I don't want to start a discussion I'm just putting this here for anyone interested in seeing the difference so their messages are clearer to read. Your - Belongs to you Example: Your gear You're - Short for 'You are' Example: You're right There - Referring to a place Example: Lets go over there Their - Possession Example: Don't touch their RIF They're - Short for 'They are' Example: They're going to be surrounded Hope this helps clear things up a bit.3 points -

When your Enfield loses the parking pose-off outside Morrisons, but you don't mind second place. I took a picture of both bikes, shopped, came out, bloke was taking a picture of both bikes. That's a 95 year old 1930 Indian Scout, that's still ridden regularly. Started on the first kick, purred away. It almost make me pine for a proper classic rather than a repro, oil leaks and all.3 points

Oh, I know that feeling... Back in about 1994-95 I picked up a deactivated Bren Mk1 from a shop in London (Angel Islington I think), it was in a long cardboard box but it was still in the IRA era and I must have been sweating buckets carrying this on the underground, once I got to my destination station Euston (again I think) I went to the transport police to ask if they wanted to hold on to it till my train to Edinburgh in a few hours. Their answer was no, just leave it in left luggage. I was astounded TBH.3 points -

Tired of seeing the genre of "bundle" listings where people add extra used worthless stuff (in the eyes of the buyer) to "justify" a ridiculous markup. Most people prefer to buy their own equipment and consumables. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37951-arcturus-ak-bundle2 points -

My old mother was taught text speak by my niece, and now has a smart phone and multiple ipads You don’t want to try and read an 80 year olds text speak that is sent via email, text message, facebook messenger and WhatsApp - all in one fractured conversation across numerous apps I’ll see your Nokia 3210 numeric keypad and raise you the Nokia 7280 ‘lipstick’ wheel pad I was the master of quick spin typing, aided by standard messages (yes, no, on my way etc) but also skilled in ‘spin & click’ across the alphabet to make real English words However my mates did take great joy in seeing how long it would take a back & forth text conversion to change to me phoning them back2 points

Tommikka and one other reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
Re. Venting the mags, the only reasoning that seems to make sense is that by venting them you are forcing a cool down of the mag thereby setting up a decent pressure differential between the can and the mag, and helping you fit more gas in.2 points -

A strange one, I've also had a visit (at work actually). Once I was able to explain I was importing it using my UKARA defence, because I was an active airsofter, they were satisfied. We even joked about it, as several of their colleagues were airsofters too. The RIF remained seized by Border Force though, as by that stage I would have had to go to court over it and I didn't think it was worth it. Don't forget, even if you have a valid defence, the RIF may be seized if the shipper misdeclares to customs. ie by stating "toy" or "model part" etc.2 points -

Staff attitude will make or break a site. It's one of the reasons I feel very lucky to have worthing as my closet site. I didn't see any of the bad hit taking personally, but I did overhear some marshall's reminding players of the rules. And I heard about the threats second hand, glad it was dealt with immediately. The guy got shot in the plate carrier with a little bb and threatened to hit someone. Ridiculous attitude over playing make believe. It was overall a great day though. My first in many months. I played like a regular player for once, rather than a shrubbery, and had a great time. Teams were very even in the morning. We did "sands of pain" which involved holding a button on a box to build up a timer. We lost by two seconds! But people peeled off through the day so teams had to get rebalanced past lunch a few times. Also someone had a lipo fire in their gun that was in their car. Thankfully only the gun got damaged and no one got hurt. But the parking area got nice new smell for the morning.2 points -

20m really isn't enough to test hop up properly. A basic amount of hop will get you that far, and issues that aren't severe (like everything moving around) usually occur after 30m-40m. It should be getting to at least 70m stock. If you really want to waste a bit of money, and you don't have an easy range to measure out, a rangefinder can be had for about £100, so you can check real distances. though estimating on google maps on your local field is a cheaper but more difficult option. I do second Rogerborg's opinion that the hop rubber got lubed, which would have some pretty bad effects on the hop up. One thing, if you haven't tried, is to check air seal. Plug the EMPTY barrel with a finger (empty that feed tube, be 100% sure) and fire it. It should at least cushion the piston, and not get the dry fire slam. Or if it's very good, you should be able to hold a bit of air pressure and hear it release when you remove your finger. With the consistency it's probably not this. but it's worth ruling out.2 points -
Well, that's yore opinion.2 points

As posted the owners have been trying go sell the business for a while. I haven't shopped there for years as my loyalty is to my bank account and their high prices tend to make me look elsewhere. Their website was always like this, I remember seeing some guns listed as out of stock that in reality had been discontinued years ago2 points -

No but my Grandad got into it bigtime in his retirement (building only with balsa & luck), he tried his hand at helicopters at one stage but on his first trial flight in the garden it went a bit off page & removed every single flower down one site of the garden (my Gran was the gardener)... it never flew again.2 points -

I am not sure really. I will sign up for one this year. I also have an MPiKM and an MPi-AK-74N, both with the lovely plastic furniture; both are based on CYMA RIFs. I do like sites that follow up the tough talk about the consequences of repeated non hit taking, having a hot gun and serious bad behaviour; the chap who runs Airsoft Plantation has no qualms about sending people home.1 point -

Colin I usually go to these and run the WARPAC side of things but had to miss this one. We have a FB page here if you are interested in joining https://www.facebook.com/groups/677131892467522/ Kit guides can be found here https://coldwarairsoft.co.uk/ We arent overly strict as we would prefer players over being stich counters, getting into the spirit of the game is much more important. Repro kit is becoming available now with a set of Soviet M88 on AliExpress setting you back around £70. The real stuff is getting a lot harder to find now especially in bigger sizes. East German stuff is still reasonable though Best airsoft I have ever been to - no drama no cheating no whinging. This is our pisstake training video. Next game in November near Bourne in Lincs1 point -
