A Noobs HPA Engine Build - My Wondrous Journey
Hef Legend reacted to proffrink for a topic
Looking good. If you don't want the hassle, the Redline FlexConnect goes straight onto your macro line with a push fitting so no disassembly or anything - a little more durability for about £15. Certainly a good deal. I was looking at one until I switched over to an EU QD, and Beesting said they'd 'have them in stock again next week' (that was about 3 weeks ago).1 point -

The correct term is you are not a UKARA registered player, but to be honest so many people say they have got ukara or that they need to get ukara thats its kind of become an accepted term. It is incorrect like BigAl said but forgivable.Just never call it a licence, thats like an airsoft deadly sin.1 point -

Hello and welcome. UKARA is a retailers association, what you mean is you don't have a valid defence yet. I'm not being pedantic or picking on you it's just that there is too many people out there repeating incorrect information about the VCRA. Enjoy your new hobby and if you need and help or have any questons, search on here first, if you don't find your answer post up and someone will help.1 point -
No idea what half of that was advertising but iv just bought all of them! Who says sales marketing doesnt work eh?1 point

Bit of a warning to anyone that bought the Baofeng radio from that one seller on AliExpress recently - they've been found to have 'suspicious activity'. If you've been asked to open a dispute with them then don't - I've been getting strange messages from them and recently AliExpress froze their account to investigate. You'll get a refund soon if there are any signs of fraud. Here's the e-mail: All legit by the way. My name and order number were in the e-mail but I've just pasted the important stuff.1 point

Yes I do have good boots, hiking and an old pair from Afghan, plus blister kit. If I get geographically challenged then it will become a recce of the area. I expect the scenarios this Sunday will force players along set routes and choke points. Looking forward to it, just hope no rain.1 point -

FireSupport & Zero One are the best/most popular UK airsoft retailers. Both sell all the kit/bb's etc, just don't buy bulldog and the rest for sale on these sites will be ok. Don't get a sniper (yet, perhaps once you've played awhile, are more familiar with woodland skirmishes and can upgrade one to make it vaguely worthwhile, and seen them being used enough to decide if a few metres extra range and sitting in a bush is worth it (I and the majority of players think not, hence why woodland skirmish isn't just a sniper battle)) As for M4, I'd recommend either an ICS (starts with 'sportline' or plastic bodied versions) or G&G (starts with Combat Machine). FireSupport stock more ICS, Zero One stock more G&G. They're generally about £150-£300 and considered the best place to start, as it's an M4 so can upgrade/swap bits out all you like and they're good base to start from. I personally prefer ICS If you got money to burn, it'd still prob be best to get one of these M4 first and get a feel for the game and exactly what gun you like best, can always sell it when you're fully familiar with the huge range of airsoft guns on the market and their comparitive pro's and cons. No-one seems to end up using the same type of weapon they first bought let alone the gun itself, so best to wait before splashing serious cash. P.S. Have a look in the guides section of the forums, there's actually some well written new-starter guides in there.1 point -
FMA helmet and few bits to go with it thanks to 2 of you....all good though, still share the luv! haha and a bonus, changing jobs, slight rate increase and wife back at work getting more than i planned! ......still, G&G or ICS as a first RIF, its the law! haha1 point

The fan is not powerful enough, so i bought a second pair and added the both fans to one set - the trouble is that they have an electronic controller rather than just a battery and switch, so i was thinking i would be able to bodge them together onto a new battery pack with a single switch, maybe even overdrive them a bit, actually i've had to use the controllers side by side in a molle pouch. Sounds ok, eh? Well, the controllers have some kind of timer element and they do not work in synch, one seems to work better than the other... So my advice is don't bother. For me: Soviet Afghan War era Winter Mitts - £8.30 posted from Doncaster ~ eBay 50g CT-2 Teflon Grease - £3.99 posted ~ eBay Oh yeah, and i ballsed up my order to redzone.com.pl - i ordered a Berezka camo helmet cover for 6B27 helmet instead of 6B7 1M - i was just about to hit send on a snotty email to 'em when i realised it was my mistake - phew! So I've just put in an order for the correct one - £10-odd posted from Poland1 point

I have given my opinion in the video and I would be happy to retype it for you if it would help I'm a milsim player and I enjoy it over the standard skirmish type game as explained in the video also if it helps here is the general kit I use explained below - I don't think what I have spent is excessive at all ?1 point -

Opinions?
ImTriggerHappy reacted to Esoterick for a topic
I'm not sure if you were replying to me but I wanted to categorically avoid saying that shorter barreled weapons are just as accurate and have the same range as longer barreled ones as I had the feeling someone would come along and say "not with gas guns" or something similar Probably my bad for not being clearer. The biggest issue I find with longer rifles is it's more fiddly to get them in and out of spots quickly as the barrel tends to clip the tree, wall or whatever you are up against. On my HK416 I took the barrel extension off to shorten the outer barrel, downside is very occasionally you are behind fiddly cover where it's nice to rest your barrel on but a shorter barrel can prevent this.1 point -

Basically its not the size of your weapon its how you use it. Unless its its really stubby then you might struggle hitting the right target.😉1 point -

ImTriggerHappy reacted to Mr Monkey Nuts for a topic
Which is true in real life, but i don't think it is necessarily true to airsoft so much. Range is mostly affected by FPS and hop up, barrel length is a minor factor. Two guns with identical FPS, but different length barrels will mostly shoot the same ranges. You do not need an 8" gun in CQB any more than you need an 14" gun in woodlands, I have ran my 18" Mk12 indoor cqb and its great, i have ran my 8" G5 outdoors and its great. The size of the gun dictates your tactics, not its range, yes its easier with a short gun, but a carbine is also perfectly suitable for both indoors and outdoors.1 point -

WHO IS JACK SCHITT? For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt'! Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt. Now when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt', you can correct them. Sincerely, Crock O. Schitt1 point -
