That's the sort of thing that I'd want to see spelled out right up front - that you're selling a "quick fix, just don't have the time" project, not a skirmishable gun.

  5. My new boots were excellent today. Feet still in a lot of pain, but then, I weigh 130kg, have done 7 miles of running today wearing full plate carrier and 3 litre camelbak. Just got home and trying to muster the energy to cook dinner and finish the laundry.

Filling the void of no pewing for a few months (bloody work shifts) by tinkering with my AKs. Put my RPK back to wood stock and put a folding stock on my AK. Keeping the side folding reciever because I know I'll want to put it back on an AK in the future. Next pewing will be first weekend of August at Battle Lakes. May have to say goodbye to the RPK within the year due to a possible move to London as a mature student. So I need to give it a good few run outs.

  8. I’ve got a couple of HSGI AO Small chest rigs which are comfortable and light weight. On the plus side you can mount what you like, but it’s going to be slightly more bulky than a preset setup

  10. I have a Cyma 042 and 045A, both of which are absolutely solid, have steel and wood construction, easy to find mags for and perform beautifully straight out of the box. They're both around the Β£200 mark and are where I'd be looking if I were you.

  13. You need full MTP's & Osprey Mk4 body armour or Virtus (full kit), in all honesty tho there are plenty options on ebay, going to my second skirmish tomorrow & have already ditched the PLCE for something MUCH lighter, got modern PLCE to use with a SCAR-L & a 'tactical vest' with G36 mag pouches (they were a pain in the arse in plce) to use with a G36.

  14. Hey guys, just thought I'd add that Lowa EU is doing an insane sale at the moment, I just picked up some zephyrs for around Β£50 when they are usually about Β£160. I have heard lots of good things about the zephyrs and lowa as a whole so it is worth looking on their site. I will add the sale is only on the eu website lowaeu.com.

  15. We've got the same issue at my local site at the moment, though without the face shots (most of the time) and a bit more shooting within MED. We'll reliably have more than 10 ghillies out of 70 - 80 players, and that's not including myself and my friend as we've ditched the ghillies for now, partially to practice camo and concealment skills but partially to make sure we can't be associated with any of it. Plus, it just feels weird to me when there's that many ghillies and I make the joke that eventually it will be 40 ghillies vs 40 ghillies πŸ˜‚

  16. Very happy to say the seller has contacted me, the boots have got back to him and he's posting them on to my home address now. Yay! Glad to hear the boots are good Dan Good idea Roger, though hopefully my pre-owned boots will already be broken in

  17. Yep we should be there again next week, prob only a half day again as the boy has a football tournament on Sun. Combat Airsoft looks interesting - the distance might cause a few β€˜are we there yets’ from the passenger seat though.

  18. Underneath, or round the back? If I'm in any doubt about new footwear, I stick some non-brandname-adhesive bandage on the back of my heel. In extremis, I've even slapped some duct tape on there to ameliorate rubbing.

It looks great (nOt a rEaL DMR CaLiBrE ThOuGh, BrO), but I'd want to know if it actually sling BBs, and if so, at what air-speed-velocity.

  20. Back from our second ever game at Spec Ops MK. Only did a half-day today as expected it to be hot and it's a good thing as my new boots have cut my heels to shreds, so was very much done by lunch. Turns out wearing them at your desk for a couple of hours doesn't count as a proper test. That aside, another good day of fun. Played a new game mode which involved rescuing a downed pilot (dummy) from the enemy camp. Hugely entertaining, especially when on the defending side as I managed to get a decent rate of kills. I think the game might need rebalancing though as I don't think anyone stood a chance of evac'ing the dummy, but who doesn't love a suicide mission. The boy had a good game with no injuries or mishaps, so at least one of us made it unscathed. He was, unusually for him, tired out by lunch so I'm assuming the heat has got to him. One more game to go before I'm UKARA registered which will simultaneously make the day rate cheaper but also meaning I empty my wallet on gun purchases. Have also realised I need something other than a bright red backpack to carry my gear and my Β£10 Asda jeans now have holes in the knees, so I'm open to suggestions on budget chest-rigs and trousers with knee-protection built in. Hello new hobby, good-bye fiscal responsibility.

I have no clue what the real steel stuff is worth, or how much it depreciates, but I’d put a value on the replica itself at somewhere under or around $300. I know some people prefer the BTC, but it’s outdated at this point, so it doesn’t add crazy value… And then a G&P with full trades, presumably shipped from Asia, and presumably one of the old G&P versions, not the newer crap. So a very nice base replica… I know of smart people paying $300–350 USD for rarer G&Ps, but it’s hard to put an exact price on anything. At the end of the day, it’s worth what someone will pay for it, regardless of what it has going. Look for similar listings, see what they sell for, and if you feel like those are prices you’d be comfortable settling at, go for it!

I bet he's off to form the Airsoft Players' Union of the United Kingdom. Thanks for cat-wrangling for so long, I can't imagine there will be a big queue of volunteers daft enough to be the someone in "Why someone oughta!"

  29. I've spoken to an ADF chap I know who's used the F90 GBBR, first time i heard about it was about 8 months before it was announced to the world as he's been using them for the past few years. I didn't believe him to begin with... He says its great fun and wishes airsoft was legal there. Genuinely cannot wait to get one, it will Tee off my AUSTEYR and ADF collection nicely.

  30. To be fair, cheap doesn't have to be cheerful (aka mediocre), many of the so called "cheap" brands do a great job of flinging bb's, often with spec & results quite close to those of their ridiculously expensive brethren, as long as the budget brand has a reasonable reputation & not full of proprietary parts, you can't go wrong.

Thanks Jim. The gb-tech/vfc front set has long been oop and when new was $530 ( early 2000s ) , the g&p m16a1 lowers are again hard to find. Roger lol atm no the barrel and hop was borrowed for my mod1 but it's only 340fps , plan was to rebuild the gearbox in to a 400fps DMR haha

  32. Sorry to hear that. Β£17 is taking the budget to an extreme πŸ˜‰ My boots were marked on evri as delivered so I went to the pick up shop. They don't do Hermes or Evri, so feck knows where those boots have actually gone. The eBay system gave me the option of that store so it's broken. What a pain in the ass. They're good boots at a great price, and I'll probably never get them now. Meanwhile my clompy para boots actually were fine through my half day, they just felt heavy once it was all done and I was toiling back to the safe zone with my two guns and heavy backpack

  34. Ran this thing at ZedMart last night, it absolutely slayed! Thats a Ruger Charger stock, it’s recommended to be used in combination with a bipod as a backpack varmint rifle but it makes an absolute demon of a CQB gun I am paying the price today for my slightly devil-may-care playstyle during last nights game. Did a bit of rushing in and I’m absolutely covered in welts… this is probably the worst
