Not really it’s all in the preparation ! I made a couple of different shaped paper templates before I formed it so I had a pretty good idea where I was going before I made it . @RogerborgThe ones I make for TRMR’s don’t need the shockcord they hold fine , this one (my first attempt at a Dynatec) I’ve put the bungee on as with out it could ‘jump out’ if I’m hurling myself about but I still want to be able to deploy it as quick as possible so it’s just under enough tension to hold it in but not enough that I can’t pull it off easily and just pop the nade out . 👍

Thanks Well that's pretty much all of my collection. Even the M4 looks like something completely different. This is the eventual outcome.

I do like it when someone bucks the fashion and get somthing a bit different from all the clone M4/AK/evo that everyone has .👍

Finally got the longer outer barrel through from Hong Kong for the ARX160. Didn't realise the old short one was plastic and the new long one is proper heavy metal. Took the opportunity to install a new ZCI 400mm 6.02 inner barrel and Prommy purple bucking. The hop unit is very basic and doesn't use a traditional nub, but much like the G36 SRC unit it uses plastic/metal as a nub. Cant wait to try it out!

Hmm, thinking about it, mine may actually be too tight. It takes a good hard tug to... urgh, filth. I might slacken it off and try a bungie based solution - thanks for the idea. Which I shall claim as my own if it works.

That's a nice job. I like the cord, but should note that I've never needed any extra retention on my Kydex holster for either a TRMR or a Dynatex. Shaping them round the BFG, then removing it and reheating so that the holster contracts slightly seem to work for me. Yours looks tacticooler though.

Necro-ing this as I have modded my S Thunder Launcher to auto open from pressing the chamber release... Drilled a small hole where I've put the arrow in the picture and installed a spring from a washing line peg which has enough push to open the chamber but not enough to miss-align the chamber from the firing pin. 5504CB70-9E66-4EB8-8859-548D74840F4F.MP4

My Rifle is having a bit of an identity crisis, inspired by the TM Pro Hunter, And maybe a little from the new Jurassic World trailer It started all black, then became a bit camo'd And today has transformed to ... I stripped all the Camo tape off the scope and sprayed it with some Plastikote Brilliant Metallic chrome effect paint. Its not chrome at all, its very flat, but still retains a metallic look. Unfortunately you cant lacquer it as it turns the paint a dull grey akin to primer. The barrel and receiver of the gun was blinged up with some Aluminium tape. Its used by builders who need alloy tape for stuff. It only cost £5 for 10m and is pretty good. I got the idea from watching a Tested Video on Youtube, apparently Hollywood prop makers use it to make chrome things. A quick bit of brasso and it can polish up quite shiny, or a quick once over with wire wool gives it a matt stainless steel look. Its just like tin foil, but thicker and sticky backed. just lay it in an smooth it out. It does wrinkle if not careful and my first attempt Its not perfect when you get close up, but it is non permanent and just peels off. I'm working on a velcro veil made of a shemagh and scrim to cover it up for when i do want to play stealthily. What do you think, I like it, but i'm not sure i'm going to keep it forever.
