Why would they, when it's packed to capacity every year? I'm very much of the opinion that everyone should know (or be able to find out) what to expect, and if that's not what they're after, just find something else to do that weekend and let those who enjoy it enjoy it. There would have to be some sort of monumental life-altering cock-up to surprise me now.5 points

If you like FilmSim with no attitude and no stitch counters try the Cold War and Vietnam scenes as done by Gunman Airsoft. Think the site is FilmSim.co.uk for a list of upcoming events. A cheap way into Cold War filmsim is an AK and a KLMK oversuit. Cheap Soviet belt and ammo pouch and done. Probably get this for under £502 points -

I would say around the £400 mark. Basing on a few others for sale here and other sites / discords, that seems to be the sweet spot.1 point -
Age isn't always the best way to judge who's fit to play. I know plenty of youngish people who haven't done any exercise since PE at school and who get out of breath walking up the stairs, I also know people in their 50's who are in excellent shape and who could run rings round most of us.1 point

Working in the local Glue Factory, I’ve noticed they are very strict, they have very specific rules you have to adhere to.1 point -
Sorry to hear that you felt that the nae/naf was a wasted weekend. What would you have been doing that you gave up in favour of the event? I only ask as a means of gauging how disappointed you were by forgoing an alternative activity. I guess it depends how you expect the weekend to go or if you have preconceived ideas that don't quite pan out. We have been going for seven years now and I have never failed to have a great time and to come away smiling and looking forward, god willing lol,to the next one. Ok so some people like to have a drink get loud but I've never seen any nastyness unlike any weekend in a large town after the pubs turn out. The game play is as good as you want it to be. Missions and objectives are well thought out and fully explained in your game pack and it's your choice how you want to play them. Hit taking is no worse than many sites around the UK.I can say that anybody I hit over the weekend called it and verbally acknowledged a good kill. Another plus point for me is the vast amount of items for sale at great prices. I love a good haggle lol. Regards1 point

How does the Ofcom License Work?
Rogerborg reacted to Pseudotectonic for a topic
I guess most if not all of the radio users in airsoft will be on PMR446. Which is the license free walkie-talkie 16 channels. If you are running the £75 business radio license, you will be on totally different channels from the PMR446 and any person will also have to shell out the £75 and have their radio also programmed to tune into your particular channel. Which seems totally unnecessary unless you really really want to stop most people from listening in.1 point -

Yes - a 5 year cycle is correct If it’s Pi marked then look for the summary markings (example below) But there could be a variation on total life. The default has always been 15 year maximum, but a new ISO design could have an unlimited lifetime. However many manufacturers are producing ISO cylinders with a 15 year life marked, so don’t have unlimited life (I will turn a blind eye to a good condition Pi aluminum that has 5 years printed rather than 10 which will run off, but won’t be turning a blind eye to fibre markings) There should be another set of markings, like on here: Note on the top dial that this still has air in it, but it is currently out of test and cannot be refilled. Near the middle is the Pi gate symbol, so it’s UK & European legal To the right of that is ‘2010/01’ (manufactured January 2010, and was therefore due for testing in 2015) Left and down a bit is the final date of 2025/01 (therefore it becomes a paperweight from February 2025) The big yellow sticker shows testing at July 2016 (which means it could not be used for all of 2015 and half of 2016, and also that the test expired in July 2021) I can technically use the air that is in there, but cannot fill it as the test has expired. When I get around to testing I will not get a further 5 years as it’s final date is 2025 I’m going to say that they are wrong Under 48ci and I agree with them The other point they might have meant could be that with the cost of new vs testing that it’s not worth testing a 48ci aluminum The guru is Trevor of HPAC (There is a technical element on the legal status ….. TPED compliance affects the filling and transporting) If you’re not commercial (and do not have a company car) then you can wiggle your way out of transporting If you manage to self fill then that’s down to you, but a site cannot (should not) permit you to fill an out of date cylinder Back in the day some paintball sites turned a blind eye to scuba self fills in the car park of US specification fibre cylinders - they would refuse it at the site fill station but ignore use on the field1 point

Eh. If it's mint, and you really wanted one, with that stock, and extra mags, and don't want to do a 5 minutes per mag operation, it's maybe a bit cheaper than buying new. It's not like airsoft warranties are more than a coin-flip anyway. TM, innit, u git wut u pay4.1 point

Not unless you've changed out the stock one. The factory snot-grease might have turned into wax, the trigger contacts could be just barely contacting, or the motor might be very tired. Dive in, I'm sure you can save it.1 point -

58 here. With age comes wisdom. You dont need to run around like a teenager when you can out strategy them We play shoot em ups on the PC every Tuesday, us oldies, our sons and grandkids, they thrash us every week with their better reactions. So we took the youngsters to play airsoft. They were slaughtered!!, unfit, no tactics, not used to carrying a weight (a rifle is not like a mouse or game controller). In short it was a bit of a shock to them and great merryment was had by the dads1 point -

I actually think they should double the minimum age. No under 25's, at least a three day induction course, six months of banks statements and a permission slip signed by your wife/partner. If you're not married/living with your partner, you can't play. Save the space for those of us who have a legitimate reason to leave the house at 6am on a weekend.1 point -
