I don't even have an mws, but scrolling through the forum on my phone it previews part of the last reply, the text above was what I saw😳, needless to say I had to click on it to get some context, otherwise I'd have probably had bad dreams tonight lol

  5. All I can think about is that this Fps isn't legal in our country and its legal in the country "its being shipped to" Does that mean I can have a bag of cocaine in the UK and ship it Columbia because its legal there? No..... 😂

  7. Ahoy and welcome, and that all sounds perfectly sensible (and therefore no fun for us ) You're rather spoiled for choice at the moment, in that budget. If you want something that'll feel significantly different from a rental AEG (but don't want to go GBBR or HPA) then you're looking at trick triggers. A Specna Arms Edge 2.0 with a GATE Aster, or an ARP-556 with its 3 round burst option can both be had in budget, and have plenty happy owners. The ARP is a shortie though, and something a little offbeat that fits the longer-barrelled brief would be an M14, e.g. the CYMA CM.032 which can be had for well under budget. You could (but wouldn't necessarily have to) spend that on an aftermarket barrel and hop rubber, plus loads of mags. Comes with a basic fire control system, but owners report that they perform well, and it would make a nice change from M4s and AKs. However the reality is that at the moment you can only buy what's in stock, and I'd caution that applies to magazines too - it's surprisingly hard to find even stuff like shortie M4 mags, so I'd get a package of in-stock gear in your basket or baskets before committing. Aside, your text is appearing as black for me, I don't know if you set that deliberately. I'd suggest not, as this site has a dark mode, and should be left to decide text colour unless you're making some point.

  9. If you don't mind the looks/ergonomics, the P90 really is as compact as you can get and with a small suppressor you can also have a longer inner barrel.

  10. I don't see the issue here. Have you never been shot in the forehead, bloody hurts!

  11. I hate those cut down M4/AR things 🤮 There's only one clear choice... The MP5 SD 😁 The sliding stock is best for versatility. And having the suppressor means you can fit a longer inner barrel if you want to up the fps a bit.

  12. Do you want the "all airsoft guns are basically the same" meme? Because this is how you get the all airsoft guns are basically the same meme. They'll all be fine, they'll all work to within skill+luck% of each other, so you might as well get the one that you like the look of. I can't see any bad choices there. Obviously, the right choice is an MP5K, but you'll get there eventually.

  13. Heresy? I'll have you know this noble Salamander is committed only to the Emperor, you mere Cadian Bolter-Fodder! Nice to admit you secretly desire one too though. I think everyone does really, especially sci fi buffs like me, otherwise they're in denial. *Awaits incoming flak from multiple disgusted AFUK members enraged by such slanderous talk...* In all seriousness to the OP I reckon a broken stock is no reason to bin a decent RIF. I'd chop bits off and do a shorty project. Saves cash on yet another RIF purchase and it's fun to customise.

  15. Now have one. Only used it once so far, so limited information Pro’s Excellent build quality Slide well finished, not sure what the finish is, but it’s not a paint. Con’s Trigger is very heavy, haven’t got a gauge but would guess about 7+ lbs Mag is slow to load, speed loader is supplied and needed. If you try to squeeze the trigger very slowly you can hear a small gas release, don’t think this a fault though, just down to the no hammer design. Definitely a collectors piece and not suitable for the skirmish field.

  16. Kind of related to the post above. Have you thought about your playing style? For example I like the look of the G3 but found, despite mine having decent performance, I couldn't get on with it as I like to go sneaking through bushes etc and the long size was a hindrance

  17. Welcome. Sounds like you've done some good reading 👍 The CYMA M14 (CM032) is select fire (semi/auto) but you'd have to change the spring to reduce power if wanting to use auto. You could change back and lock to semi if you want to go sniper/marksman. (The EBR might be easier to go that route) As Roger said, now is not a good time to buy as stock is very low on everything. Have a look for some threads about 'best' new toys to start with. It really is about choosing the look you want and then deciding on the best one for bang to buck ratio. (And then trying to find one in stock)

  18. Hi Guys, Thanks for reading so far...... I'm a pro bicycle mechanic by trade and it's a similar scenario once you get over a certain price point - the bikes are all good - just pick the one you like the look of the most. Glad it's the same scenario with airsoft and no one has said anything bad about any of the guns listed. Really really liking the ARP-566 and looks like it's going to be the winner though (thanks @Mr. No_Face). Yes @Rogerborg - it was a Galaxy G.5M - tested in the garden and the metal stock inner tube sheared right off as I was starting my first CQB session last week - never been banged or dropped either. Also, the selector switch sometimes went to full auto, or nothing at all, but I read this happens to a few with the similar switch. Love the size and style of the gun though. It was still under warranty though so returned it last week - just waiting for the refund now. Regards, Pat.

  20. Like you I use custom molded when I'm riding, and before that I used foams, I've always preferred helmets with lots of venting and the wind noise is killer long term. I do love the bang and booming of pyro and I'm surprised how many people I see playing that don't use hearing protection, I treat mine like eye pro. Once it's gone, it's gone kind of thinking. On the peltor front though I certain recommend the gel cups, they are so much better than the foam.

  21. Reminds me of many years ago, before there was an airsoft L85, the owner of Ground Zero built one by putting AUG parts in to a deactivated one. He couldn't see the problem...

  22. Genuine AK. Note the weathering is "polished" I see too many guns scrubbed with coarse sandpaper, often in places where they wouldn't wear.

  23. Can't possibly justify it, but do want, and have some stock alerts set up. I mean, surely I need an emergency-backup-loaner-reserve RIF. [Reaches for the heresy-solving flamer. The heavy flamer.] Also quite want though. Speaking of which, is it the Galaxy G.5M that's broken? This utter heresy? If so, good, that stock would have been in the bin the moment I bought it. If that's an MP5K variant (V3 gearbox, no way to slide the arms of a sliding stock into it) you could fit an MP5K end cap if you can find one. Or if it's a standard MP5, fit a sliding stock. Better yet, just file off the stump, fill the hole with epoxy, rattlecan black, and enjoy it as it's meant to look. If I see it in the classifieds at a reasonable price, I might have it for that purpose myself.

  24. That's what's stopping me from ordering right now. I don't have much luck with in-ears, either for audio or hearing protection, and ended up silicone-moulding custom earplugs for biking. It's amazing how many bikers don't even consider hearing protection. It's a very slow, steady damage from wind noise (and open cans) rather than from one big obvious bang, so it's easier to ignore. I should actually just use my moulded plugs for airsoft, it's not like anyone says anything worth hearing anyway. Oh, and Mk9s and 12 gauge magflash blanks can sod right off, there is absolutely no need for that level of noise. As with 40-Mikes and "no full auto in buildings bro" wanker guns, they're a lot more fun for those sending them out than those experiencing them coming in.

  25. Could be a nice project. Stockless superCQB MP5? Or chop the barrel and make it an MP5K.

  27. NUPROL!!! A make that is regarded by many as a swear word here. Probably needs a full charge. If it's LiPo I'd expect a healthy RoF. How slow is "slow"? How many RPS do you estimate you're currently getting? PB recommend a 7.4V unit so you should be OK.

  28. Cheers. Matches my loadout, which is entirely OD with the exception of black gloves and boots. Blends in well with the evergreen woodland at the site I play at. All done with a couple of tins of Halfords Camo spray paint. Two coats and a couple of hours drying time in the summer. Job done. P.s. loving the XM177. Very nice 👌

  33. If your thinking about hearing protection then do it, either in or over ear. I've tried the in ear units and they work though fit is tricky, for me i couldnt get it to hold and seal easily, and wasn't as good as it could be when it did sit so it would work loose then eventually fall out. In the end I when with the over the head, peltor sporttac, and i also got two aux cables, one mono, lives hooked into my rpc and mic. And the other I use for work plugged into my phone for audio books and they are great.

  34. I've never done concerts, I did a little bit of black powder reenactment years ago without damage, and I generally wear earplugs when biking other than for sub 40mph local shopping runs. Since this is recent, the most likely candidate I can think of is airsoft pyro. I'm just glad that ring tones can now be music or jingles (I use Star Trek computer clips) rather than "dring driiiing".

  36. They had them, but they've gone to the world's worst duct tape now because so many folk walked off site with the armbands. Area-66 were selling armbands but have stopped now because they've had a few walk-offs as well. I've still got gunk residue from the Biohazard tape on my tacticool beige base layer, thus the desire to find an alternative, ideally at less than £5 per arm per colour. I have of course lashed up some bands from red and blue electrical tape and spare stick-on velcro, but they're pretty gnarly even by my bodging standards, so I've got some 50mm coloured hook-n-loop tape on the way, which should go round each arm twice and give about 75mm / 3" of coverage. £6.35 for 1m each of red, blue and yellow is about as low as I could chisel the cost.

  38. I can't imagine truly trusting a retailers review of a product they stock. The same goes for most channels which have had the product sent to them for free and not even properly tested/used it, yet can't stop gushing over how amazing it "Phenomenal accuracy from this Raven Hi Capa. Here's me firing five shots, indoors and from three metres away."

  39. If I’m ‘weathering’ a plastic gun I use a flat silver and black paint pen , almost immediately after applying the paint I wipe off with kitchen paper and then take the rest that I want off with very fine grit wet’n’dry and wire wool . I also use this pic if I’m weathering an AK as a resource but it’s useful what ever long arm your aging .👍

  41. Ain't that the truth. Last Christmas I gave my son a telescope. He's now into astrophotography and has a set up that nasa want to borrow. £300 pounds on a 75mm dia filter to pick out hydrogen alpha gas in the wizard nebula billions of miles away. I'll stick to my 2x flip to side scope lol Regards

  42. Joking aside though, why? Just why Coral? Sure, I bought a two toned plastic CYMA M4 off the buzz from my first day, but it cost £75, it was painted over, and the paint was off before my second day. Even if you just want it as a wall hangar, even if you can't persuade someone to sell you a RIF (more on that in a moment), why wouldn't you factor in getting it repainted. It's not even gangster to do so, because it's not an imitation of an actual make or model of modern firearm (whether existing or discontinued), so there's no VCRA offence committed by either sale or modification. I look at that horror and all I can think is "My God, someone please save it." Wait, was it... was it bought to troll people? Because if so, mission accomplished.

  43. note the lesson kids- us in the airsoft community get that 2-toning is a necessary evil to allow us to keep pewing, so when you turn up nobody is going to judge you if your g&g raider is bright blue, trust us it's not as bad as what some folks voluntarily do to their guns. unless you 2-tone something nice, then we're gonna judge you to be the heretic that you are.

With all the shit been going on in my life past 8mths I’ve definitely developed a “fuck it , if it makes you happy do it !” Attitude(I used to be quite take my time lets see how things go , but after loosing my oldest friend and having a bit of a near call my self I’ve realized you can’t count on tomorrow even happening let alone plans coming to fruition) SO t’other night whilst wandering aimlessly through Tinter’Web I came across a Cyma mosfet edition XM177 on Bullseye , now always had a bit of a crush on that particular AR so I bought it , and when I got in this afternoon it was sat there waiting for me ! 👍 Oh so much a happy chappy ! 😍

Damn, didn't know Paypal now do this, if they start rolling this out on low transactions where items are sent via non tracking services, could cause all sorts of price hikes.
