are having alot of QC issues currently and buying new is not a good idea, if you can find one second hand that has none of the QC issues would be your best bet otherwise you are just risking alot of money on a lemon. VFC however have been known to be great recently.

  21. Be careful tying to get as close as possible to 350fps because chrono readings do vary so it might show higher on theirs. Does that CYMA have a full metal tooth piston rack? If not its more likely to strip ...and 28rps in definitely in wanker territory

  22. You can use 11.1v but it will likely break something very quickly. The internals must run super smooth and be made with components that can handle such power. The parts inside will wear faster and any problems will result in more severe failure.

  23. The issue of molle gear was not complete by the time of the 2nd Gulf war and it’s common to see troops with FLC/interceptor molle mag pouches and then ALICE canteen covers etc attached. The fit on pals webbing but can be a bit loose. But there is an adaptor available to give a tighter fit. The USMC also have a dedicated K-Bar molle adaptor (of course). IBA worn with IIFS vest. The initial MOLLE patent is from 1996 with roll out from 1997 onwards, with a considerable overlap in ALICE/IIFS/MOLLE use. https://arsof-history.org/articles/19oct_body_armor_page_1.html A woodland ALICE/M1967 type butt pack was issued specifically for molle. It does not use pals however and has the same attachment hardware as the IIFS field training pack. The difference is the internal skirt is Olive fabric. Presumably cheaper or they’d run out of woodland nylon? A comparison is given here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4cayKlbiVQ

  25. As you're new here, it may be worth addressing these questions/points so you don't get either bombarded with DMs that lead to nowhere or have people just walk away for a lack of clarity: 1) Do you do local pickup/meet only or do you offer postage in the within the UK? 2) Is the "free" CM16 in working order? 4 uses don't tell a fully story. I recently played alongside a fellow whose RIF stopped working the second time he fielded it. 3) Does the CM16 have its original flash hider or only the tracer in the photo? 4) What's the model of what looks like a 551 RDS? Does it have legitimate windage & elevation adjustment? 5) There are a few different models of GT in G&G's lineup. Are there more details on the left of the lower receiver? 6) Another picture with a note by the RIFs with your username and the current date would offer some peace of mind as you haven't built up feedback.

  27. I just happened to be watching this video... .. and I noticed the new control unit has support for LiFe batteries. The commentary mentions 'correct battery voltage detection' It's a shame the DEX / DEK guns are a bit 'fuggly' (with apologies to anyone who likes the super-stubby honey badger look), but I think this unit also exists in the AEX 15 (for those who like a futuristic M4 variant)

  30. I've not had any problems with them (and yes, you can get another 5% discount if you leave your basket alone for 24 hours), but my working assumption is that all airsoft retailers are exactly as bad as each other when it comes to aftersales. If you get anything less than what you pay for then you should exercise your statutory right to reject (no need to give a reason), and then when they inevitably wibble and wobble, go ahead and initiate a chargeback through your credit card / bank / PayPal ASAP. They're not our mates, they're for-profit businesses, and should be factoring in the cost of lemons.

  32. Most don't fully (or partially) realise the depreciation this is likely a 90-95% of new to recover the initial cost of a bad entry into the hobby.

  33. It escapes me why anyone would pay that much for non-functioning RIFs with no idea of what's wrong with them. Unless you have spare parts to hand, it's probably less or the same price to just buy new with a warranty.
    1 point
  34. As we've seen recently, Patrolbase seem the slicker and more 'quality' place to buy from, but they're just as capable of sending out a bad RIF and failing to fulfill their obligations. Which sucks. So I don't know if more experienced purchasers would recommend paying the premium at the likes of Defcon or Fire Support, when there's stock available...? The problem is there's often stock level issues at almost everyone but PB and BBG4L, so you might just have to suck it up if there's a QC issue Edit: Actually, I don't mean 'suck it up' as in 'just up with it and fix it yourself', though that remains an option for the more experienced purchaser with a bottomless wallet and tech experience... I really mean 'fight it out' using the consumer protection laws etc. Don't let the bastards get away with it, assuming you have the time and determination!

    THE TM MWS thread

If I never have to remove a trigger box again, it'll be too soon. What an absolutely vicious bastard of a job that was. It has taken more than an hour to get the fucker out, and that was only by resorting to brute force and the bigger hammer! True to form, despite only wanting to get the trigger box free enough to change the Zet plate, during my fuckery, one of the sear springs made a jump for it. Fortunately I caught it, but that meant that not only have I had to remove the box entirely, but then disassemble it to replace the little sod. Unbelievably, everything is now back in one piece, with a beautiful rainbow-hued Bavtac Zet plate installed and working like a charm. The externals can wait until the morning.

  37. EPMs can cause feeding issues due to the strength of the sprint in some AEGs. I just use generic mid-caps from Nuprol and they've worked fine. I've heard about these Daniel Defence mid-caps getting popular in place of EPMs. I'm not sure if they're prone to the same issues or they're just EPMs in a different shell. I'd happily take 150 round mid-caps that have an extended follower. There'll be a certain someone by soon to recommend the Double Eagle M904.

  38. While I'd usually recommend avoiding any shop with bb guns in the name, they're legit. However the gun you linked to is coming up as out of stock so, unless you're not in a hurry, you might just have to bite the bullet and pay the slightly higher price.

  39. They’re fine, ordered 2 guns and bits from them with no issues, though I’ve never had to use their return process so can’t comment on that front. If you add something to your cart and leave it they usually email you a 5% off code (though mine ended up in spam so I missed it when I ordered).

  40. Some answers - M4 Platform Have you looked at VFC, they are more known for their hk 416 but it is close to an M4, and i keep my hk416 as a spare in care my gbbr craps out. Krytac are not bad but i believe they have some proprietary stuff ( dont take my word for it) Specna does some decent stuff and is better value than the previous brands i quoted, i’d stay away from marui recoil if you want recoil, go gbbr - 350FPS for UK sites - shoot .28 / .30 for woods and wind/range Whatever replica you get, make sure you can install a good standard hop up chamber, put in a harder nub, and while you’re at it, why not get a nice barrel, Maple leaf are good, prommy can be excellent but some qc issues, PDI used to be a good standard, lots of threads on those subject online Good hop/barrel set up will matter more for range and accuracy than fps, everyone will confirm - Mainly semi-auto... possibly some full auto but not bothered about giga RPS. Tend not to be a sprayer. keep the auto function on your rif, sometimes it can be fun to “get your gun off” if the site allows and you’re not magdumping someone - Reliable Everyone will have different experience and opinion on that. Have you considered hpa with a kythera which does semi only and put a co2 adapter in the stock so you dont have to deal with the line, that’ll be more reliable than a gearbox, and silent, or a mtw wolverine with wraith stock, it’ll cost but i havent hear anyone say anything bad about those yet. - Lightweight / polymer body. That’s not neccessary, get a well balanced rif, lighter rail at the front ( ex: change your picatinny to a keymod ) and use a correctly set up two point sling - Mixed woods/CQB... do it all You’ll probably want a barrel at most 14.5 inch ( m4a1 length ). I would not go under 10 inch barrel ( MK18 or m4 cqbr) but that’s personnal preference, i dont want my rifle to have a smaller barrel than a pistol ( although i like the arps from g&G and the arp 556 could really be a good fit looking at your requirements ) - Short/shorter style rifle maybe best for use? (do it all) Get a 10 in barrel, put in a pdw stock, or an arp 556 - not too sure on batteries but 11.1v lipo sounds nice Cant see why that would be neccessary, but i’ll let someone else take this one -I wear a DYE i4 mask and would like to continue to. I understand I may need an adaptor for the stock I would advise a raised red dot, and you won’t need stock adaptor, and it looks tacticool ( it’s my next purchase ) Finally, you like diy and teching yourself, let me save you some grief, if you ignore the rest, make sure to pay attention to this: DO NOT open your gearbox on your main replica if you do not have a spare rif. If you put it back wrong ( and that’ll happen, that’s a when, not an if ) you cant play, you risk ruining other bits, and turn your 6mm war machine into a paperweight

  42. A man boarded an airplane and took his seat. As he settled in, he glanced up and saw the most beautiful woman boarding the plane. He soon realized She was heading straight towards his seat. As fate would have it, she took the seat right beside his: Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out. "Business trip or pleasure?" She turned, smiled and said. "Business. I’m going to the Annual Nymphomaniacs of America Convention in Boston." He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen Sitting next to him and she was going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked. “What’s your Business at this convention?" “Lecturer." She responded. "I use information that I have learned from my Personal experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality." “Really?” He said. “And what kind of myths are there?” “Well.” She explained. “One popular myth is that African-American men are The most well-endowed of all men, when in fact it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is That Frenchmen are the best lovers, when actually it is men of Mexican Descent who are the best. I have also discovered that the lover with Absolutely the best stamina is the Southern Redneck." Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed.. "I’m Sorry." She said, “I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don’t even know your name." "Tonto." The man said. "Tonto Gonzales, but my friends call me Bubba." ..........
