Ucap greenops today. It started out dryish but soon became a very wet slippery site which made the going hard but realistic. We pretended we were in Nam in a monsoon. All that was missing were the crickets and bullfrogs lol. The green ops team have been busy introducing new and exciting props and buildings along with trenches and underground bunkers although nobody was tempted to use them due to the amount of water in them lol. They will be great when the site dries though. Well done marshals and team👍 Game play was very good with no moaning or bitching and no shouts of ' I hit you' 'Oh no you didn't'. I managed seven good kills. Five with the dmr and two with the tm m9 when they came in closer than my med. I was very impressed with the performance of the M9 which was sending 28s down range very nicely. Thanks to @Jez_Armstrongfor the sale 👍 We left the site just after lunch. Wet but happy😊5 points

So yesterdays foray into plastic propulsion wet well. Very well. In fact I had an absolute blast. Fielded the M14 socom, with the boy using his trusty mp5. Chrono was weird though. He was reaching out to 50m+ with the mp5 but the chrono said it was doing 0.65j on .28's. Odd. Still. Everyone took their hits, the only raised voice was from a sniper who couldn't snipe and got lit up when he started shouting about it. Rookie error. 🤣 Much unhealthy food consumed, many pyros lobbed, lots of plastic slung and after a nice spot gathered me 7 in a row, we had one guy left to find to clear the village. Only the sod had got himself inside an upturned barrel and was doing the benny hill hiding thing. Took us AGES to find the bugger!!! Awesome day. I'm knackered now. 🤣🤣4 points

Obliterated, available on Netflix. The premise: a super-special-spy-forces team catches a badman with a suitcase nuke in Las Vegas, goes partying to celebrate, then are suddenly called back on duty when it turns out the real snuke is still out there. The execution: balls-and-cocks-and-boobs to the wall gloriously unapologetic drink-and-drug fuelled amoral uncensored scatological fun that has a great time playing with the genre tropes and character archetypes, edging fnar on parody. I mean, main guy is called "Chad McNight", and their inexperienced Tech Girl is "Maya Lerner". I put off watching this for ages because it looked so dumb that I assumed I'd hate it, but it turns out that "Don't think about it, just crack open a beer or four and enjoy it with us" is the whole point. Does it make sense? Not a bit. Is it funny? Eh, sort of. Can the cast act? Just barely, but wow, they're committed to it, and easy on the eye. Is the gunplay or fighting realistic in any way? Oh, no, not at all. But if sub-plots like "We need to find some hookers, because they'll have meth to wake up Bomb Guy from a ketamine coma" appeals, fill your boobs. I mean, boots.3 points

Right, hopefully it's there now. A few minor tweaks to sort. Cable and ptt for LLM 3d printed and put together. Found the correct LLM ptt rail holder. Unit colour added to LDS. QR codes also added. Still on the look out for the correct sling loop. But I know this is only exclusive to the sa80, so maybe waiting a while. Now to finish my Borneo SAS m16 (colt model 602) with early triangle type charging handle and grooved bolt catch.3 points -

Evening all, After a suggestion from one of our group, we all decided to give Apocalypse airsoft in Kent a go, having been playing at Airsoft Plantation up to that point. Different is good or so they say and we were looking forward to seeing how another site does things. I had a pre visit sniff about online as you do and consulted the excellent reviews on here for a heads up as to what could be expected. There are, as we know many mixed opinions but we went in with an open mind, it's only fair really. Thanks to traffic for no reason on the beloved national treasure that is the Dartford crossing we slithered in a bit late, having negotiated that poxy hill that everyone on here mentioned - now I get it! It would be nice if that could be rearranged somehow but they're working with what they have I guess. Before we really had a chance to pull our socks up the first difference became apparent, chrono. At AP it's all on you with no queuing up at the start but Apocalypse do do this and again, it was nice to see a different approach to it, you just get the usual cable tie or a sticker on the RIF then you're good to go. I managed to get prepped in record time, mags bombed up and batteries in to stocks for what was a bit of a marathon, this was a flag style game with poles that could be turned with different colours on the ends, I can't say I was fully aware of what was going on but just went with the flow. The next thing that hit me was the quality of the buildings, the Citadel (a giant feck off wooden castle) is great and the Village is alao to a very high standard, AP is good but this place have done well, this Citadel even had trenches underneath making it a nightmare to defend and certainly gets you thinking! The game went on for some time, having started at 9:30 ish, word came around that it would be finishing at 12, longer than I'm used to and I only just had enough ammo to get through, no drama but next time I'll be more prepared. The marshalls all seemed fine, A guy called Dimitri (I think) was the master of ceremonies for most of it, kept control of things well with his louder than average voice, useful as everyone kept yapping during the briefing! I heard the main man is supposed to be Martin but I never managed to work out who he was. Didn't seem to be any issues with hit taking but people did seem to love shooting dead players, which the marshals were on top of straight away again nice to see. Apocalypse of course use the medic rule meaning you stand there after being shot in the hope that a chum is available to 'medic' you back into the game, again not something I'm used to but I learned it as I went. Facilities were decent, the shop is just a massive danger zone where mentally, I spent thousands looking at the RIF's and kit in there. The toilets are basically a pile of stones that you piss into, doesn't smell all that nice but not a deal breaker. I didn't partake in the food but my nose told me it would have been a good shout had I done so. Something else my nose told me was that some people there were on the weed. Now to be clear, I don't give a shit about it all, long as no one else has to suffer it that doesn't want to that is and it was a bit disappointing to have to be exposed to it all at what was supposed to be a public event, full of kids too I might add. Again, not to overstate the point I'm live and let live but it would have been nice to see the staff get a handle on this, but they allowed it to continue which I found a bit poor. The rest of the games were a similar format to the first, same objectives and same locations but being a new site it was still enjoyable. All in all worth going and a useful insight into something a little bit different..........2 points -
It definitely is, but still not had a reason to buy anything more from KY yet 😂2 points

it is frustrating that most sites dont list the thread size on the cartridges. i dont want to buy some to find i cant use them due to the thread being wrong... and working night shift means it would be a real pain to organise shipping if i need to return them.... as fot the pin... i might have been a bit overly dramatic. the pin doesnt have any lateral play, but it is loose enough that it freely slides out of the reciever. looking at the parts list on VFCs website it looks like i may be missing a retaining clip.. but the Eclip mod i have done is doing the job, so im not going to worry about ordering a new one thanks for the links, i will probably be ordering from one of these links in the coming weeks... but as i have a stock of 88gs, i am damn well going to use them up first... even if i have to replace the end cover of the box mag with gaffer tape for a few games. though i do have a UBAC shirt that has a ripped sleeve, so i might even try salvaging the material to make a cloth cover to fit over the box and hide the CO2 capsule overhang. probably wont work, or will look shit, but if it lasts a few games until i deplete the 88gs then so be it2 points

Glad you had a good day. Dimitri is as we call him "the mad russian". He's an awesome guy. The marshalls are really good up there and I'm surprised they didn't clock on about the weed. One of the marshalls is a copper ....👍 That's my usual site. I can only apologise for the Dartford traffic ( I live there....urgh) and the M20 50mph speed limits. Sorry. The village is murderous to attack and defend. There's a couple of properly sneaky hidey holes that the regulars know. Jon is in the process of building proper toilets up there. We did the under 18's day yesterday. 👍that hill is a killer though 😱🤣 Oh and keep an eye on their FB page as they stick loads of pictures up of stuff that goes on.1 point -

Most of my guns don't have any upgrades but on the rare occasion I do change something it's usually the hop rubber. It's worth posting that IMO you should always play a game or two with the gun totally stock rather than upgrading parts beforehand. This gives you a better idea of what, if anything needs changing1 point -

Camel Back in airsoft ?
Danhc92 reacted to JimFromHorsham for a topic
The biggest benefit of a Camelbak is the weight distribution , a well sorted belt kit is no problem for canteens & bottles but a lightweight set up on a trouser belt or vest and they do tend to add a lot of weight in a not so great area causing uneven load or that annoying bounce around whilst you move . A lightweight Camelbak however cinched down on your back and you won’t really know it’s there . If you are wearing a platecarrier then consider just putting it in the rear plate pocket , remember you don’t have to fill it to the max , most of the modern style are flat topped and can be rolled to fit . So you could just buy a bladder only and integrate that into your existing kit.1 point -

There are few things I don’t compromise on one is tyres on my car and the other is eye pro. I would say spend as much as you can afford on decent eye pro. We can’t grow them back and fogging is much preferred to blindness, might sound dramatic but it I wouldn’t risk it. I use military eye pro and been hit in the glasses a fair few times and glad I spent the dosh.1 point -

Ohhhh no we haven't. The law is an ass. Spot the firearm, the firearm-but-different, and the not-a-firearm-but-only-for-the-purpose-of-the-firearms-act firearm here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a used air-gun sale (outside of Scotchland) is not covered by statute or regulation, right? So you could bump the power up to airgun levels and sell without a defence? 2.5J single/semi = airsoft RIF, offence to sell 2.6J single/semi = air-gun, age restricted only (But of course 1.31J auto = machine gun) Make it make sense.1 point

Replica of the Original AN/PEQ-15 ATPIAL by VFC, this is the best version of this particular laser as far as I am aware, as most other laser replicas on the market are replicas of the newer PEQ-15 LA5 UHP. This one would be clone correct for a MK18 or M4 SOPMOD. You can tell the ATPIAL apart from the LA5 by the stickers on the left side of the unit. The zero adjustment turrets, the battery cap and the placement of the blue lockout screw.£65

I use Bolle Tracker IIs (about £10 a pair) along with Revision antifog wipes (about £5 each but they are multi use). As long as I'm on the move they stay fog free.1 point -

I’ve used all kinds of eye protection, full face mesh, mesh goggles, full seal lens goggles and glasses. Each have their own advantages and disadvantages: mesh - no fog and decent level of protection but if someone is using a lower quality / older bb, there is a chance that on impact they will shatter and send shards of plastic towards your eyes ( talking from experience) glasses - less fog than full seal and more protective front on than mesh but risk of BBs getting in from the sides. also, I’ve seen plenty of people forget to put them back on before heading into the game zone - very dangerous. full seal - best protection all round, high risk of fog. But you’ll be fine if you use anti-fog and or get an ex-fog unit ( or as I describe it to my wife - my head mounted aircon unit haha) regardless of which option you go for, but respectable brands which are rated for Airsoft use. I’ve seen cheap “Airsoft” glasses shatter.1 point

After 10 years of playing, I finally have the cash and the knowledge to buy all the bits and bobs to make a tricked out rifle that has all the attachments that I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed. Being an adult finally has its perks! This comes after a little binge on Aliexpress for the final little pieces. Double Eagle M906C (completely stock and still kicking ass). PTS EPF-M MLOK foregrip. SOTAC Elcan Spectre 1x - 4x Scope WADSN M300A flashlight, on an ARIS Type 2 clone MLOK mount. WADSN DBAL-A2 Laser/light module (Red laser, flashlight, strobe, and IR laser). WADSN 3-button control unit thing with two leads for both the flashlight and the laser module. 3rd button is an ON/OFF switch (not momentary) for the flashlight. Mounts via MLOK Arson Machine MLOK and RIS-based "cable management solutions". Really pleasing stuff tbh. I love retail therapy. Last thing to get is some dinky little tracer unit, as my intention is for this to be my indoor gun now that it can light up a room and I can see where I'm going.1 point

Did a bit of a revamp of my 10" M4.... It's now a 5" M4. Used a spare Specna upper receiver I had, got a new 5" carbon fibre barrel, moved the ARP-9 handguard from my AAP carbine, cut down and recrowned an old Guarder 363x6.02 barrel, replaced the cylinder (from 4/5 hole to 2/3), random spring (m100? m110? who knows) and now I have a very smol boi. Why? Because I want lightweight and compact for long tournaments, this horrid thing is very consistent in Joule output and spread (very surprising given the silly short barrel), plus I'll be strapping a thermal scope onto it at night, the more weight I can shave the better. Powered by a funny 7,4v 1800mAh 130/65c battery that gets me in the 25 RPS region (by sound, need to confirm via chrono). As always, functionality over aesthetics. P.S. G43 + FTC is on there just for show, I don't really use it.1 point -

New pew today 😁. Since using my lad's SSE18, I've wanted one for my ghillie rig, but I've decided to dual-purpose it for my cyberpunk CQB setup. The massive holo is a placeholder until my low-profile (red) red dot arrives, but I'm starting to get attached to it, whilst tactically sweeping my house over and over. The amplifier was primarily cosmetic but it definitely makes the pistol sound less anaemic. Also missing is a red flared mag well, as it was out of stock. She's ugly, but that's kind of the point. 😄 Once it's complete, the real project begins: Integral torch, using the foregrip cavity, and LED lighting in the rear carbine cavity... all for the cyberiness. 😄1 point -
