Price includes paypal fees and postage. An as far as I can tell as new lct rpd machine gun. The box has been turned inside out for shipping at some point and taken some damage but the gun itself is in perfect nick. I have test fired it and tested the function of the drum mag and its all working as it should. Comes with the original paperwork, keychain thing and a spare set of trigger contacts as well as the gun and drum. Unfortunately my chrono kicked the bucket so I dont have a way to measure the power but by eye it seems fine. Will consider reasonable offers.1,100.00 GBP

Was just about to say this. I've used propane from day 1 of my first rif 15 years ago and never ever used silicone in the gas, not once had a issue with any guns. My we l85 has never had new seals in the nozzle or mags and it seals and runs beautifully. So I have always felt silicone in the gas is a myth that it's needed. But that's only my personal experience.2 points

There's some Airsoft gas that's silicon free, and it's generally better for the gun. The only place the silicon oil really goes is all over the hop and BB as it's fired. Modern guns use nitrile o-rings, which don't soak up silicon oil at all. They also just don't dry out like that, but do benefit from grease to help them slip into place to seal better. It was a common belief that silicon oil swells o-rings and helps them seal, mostly brought across from airguns which did historically use silicon o-rings. You can also get propane brands with basically no mercaptan additive. Bullfinch is the one I run.2 points -

Alternatively you could use a crane stock like the one @Lozart linked which should take a 2000-2600mah nun-chuck style battery that'll last all day (depending on how trigger happy your boy is I suppose 😅) You can get something like this in a 7.4 or 11.1 config - the stock tube itself usually fits a cell if you use 11.1s https://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-2600mah-25c-continuous-discharge-cranestock-lipo-battery.html You can also get 9.6v NIMH bats in the same config if you run those.1 point

I've had the same thought as you, and decided to take the plunge. I installed it into one of the Raven AK74s which have a similar, if not directly copied design from the later CYMA AK models. It was a little tight compared to the lonex Hop unit I had in previously but it did fit and feed fine. I've yet to actually skirmish with it, so I can't tell you how it actually performs but it does at least fit and feed ok.1 point

Overvoluming won't cause power inconsistencies, it'll be accuracy inconsistencies. Basically, if there's too much air, then what happens when the BB leaves the barrel is that there is still high pressure air behind the BB which then escapes with it and rushes past the BB, adding a bit of spin to the BB in a random direction depending on how the air happens to escape in that shot, which won't always be the same. The amount of spin is tiny and far less than what the hop up is doing, but any random spin is going to potentially create poor accuracy since we're firing a <0.5g spherical projectile at 2.3J or less and using backspin to abuse the Magnus effect to float them out further; it doesn't take much to impact our shots. I'm also not an expert physicist, just a long-time airsoft sniper who probably has a bit of the 'tism when it comes to long range airsoft shooting...1 point

The good: + 47cc cylinder volume + Weighted piston out of the box with weights to customise + One-piece receiver and barrel + Quick change spring + Firing pin indicator (I think this is underrated) + Great air seal out of the box (Negative Airsoft's video displays it pretty well) + Comes at a lot of standard powers, with FPS rings and the weighted piston it will be easy to really fine tune + Fake mag that lets you carry a spare The bad: - Proprietary hop rubber - 47cc is likely going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overvolumed if I'm reading it right and it has a 385mm inner barrel, which could cause inconsistencies. It feels like it was designed for the full thrust kit, not 6mm. The ugly: - The stock looks disgusting 🤮 Honestly, on paper it looks pretty good, and I hope it's good because I like competition, and the Tac-41 has been looking too comfortable on the "best overall bolt action" throne in my opinion. The two points it really lets itself down for me isn't even the appearance. It's the proprietary hop rubber and the fact that it's likely too overvolumed for the UK market. They should've just made it VSR rubbers out of the box rather than forcing a conversion kit for it. I reckon with the VSR conversion kit they're producing it'll be decent, but I'm still wary of that overvoluming. No idea if it's actually going to be any good as you don't know until you see it in the wild, but on paper it has all the makings of a good bolt action sniper rifle. I also don't care about 50rd mags. Action Army already did those for VSRs (though I wasn't a fan there either as mine had feeding issues), you can get 110rd mags for the Tac-41, and I use 10rd mags in my m24 and don't really ever get into trouble because of it. If you need to rattle off shot after shot to hit a target, then maybe sniping isn't for you 😂1 point -

Tbh I've never been sniping and needed 30 rounds back to back. If the gun is accurate generally I'm shooting much less. It does seem quite interesting overall, especially as it looks like a pretty solid out of the box sniper. I know, I know, you can make a Tac41 shoot like a laser 500m flat etc, etc. The amount of times I see someone get a bolty without realising how much work and aftermarket it takes to be like [Insert Popular YouTuber Here] makes me think this will be a decent suggestion. It's a shame it looks the way it does though.1 point -
To me it's so close (on paper) to beating the TAC-41 platform but just falls at the last hurdle, however I do think it has to be the best VSR 10 "style" platform (I say "style" as it's not 100% compatible as it has some proprietary parts). Personally I'd discount the 50 rnd mags as game changing as Action Army did this a long time ago with theirs. What interests me most is the air volume, so what the bolt pull is like considering you'd not need too powerful a spring.1 point

Hear is my gun wall I put together with all my Cold War NATO guns. From top to bottom. 1) originally a A&K m240. It's has been converted into a British spec L7a2 GPMG using a blend of real steel parts and custom machined parted and the internals have been replaced with a Daytona gun recoil engine. 2) originally a VFC LAR. Ongoing project, It's being converted into a British/ commonwealth spec l1a1 SLR using a mix of real steel parts and custom machine steel outer barrel and flash eliminator. 3) Vfc M16a1, a recent addition so it's completely bone stock. For now. 3) originally a WE L85A2. It is now a custom built L86A2 that have been put together using a ICS l86 AEG parts and a custom machine outer barrel extension and replica gas piston and gas block. 4) WE L85a2 that is in the process of being converted into a A1 spec replica. Iv machined a A1 clocking handle and I have the a1 front hand guard but I Still need to make a gas block that will allow me to fit the replacement real steel hand guard. The bayonet is a real surplus SA80 one. 5) WE Apache that's got a SLR grip fitted as a fore grip. Not sure what I want to do with replica yet. Probably going to do some sort of operation dynamo SAS type build 6) Originally a WE xm177e1 it's been built to resemble the Car-15 used by Danny archer at the end of the film blood diamond. If you know you know. 7) VFC G3A3. This one is is almost stock. It has an adjustable valve fitted but that's all. I intend to get a nice set of bundeswehr furniture for it. Pistols I'm not a big pistol lover so only got 3 1) WE browning Hi power mk1 2) WE Browning Hi power mk3 3) WE Sig P226 If your reading this thanks for talking the time to read what iv written. Firesupport https://www.firesupport.uk/ If you are looking for great prices on Tokyo Marui and other products or you are looking for upgrade parts for your AEG, Shotgun, GBBR or GBB Pistol then Firesupport is the place to look. We stock over 16,000 products, we have over 200 different brands on our system. We try to set prices to be competitive with other shops or better. We have an amazing tech called Ian , he has a great knowledge of airsoft guns and parts needed to upgrade them. We only recommend upgrades that we would do personally rather than sell a load of parts that would make no difference. We sell, repair, upgrade and service all airsoft guns except HPA and some low cost Chinese models where spare parts are impossible to obtain. Emails are usually answered within a few hours and bar a few exceptions within a day. Most days the phone is answered quickly, however occasionally there are some days we have less staff at work and there is not always someone available to answer the phone. We get some great reviews on trustpilot https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/fire-support.co.uk and facebook https://www.facebook.com/FiresupportShop/reviews?locale=en_GB reviews. If you need original parts for your gun that you can't find anywhere and its a brand we deal with then we can special order direct from the manufacturer, the prices will be higher but that's dues to high postage costs, even on a part that does not cost much. We try to deal with people as we would like to dealt with, returns and refunds are usually dealt with quickly. All the products we sell on our web site that say they are in stock are actually kept in stock in our shop. We do not have a "European Warehouse" where products are ordered in when sold in our shop and you have to then wait 2-3 weeks for delivery. Products are usually despatched within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) of the day they are ordered. Occasionally we have a stock error (maybe once a week) where we then contact the customer and can change the order, refund the missing item or provide a full refund. Need it quickly then you need to choose the Next Day service and order before 12pm and we post it on a 24 hour service the same day. We get regular deliveries of products and loads of new products every year, over a 1000 new products have been added to the web site in the last year. Please see for latest updates https://www.firesupport.uk/new-products/latest-updates.html broken down by supplier and date. and for what's new see https://www.firesupport.uk/new-products/coming-soon.html broken down by what's new with a category per month. Cringe in Airsoft
lokkers reacted to Emergencychimps for a topic
I find people who criticize others for blanking their faces in pictures cringe. Having spent a long time in in house recruitment for some pretty massive and well known companies, you'd be amazed at the things I've seen used for not hiring someone, so a picture of them holding a "gun" isn't something id want to be tracked back to me. I like the pics etc, I just don't want them tracking back to me. Likewise sometimes it's a great picture and I'm just pulling a derp face that ruins it. I mean, how ridiculous would it be to have my career derailed and earnings reduced just so that my face can be in pictures from when I'm playing toy soldiers. Also, people who are so "not competitive" that they actively do things to be not competitive, like bright gun/gear or talking down people who do put effort in, especially when they aren't effective players themselves. I'm there to have fun and my version of fun isn't being a moving target,1 point -

Can, but choose not to There is either no legal requirement (unless the VCRA gets applied with no listed paintball defence) So for just an average random they can buy from a UKPSF member retailer for an extra £5, or go to a non UKPSF retailer (Edit - some sites / events provide a UKPSF discount, which has usually been the price of membership - two participating events and you’re quids in - or some sites / events charge a higher non membership price) If a ‘proper’ player, interested in being a member then it can be £15 for 5 years (Optionally if you can find it then pay a paintballers business to turn your digital card into a pretty metal card - or do as I do now and pay a few hundred ££ for my own sublimation setup and make my own - in a few decades that will work out cheaper) For a little subliminal advertising, the original UKPSF one man band provided player membership with public liability & injury insurance, with the membership fee going to the premiums. My original membership came as ‘free’ with a magazine subscription, so I was a member and insured for free. (The insurance wasn’t really worth anything for me as my employment sickness benefits were better, plus my other life/injury/sports insurance, so I would not qualify for anything but causing someone else’s injury) At a later date they added a free uninsured membership - basically to push up member numbers , so for a couple of years I did that. Numbers did go up, but didn’t really count to anything (such as Sport England recognition - on the list for decades, still not formal, but with the new-ish committee getting traction did get accepted for the Covid reopening - which then boosted numbers due to people seeing an outcome The free membership was scrapped for the current £5 1 year / £15 5 year - and insurance dropped, with fees now going to the UKPSF (no longer a one man band as he retired and handed the reigns over to a committee , which has gained traction) End of pointless advert of paintball membership to an audience of airsofters disguised as a history1 point

Logically where would that make any sense to even have as a law to begin with? Anyone who is parting with a RIF in exchange for money is applicable for potentially committing an offence under section 36 of the Violent Crime reduction act if due diligence outlined in section 37 is not exercised. It is the sellers responsibility, Established businesses or private sellers alike, to investigate the circumstances of which the RIF they are selling is going to be used under in any and all circumstances where a RIF is sold. Likewise, it is the seller who will be investigated and charged if breaches of the law occur with the RIF you sold them. Just so we are clear, the seller, be it a shop, or private individual, has the legal duty to: - Ensure the individual they are selling any sort of imitation firearm to, imitation marked or not, is over 18. - Ensure the individual they are selling a realistic imitation firearm to has a valid defense, such as, and ONLY those listed in section 37 of the VCRA, or any “Organised activity or event where relevant third party liability insurance is held” (where airsoft skirmishing comes into play, which would be our relevant defense, sadly also the same thing that is being used by cos players insurance). I would avoid giving legal advice on this matter until you’ve understood the law you’re consulting on, you run the risk of convincing someone into selling a RIF to Dennis the Menace and ruin our fun when the bubble raised legislators find out something vaguely firearm shaped can be owned on our dainty delicate little island.1 point
-
Do tell us which section of the VCRA states that it applies to ‘shops’ only https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/38/section/36 A defence does cover the shops back - it covers the shop against prosecution. You are correct that possession is not an offence under the VCRA. But a private sale is not possession but the transfer of the possessed item in exchange of monetary consideration, AKA sale1 point
-
From recent experience, that claim about selling/buying is inaccurate. With the boot sales at Shift Your RIFTs, the organisers said in no uncertain terms that private sellers have a responsibility to ensure that buyers have a valid defence to buy a RIF as the event was open to any Tom, Dick or Harry who may have sinister intentions and not just regular airsofters or novices looking to play on a regular basis. As Tackle & Rogerborg said, while checking a defence with private sales is in the minority of cases in practice and it's seldom enforced at a retail or private level when the RIF is already in the UK, shouting about your claims doesn't make them correct. The litmus test of your claim is that if enforcement of defence checking happened overnight, you'd find a lot of private sellers could be prosecuted no matter how much you shout that a defence is "not needed".1 point

Selling RIFs - VCRA Defence/UKARA Checks?
MSSNAFU reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
So confident and yet so wrong. Private sales are subject to the same laws as shops, whether or not private sellers are as strict as shops is a different matter. You're right that a defence isn't needed for ownership but that's not what we're discussing here. UKARA isn't the only defence and nor is it a legal requirement. A seller just has go be satisfied that the buyer is using it to play airsoft hence why on site shops can sell to players without a site membership. If the vcra was a person it would be old enough to drink in pubs and vote. How are people still getting this wrong?1 point -
Nobody said it was illegal to buy, or to own, a RIF. It's an offence to sell, to import (or cause to be imported), or to manufacture a RIF, or to modify an IF into a RIF. The same offence applies to everyone. The same defences apply to everyone. In practice it's simply not enforced on anyone, retail or private, anywhere except at point of entry to the UK. But this isn't Facebook or Reddit where confidence and VOLUME hold sway. In the law section here, we cite and discuss statutes, regulations and case law.1 point

Selling RIFs - VCRA Defence/UKARA Checks?
MSSNAFU reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
everyone kinda has their own standard. what i typically would have done was asked for ukara, then seen if the site code exists on the ukara site listing. if i'm feeling a little sus i at least see if it's in the same general region (eg a mainlander isn't giving me an ni site code). otherwise i just slap the number on the box and call it good. i've also had folk give me re-enactor id (afaik re-enactor id is only good for relevant pews, ie you can't sell an m4 to a ww2 re-enactor, although in my case that didn't apply), and once dispatched a pew via a local shop we both knew. in buying i have had folk either not ask or even accept my forum presence as a player, although ironically my forum presence would now be a tad deceiving as i'm not playing these days. end of the day the requirement is that you're satisfied the person your selling your gun-shaped-object to is going to use it for airsoft pewing or other permitted activity, and afaik there isn't any real definition/precedent as to how much effort needs to be put into verification.1 point -
MWS mags without the “mod” will fire 120 rounds easy. That is normally a 12-14g fill of gas, easy to work out vs the weight of gas in the can. One can will be plenty for a days play, maybe take two if you are worried. Cutting the silver tube down to cram more liquid propane in is a DUMB idea. Pushing o-rings into the fill valve to prevent the “gas leaking out when filling” is a DUMB idea. The Marui engineers are not dumb.1 point

Interesting post with some very well written out information. This sort of post is always useful for getting people to think about what they’re doing when approaching a certain situation. It’s not always obvious. Its yet another demonstration of how unaware and uneducated security agencies can be when it comes to airsoft. I don’t think I’ll ever be in a situation where I need to be carrying anything gun or replica related through security of any kind but when I do travel the golden rule regarding where I pack any shit I’m not sure of is ‘if there is any doubt then there’s no doubt’ and in that hold luggage it goes. Again you just don’t know who you’re going to get manning that scanner belt, especially it seems in the UK, where at least half of the staff on the security line seem to be mouth breathing automaton fools. You do get good people sometimes but that ain’t a guarantee. The discussions I’ve had with people about things as innocent as a camera would make you break a rib laughing. Heed the advice given by the OP and err on the side of caution….1 point

@Rogerborg Found it However, I could be a little bit pedantic as it looks like it hadn’t gone to court at the time, so an airgun might be a RIF as that was the arrest and he had apparantly both pleaded guilty and then denied He did end up with a conviction, but I have not fully searched back to see what the actual charges were in court So an F could be a RIF, and there has been a case about it, so I must still concede your point of view - unless we get up the court results to find it rejecting the view (If the actual charges & case in court did not test F can be RIF then I still concede the line has moved a little due to the original arrest) On the Home Office view as paintball and frangible, the old version is referenced in the UKPSF post below (But in recent years it has wobbled due to grey import ‘home defence’ paintball pistols, with the updates on status in each of the AGMs for the past few years) https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=532643633518379&id=1000391045680121 point

Forgive me if this has been mentioned in an early post. If airsoft guns are legally airguns then mail order delivery wouldn’t be possible, it would have to be RFD transfer to RFD with all the associated costs, delivery by an approved courier as some shops offer with airgun sales, or physically collecting face to face from the shop. As mail order is allowed I presume that airsoft guns aren’t legally classed as airguns.1 point

Airsoft guns are air weapons?
MSSNAFU reacted to BenJackson for a topic
Airsoft guns are not "air weapons" under the Section 57A. This changes when we breach the "lethal" power limits as described. If this is a bolt action gun then this becomes an air rifle by legal definition, which unless you're in Scotland, won't get you in any hot water for ownership, but a site would be screwed if somebody complained of an injury and it was discovered you were over the limits and had technically injured them with an air rifle. The same can be said for fully automatic airsoft guns, although once these surpass the specified limit, they become Section 5 firearms, meaning there's no legal variation between your airsoft gun, and a completely bog standard real M240B. As already stated, the UK firearms law is incredibly poorly written, with far too many overlaps and grey areas.1 point -
