Personally I'm a 50 Shade Of FDE fan and the recent HKs with many many tones are great imo, my TM SCAR is very similar in that respect and I love it, but I think it's an acquired taste. I'd also move the light and optic further forward but obviously that's niff-naff kinda stuff. I would agree that particular rug with it's colours combined with the many colours of the gun just means there's a lot going on in that one specific photo, but the overall aesthetic of the rifle is absolutely top drawer for me personally. Impulse Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Since we were all discussing how wonderful the mp5k is to a new person, I thought I'd post mine now that the new buttplate had arrived. Will use a QD sling mount and a one-point sling done tight, so I can carry it around while sniping and just quickly unclip it when I need to use it. I found a YouTube build series and they had to fit a spacer, as it doesn't support it unlike the AEG Thompson are you doing anything with the shottie? The base gun I was gifted came with 2 outer barrels the original and a steel one. I've cut the boss off the original that the hop unit fits into and installed that back into the receiver. At the moment the large block that holds the outer barrel is secured by its bolts through the body . I plan to drill and tap into the block so I can bolt it to the bar that would hold the front hand guard on the thompson.) That is fixed perminantly on my base gun due to the damege it recieved before it came to me. ) probably not strictly necisary tbh as everything feels very solid , but might as well. Johndaniel4863 Posted March 1, 2023 Share Posted March 1, 2023 Its a JG mate...had a few issues when it was first test fired but now chronos at a nice 270fps on .20 with hop set roughly at 20m which i wasnt expecting! Slapped an Autobot in there to see if it helps next time around. Amazing recoil with the steel RA Tech bolt at 150psi Real PTS BUIS, Strike stock and grip and a real Eotech slapped on top. Popular Post Impulse Posted March 4, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted March 4, 2023 (edited) "Take one out while the other's not looking" - Some guy in a video game circa 2007 I'm so happy this is working again. 55psi on the regulator has it firing between 1.112J at the lowest and 1.137J at the highest on .32s, so it's mega consistent and just where I need it for no MED shenanigans. I've semi-locked it, despite not being a "DMR" as it's meant to be an m21 sniper rifle, and the m21 was semi-auto only. Stubby mags are feeding flawlessly now, which is amazing as it means I don't need to run a chest rig as I can store 3 spare mags in a medium utility pouch (and they don't rattle around) and an Odin speedloader in another pouch, plus it makes it look very sniper-y and unique. I still have half a bag of .4s though, so I might rattle a few shots at 1.64J on the range (my local site's DMR limits) to see how it shoots there, but likelihood is I just keep it at 1.14J and keep the ability to point-blank, especially with how close we are to my local site growing some thick foliage through spring and becoming woodland CQB As the weather warms up, I might revert to my longest standing weapon combination: m21 sniper rifle and 1911 pistol is what I used to run when I played in Spain, because it's what I ran in CoD4 as a teenager Edited March 4, 2023 by Impulse SSPKali, PopRocket123, Lozart and 4 others 3 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
