Hi bud. Yes,as @Speedbird_666says,I have been going since 2016. It's a bit like marmite. I like it because it's a bit of a get away from it all for the weekend with guns and games as a bonus. Great festival atmosphere with plenty of gear being sold at good prices. Games are as intense or laid back as you want. I like to play at a slower pace than the youngsters, but at the same time I try to stay on mission. At the end of the weekend,if we win that's great and if we don't it's still great. GIve it a try and see what you think.Be prepared for lots of walking though,it's a huge map 🙂 oh yeah loads of choice for food and the bar is pretty good lol. See you there.... regards2 points

Ok. It works brilliantly. Feeds well, doesn't leak and just does the job. You very quickly realise how loud the RIF is on a constant full auto (ears were ringing at the end of the day) It is nice not having to reload after every 30 shots, But at the same time I did miss reloading and hitting the bolt release. Now it's starting to warm up I'll prob go back to using it with my green mags and using the hpa for colder days.2 points -

there are two types of projectiles typically used in Airsoft launchers, 1) moscart shells, that are effectively shotgun style shells that you load up with between 18-200rounds and shoot out all one one go be that in m203, M79 or rocket launcher. They all do the same thing. 2) an actual projectile. I typically use TAG innovation rounds, that either explode on impact or after a certain flight time or even that deploy smoke. But you can also use NERF rockets too Check out this video from circa 7 years ago where I use an explosive 'archangel' TAG round to shoot a dude behind cover. https://youtu.be/y47tupfDxC4 Tag rounds really do transform the grenadier class into a really useful accessory to carry, but not all sites let you use them though.1 point -

Yup. HPA does get unfairly maligned as the issue, when it's the user that's at fault. I have one hpa gun I run (which is lovely but it's convinced me I'm not into hpa, I just don't like the line and tank at all), and I can see that it would be theoretically easy to tamper even when tagged.1 point -

Do I need a Double Eagle M90xx series gun?
Speedbird_666 reacted to Krisz for a topic
To be honest I'd buy an M917C UTR45 instead because a.) it's not an m4 b.)it looks cool as fuck and to me it's always looks like a modernised UMP (but actually there is a real steel version of this replica). G&G is so overpriced nowadays it's insane... If you're into DMR bespoke airsoft sells the cheaper m904b version and sells very expensive ones as well. Answering your hop-up unit question there is nothing wrong with a stock DE unit but the plastic ZCI from ak24m is just next level regarding adjustability. I think it's a good investment. Also, I changed hop-up bucking, inner barrel and nub. There is nothing wrong with the plastic/metal parts on the gun but ofc don't expect LCT quality externally. If you're set on M4 I would look around Arcturus as well. They started to make really interesting replicas recently.1 point -
Do I need a Double Eagle M90xx series gun?
Speedbird_666 reacted to RostokMcSpoons for a topic
I can pipe up for the metal bodied M906C (which is a bit tricky to source, at the moment, I think) - How has the Falcon FCS fared? Seems like a Titan knock-off (in form factor at least) with some basic functions but I don't expect miracles for the money. It's still going strong on mine. No pre-cocking or active braking available, but the features it has work well. I've occasionally switched on binary mode - it's definitely a cheat-mode for semi-auto games so I don't actually use it in-game because it feels 'wrong' I have used burst fire mode, and it's easy to program (and reset) YT video - Related to above - Is anyone running 11.1v LiPo out of the box? Any major issues in doing so? I freaked out about the idea of 11.1v when I first got mine, but it's fine and the extra 3 or 4 rps does make a difference (even if it's mostly psychological) Currently running a Titan 3000mAH Li-Ion nunchuck in a PTS EPS stock. I do manage to run it down to empty close to the end of the day. - I hear the springs and hop units are worth replacing? My hop unit is still fine, but a ZCI rotary for £10 can't be a bad purchase. The stock rubber is quite hard, so Maple Leaf Macaron 50 degree + Omega nub sorted that. The springs are definitely made of cheese, an ASG M105 cured that. I might be a little down on power than when I first put it in though - perhaps the gearbox needs a decent bit of lube, it might be gumming up after a year and a half. Range and accuracy is still excellent with 0.28's. Even better with 0.32's. - How's the plastic on the plastic-bodied guns? Is it closer to G&G than Cyma in terms of quality and fit? I've handled some of the rental guns and they seem pretty good, but I'll let others comment! - How's the finish on the metal bodied guns? Typically thin paint? Nope, the paint has held up very well... I did have a Novritsch camo cover on much of it for most of it's life, but it didn't cover the whole gun and I took it off a couple of skirmishes ago. I run my guns on 1 and 2-point slings, and it's banging on my battle-belt for much of the time. The only silvery bits are the edges of the RIS rail where the optics go, and the front edge of the mag well. Some light scratches elsewhere but not gone through the paint, it still looks good! I frickin' love my Double Eagle. I could easily live with it as my only gun. I'll get a battery charged up and get a video of it firing done for you (tonight or tomorrow) Edit1: Not much in metal bodies to be found. Patrolbase have the fancy UTR https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/double-eagle-m916b-utr556-long-metal-handguard-version?pv=18901 (Personally, I'm finding I like the shorter barrels more for a central center of gravity, it's less tiring to hold in the aiming position, but it's a cool looking gun so hey-ho) Edit2: Oh look, good ol' BBGuns has the 906 in stock! https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/double-eagle-m906c-ar15-rifle-with-falcon-system-in-black.html Note that the standard stock on the 906C is only big enough for a single tube style battery. Stepping up to the 908 (if you can find one) gets you a crane / EPS style stock.1 point -

So look out for the gear whore in tiger stripe - got it....😘 (just playing with you) I usually wear as little kit as I can get away with these days. I call this the 'hoody, 2 hicaps and a bag of BB's in a dump pouch loadout' Sometimes I rock a cheapo viper chest ring and midcaps in my special 'i'm too fat to be a speedsofter but wear paintball goggles anyway loadout' when playing CQB. Deeply uncool I know - I don't even run optics or sights on my guns most of the time now. Accuracy by volume and all that.1 point -

If you are Southampton based, you should give Ambush Activities at Botley a try (if you haven't already). They have just (as in 2-3 weeks ago) moved away from Paintball completely and have become a dedicated airsoft site. I'm hoping that they will be focusing on the optimising the field for Airsoft gameplay (it's very paintball-arena based at the moment) but the staff are friendly, have HPA fills on site, and the best run chrono station I have ever seen. Oh, and Dominos pizza gets delivered for lunch. I plan to return there later in the year to see if they implement any changes. Will do mate!1 point -

Import of real steel parts, particularly Zenitco
Aiden Chen reacted to Mondai for a topic
Everythings grey, yes but no but yes but no. I'd not see the difference in that import than an aliexpress parts import. Again aslong as they are legal parts to own e.g mags, furniture, it's fine. (Supressors have to be dummy) I've not had customs issues or courier delivery issues, only courier issues when exporting - they are a fussy bunch. Sending larger packs for a while then suddenly oops DPD actually scanned the box - had to drive half the country to collect. imo its a gamble you'd win 80% of the time but you do you and do not use this as advice because its bad advice based on luck. You could contact someone who deals in this stuff, but if you're not a customer I don't know how much time he'd give you. He's closed till next month or longer (heading to ukraine), his websites formatting has broken a bit. But ive even seen him sell real 9x39 VSS mags which are damn rare. https://www.cold-war-collectables.co.uk/parts-department/soviet-weapons-parts/ Deals in real steel deacs etc. - super jelous of his real AN-94, Bizon .etc https://www.facebook.com/ColdWarCollectables2/ It's also a shame Rusmilitary do not have Zenitco for offer as they are Russian, importing and selling Russian firearms & Accessories. (though I was unable to purchase something from them out of stock due to the sanctions) http://www.rusmilitary.com/ They even have a full sanction breakdown with loophole statement at the end just food for thought reading not that it matters imo (I'll avoid politics) http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/uk_sanctions.htm1 point -
Lambda/DCA GPMG
PureSilver reacted to Darkmikey22 for a topic
Yes the price is a bit high. And yes for DCA isn't anything new. But these will be full steel! And alot of R&D has gone into these to be right to the British version, and not just another M240. And also about price, my inokatsu full steel was £1500 and that was 10 years ago! I then built a full steel L7A2 gpmg from scratch! And I can tell you it cost me alot more than £2k.... As for lambda, they are a mixed bag. Some people Rate them, some don't. But honestly I can say the same for most brands. I've had 6 Ares Sa80s, and 2 have been a constant issue, yet the rest have been absolutely fine. And as for internals, I haven't run a support gun yet where I haven't had to pull apart the internals or fiddle with the box mag to run right.1 point -

Buy some good boots, and break them in before you go running around all day. Get some good eye pro and remember it is a consumable. Something that takes replacement lenses is best. Ignore Mr "PUSH UP!!! COME ON!!!" I have only ever heard him from behind somewhere. Most people love to show off their guns. If you want to have a look just ask. I normally give out the M60 to rentals to have a go with. Communication wins more games than big guns. Don't be afraid to walk over to a table and start talking in the safe zone. That table of freaks? That's normally the fun people who don't care if they get a kill all day and some how are wrecking machines. The guy with the 2k AEG is normally the first guy to pack up if it looks like rain. And just sound advice... Once you are a bit seasoned try and help out the rental guys. Either call follow me or ask where are we going. They will carry you to victory when you realize you are too old to move after 2:30pm 😇1 point

AEG shoots at 0.5J on 11.1v battery, but 1.1j on 7.4v. Why?
SSPKali reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Negative Airsoft has had to deal with a stack of KWA's with low power on 11.1v LiPos. There's a video on his Patreon with the 'fix' for the problem. You will need to add a bushing onto the Tappet spring guide to increase the spring tension, and you might also have to cut the tappet fin down (DSG style) so it will release earlier in the firing cycle to get nozzle moving forward earlier. If you cut the fin down - remove the delayer chip as well. I intend to do the same mods on my my KWA once I notice any kind of power drop. I take no credit for the info above - if this helps you fix your gun - please consider signing up to Negative Airsoft's Patreon for a fiver a month, even just for one month. There's loads of information in his longer-form videos that you won't see in his standard youtube releases.1 point -
AEG shoots at 0.5J on 11.1v battery, but 1.1j on 7.4v. Why?
SSPKali reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Pure guess: Tappet timing. The nozzle is not returning forward fast enough for the next cycle of the gears causing a huge airleak around the hop unit. Lower voltage battery means that the gears are rotating slower to complete the firing cycle giving the nozzle time to seat itself in the hop unit before the piston (thus air) is released. It's become a common issue on KWA guns but in theory could apply to other manufacturers. You can test by turning the gun upside down and placing a small square of tissue over the hop unit feed inlet. if the tissue is blown upwards when firing on an 11.1, yet not (or to a much lesser extent) on a 7.4, there's a good chance that could be your issue. If that's the case, make sure that the you remove any sector gear delay chips, replace your tappet spring and make sure your tappet is lubed on the rails, moving freely and in good condition. I'm sure others will chip in with alternate possibilities.1 point -
