  1. Had my one arrive on Tuesday, from Patrol Base. Haven’t had a chance to shoot or even handle it much yet, so here’s my initial out the box impressions so far. Largely very happy and impressed with the rifle. It’s not perfect and I do have some gripes, but it is close, and is probably the best you are going to get for an Airsoft No4 Lee Enfield, at this point. It’s finish is superb, being made of full steel, and a lovely dark wood stock. Comes pre oiled and wrapped in greasy paper on all the metal and moving parts which is nice and unlike S&Ts offering. Weight is very similar to the real thing, so it is heavy, but still less of a burden than I expected, even with the No32 scope on it. The bolt pull is very smooth and easy, much better than the slightly awkward and stiff pull on the S&T SMLE, and does somewhat replicate that of the real thing, from what I hear. The trigger however is very heavy, so much so, that I thought it was stuck on safety the first time I pulled it. This doesn’t cause too much of an issue once you get used to it, and it may loosen up a bit with use. The replica No32 Scope is very nice, and clear, although, I did find that you have to really get close to the lens to acquire that clear picture, which is fortunately helped by the cheek riser. On the flip side, my main gripe with it, comes from the fitting of the metal but-plate. It’s just not fitted well at all. Screwed in, off the mark so some metal is hanging out, and also leaving a gap on one side and the top. Its tighter on the other side as well, leaving a section of wood with some small splinters flaking off from the pressure. This seems very odd to me given the overall premium nature of this product, and attention to detail everywhere else on it. To compare, the but-plate on the S&T SMLE, is fitted perfectly all round, and that is a far cheaper product. Also some very small cracks where the but stock connects to the metal band. Maybe I was just unlucky with this and it’s nothing which can’t be overlooked to be honest, but it does bug me a bit given the price you pay, and otherwise excellent finish everywhere else. Also a bit of wobble with the front sight, but I think this can be screwed tight. I did try to fit a No4 MkII spike bayonet to it, as have seen photos of others do this on the rifle, but for whatever reason my bayonet did not fit on and I didn’t want to force it. So overall, on initial inspection, I do think this is a lovely and worth while Airsoft rifle as well as a superb replica of a No4T. Just a little annoying about the fitting issues, but that may just be bad luck on my part. I will have a good tinker and test fire with it over the weekend and share some photos here.

  2. I heard they're wearing the airsoft plate carriers that people asked members of this forum for a few months back. Glad to think that the Viper rig I donated is saving Ukrainian lives. The trick is to add folded up copies of Razzle in with the foam plates.

  3. I recall people bitching about that, and how it was wasting the Ukrainians time 🙄 Wait, you donated a copy of Razzle? You're supposed to leave them in parks and by railway lines.

  4. A Western Arms Doberman 45. Pretty much my all time "Unicorn" pistol due to it being WA and of an old desigen etc - despaired of ever being able to locate one. Amazingly enough, i received a tip-off from a good friend that there was one being sold. Grabbed it. I'm a very happy chappy

Pair of mint, as new, never worn M42 reinforced US Airborne paratrooper jump trousers, with matching US Army braces. Bought these brand new from Kay Canvas; have never been worn. IIRC the set cost me about £75. Very accurate repro, with all the features of originals including leg ties and reinforced pockets with press studs. As used by the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions in WW2. They are 38 waist and 34 leg, but please bear in mind these are as per originals and meant to be worn at the midriff, not the waist (or lower!) like modern trousers. Postage £5.75 - tracked and insured. Paypal fine - buyer covers fees. Questions? Ask away.

  8. I have owned a VFC 416, in fact it was my first gas gun. The externals are superb, however it proved pretty inconsistent in power terms, and unless you fit the TNT barrel and hop kit, it is inaccurate . It had an NPAS, which is fine but temperature plays such a big part in the VFC equation, that you will find it virtually impossible to know what your VFC is going to put out, until you chrono it on the day. I moved on to MWS, after owning 2 GHKs, which were good, but not in the same league as MWS. I have two MWS: One is an URGI DMR, fully upgraded with a G&P NPAS shooting 1.85 J on 0.45s, which stacks up in accuracy against my TM NGRS HK417 DMR - which is saying something. The other is an Archwick L119, which came fully upgraded with Guns Modify internals - like the URGI it is bloody good, and I have it set for CQB at 1.1J. The moral of the story is go for MWS, upgrade the nub, and fit a tight bore barrel from the onset, then take it from there...you will not be disappointed.

  10. Lovely gun. Makes me depressed for the early 2000s where I would buy and sell WA pistols for next to nothing because I got bored of them.

  11. Apparently it's the Ukraine soldiers not talking their hits. (I've read that they're using modern / Western manufactured plates in their rigs, and Russian ammo and AK's just can't penetrate it at all)

  12. Hey JimFromHorsham, If you are indeed, as your name suggest, from Horsham then you aren't to far away from me, I am in Clanfield, just to the South of Woking. If you ever find yourself up this way you are welcome to come and have put a mag or 2 through it at the house. I quickly fired a few shots yesterday, the first shot just went about 20 feet and I thought oh....... well thats dissapointing. Pulled the trigger again and the next shot appeared to warp into another universe!!! Wow it has some power and was completely dead straight without touching the hop up! Holy poop balls this is going to be fun at the field. I will get the Chrono out today and see what it is shooting at on .4s

  20. Stripping off after my last game, I pulled my Emerson G3 shirt (which I was only wearing for the second time) up over my head, somehow causing the complete and utter devastation of the wicking section. The thing looked like Freddy Krueger's wank sock, and my son was pissing himself at the look on my confused face and the handful of shredded cloth I was clutching. Not wanting to throw another £40-odd quid down the drain, I spent a bit extra and ordered a CUTS shirt from Platatac, having recently bought some Dax trousers from them and being very impressed. The shirt seems to be of the same high quality as the trousers; tough material, solid zips, no loose threads and a really breathable wicking section. This definitely won't be the last purchase I make from them. Well played Australia. Very well played indeed 👏

  21. I say you've done the right thing and ended the sale as there's more red flags than a Soviet mayday parade I will. If he's an ex copper and a para legal then I'm a former porn star and next pope @1967PF44got any thing to say? Or should we all assume you're an untrustworthy cunt?
