I hear ya. I’m a bit of a car nut and am fortunate enough to have a few. Sold my defender in March for more than I paid for it new, I now have a kitted out Discovery 3. I also have a T5, and there is a Mercedes Vito on the drive begging to be converted into a camper. I went away from turning the car into a overlander and actually purchased a trailer to do the job. Pic attached.3 points -
Off topic, but I'm playing my Friday night joker. Many years ago, when I was too young and dumb to know what couldn't be done, I cobbled together a T&J Locust Lotus 7 replica kit car. it consisted of a poorly welded ladderframe angle-iron chassis, an aluminium skinned plywood (yes, wood) body tub, and various random Mk II Escort, Cortina and Triumph Sprint and Dolomite parts. I shudder to recall the bodges that I did to get it running, but my God you knew you were driving it. Something like this, although mine never looked that complete. I ended up literally giving it away between breakdowns because my conscience couldn't stomach taking money from someone in return for that absolute death trap (the seatbelts were bolted into the wooden body tub...). I fully expected it to be in a ditch / in pieces / on fire, or some combination of the three within months. Tonight, out of sheer random curiosity, I just bashed the registration into https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk and love a duck... An actual thing that I made with my own two hands a quarter of a century ago is still on the road, MOT'd, taxed and insured, and according to the MOT record is racking up a couple of hundred miles a year, every year. Just... wow. I am in equal[*] parts horrified and delighted. [*] 90% delighted.2 points

Definitely. Got to get my work life balance back to an appropriate level first, haven’t even been Airsofting once this year. Haven’t been on holiday in 8 years. Apparently, I have a an affliction, when I have free time I have to fill it, when my times all taken up, I complain I don’t have any time. That’s BritLogic.2 points -

Will do, much appreciated Latest purchase pts eps stock, no more battery fitting issues pts NGRs mags prefer Tm ones but can't argue with 50% more capacity a castle nut wrench which I have so far resisted the temptation to use as those pixies can stay put for the moment The used tissue, that's just for those neat freaks who can't stand an untidy background 😀 And I have a cold at the moment!2 points -

The site was a disused ww2 fort and it had loads of pitch black tunnels and rooms around But yeah, #daynoodles Fucking hell, precisely all of these! I've built up a habit of shielding my teeth with my lips and when in stressful situations/cqb I tense my lips. Shooting real steel also makes you tense up youre entire upper boddy including your facial muscles, so I think all of that combined makes me confident enough not to wear facial protection (just a balaclava at most to keep debris away). Been playing for 11 years and still not a single tooth shot yet!1 point

Email AP direct. My G36 one snapped in transit. They gave me the exact size needed info and sent one out free of charge. Really good customer service! Edit: ahh you got the bullgear, ignore me!1 point

Now me I absolutely detest the ‘afghan’ paint jobs , I’ve never seen one that looks ‘authentic’ (not saying there arn’t any out there) but all the ones I’ve ever seen looked obviously artificially aged and so gash !🤢 But I do agree the MCB paint job is a cracking job , even more so as it’s your first attempt at painting , well done good sir !1 point -
Got the Bullgear Hop-up for my A&K Mk46 Machine Gun. Nice of them to include some tiny Haribo. Only problem is the unit does not come with an o-ring to secure the hop adjustment wheel..and the o-ring one on my standard A&K hopup snapped. I've no idea what size or where to get one, other than wandering around B&Q I guess. Anyone got any ideas?1 point

One of my more expensive investments, taking my love of Tags that step further & went for the Tag Innovations ML36 launcher with standalone chasis. Does away with the need of launching shells / filling station etc. meaning less to carry in the field I do not need anymore weapons I do not need anymore weapons I do not need anymore weapons I do not need anymore weapons I do not need anymore weapons1 point -
Cheers might do a Friday game next month but 11pm finish is too late for me with over an hour drive and work the next day. Edit Their laser policy might be a deal breaker for me don't want some daft cunt laserin my eyes out with some chinese laser. Ban them they aren't required for airsoft and are too dangerous. Lasers and Strobes: Do not deliberately shine lasers or strobing lights at peoples faces. Keep in mind that with the nature of the dark areas of the site, people will have torches and you will get them shone in your face from time to time1 point

I'm a big believer in the carrot rather than the stick, but lets be honest 99% of the ads that end up on this thread are either brand new members or not so new but have a very low post count, usually all sales posts, if they choose not to look at other areas of the forum, I reckon they're fair game when they post up overpriced or kit in dubious condition. as for sending pm's pointing out pricing errors etc, I've done it elsewhere plenty of times, always politely, the response is almost always arsey 😉1 point -
They would of earned the name H20 🤣 I poked Wargames centre and they still run walk on airsoft events. I agree if you don't advertise you won't be in taking people at a good rate and people will eventually lose interest in the hobby but it's too easy to play arm chair general, they are running a site how works for them. It also shows they aren't trying to cram as many people as a fire marshal finds acceptable in to their site so I can respect that.1 point
