Criminal commits crime In car CCTV with a fish eye wide angle lens Another idiot creating their own evidence against themselves4 points

He was "terminated" as soon as the video came to light. That's great but how did he keep his job having 66 previous convictions and two prior offenses of possessing an offensive weapon.3 points

Idiot sentenced in RIF case
Tackle and one other reacted to Skullchewer for a topic
Great... ??♂️ "A former Fonacab taxi driver who assaulted a passenger with an imitation firearm will spend 10 months in jail and 10 months on license. Belfast Crown court was told that 49-year-old Brian Alexander Stalford, from Park Avenue in east Belfast, was under the influence of cocaine the day of the gun attack and admitted “acting the hardman”. The court heard that Stalford issued the threat to the front-seat passenger over a drugs debt. His barrister Sean Devine said the "supreme irony" of the incident was that Stalford issued the threat to pay off his own drugs debt, and was under the influence of cocaine at the time. The court heard that cocaine made Stalford “feel confident and invincible and made him act like a hard man”. Det Sgt Hughes said today's sentencing "sends a message that the possesion or use of firearms, imitation or otherwise, is unacceptable in any modern society". Previous convictions Stalford has 66 previous convictions. Judge McColgan said this including two prior charges for possessing an offensive weapon. The court was told Stalford has expressed remorse and regret for his actions and has displayed victim empathy regarding the impact his actions will have had on both passengers." Doesn't mention airsoft, but...2 points -
You can't buy from them direct I know, but they were awesome. I lost the magnet holder for my p90 perun mosfet. I couldn't find the part at a retailer so I contacted them directly. They sent me a magnet holder out free of charge. The first attempt was blocked by border force but it got to me on the 2nd attempt. They were very helpful and friendly throughout and they really didn't need to send me anything FOC. It was really nice of them I thought.2 points

"Hello is this the ukara police? I have something to report"2 points
-
So, do you lose your minicab licence on the sixth-seventh conviction?2 points
-
While ukara isn't mandatory, there is a "responsibility" placed upon a seller to potentially ensure they are convinced that the buyer is either a genuine airsofter or at the very least will show commonsense in the ownership of said rif. BUT This is all inferred in the case of a private sale, technically retailers are the only sellers who legally have a duty of care, which to the best of my knowledge hasn't yet been tested in a court of law ?.2 points

66 convictions!! He is a fucking knobber of the tenth degree. I'm wondering how that photo came about. I mean did he have a friend who took it or did he drive around looking for a camera? Either way it should have been 10 years.2 points

UKARA renewal
gavinkempsell reacted to BigStew for a topic
Your current UKARA number is tied to the site you got it at. it's up to them under what criteria they renew it. If you register at any other site you will need to get a new UKARA number unless those sites are owned by the same company.1 point -
Da Fuq ?, so many questions, how'd he get a job as a taxi driver in the first place with so many convictions, aren't taxi companies supposed to screen employees for the protection of their customers. Why such a piss poor sentence, again considering how much previous he's got, yanks would have thrown away the key with him. And finally, how the feck is he 49, I'm 56 & he looks old enough to be me dad, years of drugs I'm guessing ? The whole thing is an epic clusterfuck, as has been pointed out, thank God airsoft didn't get a mention??1 point

Private sales Question
Cannonfodder reacted to Tommikka for a topic
You do not need to valid UKARA in particular. But the relevant offence places the onus on the seller to only sell a RIF to a person (or organisation) with a defence under the VCRA In the context of this forum that defence is Airsoft skirmishing and the most commonly recognised scheme is the UKARA You can accept anything that you are willing to accept as a VCRA defence. If you end up facing the justice system as a result of an idiot could you reasonably back up your decision ?1 point -

You can indeed fit 2 at once. Thanks for that link , it's a shame that every other size seems so much more expensive than the 88g ones . Would still need to confirm thread size matches the M16 threads on the 88g ones 5/8 unf thread seems to be a close match for M16 , close enough to fit I think. 5/8 appears to be one of the more common thread sizes, although still not very common.1 point -
For me these are great. They have a gap between the lens and the frame but it's not big enough to let a bb through. They only fog up if I put my hood up. https://www.bolle-safety.com/gb/tactical/outlet/x800-5292.html1 point

Eye protection, thoughts greatly appreciated
Cr0-Magnon reacted to Tommikka for a topic
My opinion - full face with foam enclosed eye area The next best thing is snow goggle style eye protection Glasses style eye protection only covers direct impact, I’ve seen many Marshalls with BBs ending up with BBs inside their ‘protective’ glasses, luckily these occasions have ‘only’ been BBs coming at a side/rear angle into the edge of the glasses and bouncing back below the eye The answer to fogging is airflow Removing protection to the wide open is not the solution, and telling players that they shouldn’t shoot at heads is not the solution to the failed ‘airflow solution’1 point -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
gavinkempsell reacted to Jaylordofwaargh for a topic
Sunday gone, took myself and the young one the Red1 Chiselhurst - i made a point of asking on the socials if i could bring him as he is still only 10 and red1 so much closer to home than driver wood, they say its good - so now i have an actual commutable site for us! Sign in continues a plomp and im thinking ' this is quiet' only around 30odd players on site, Crono opens up on time and all players are corraled into the range for the task - good - my ics finally works during a crono process and i only need to fix the feeding issue (i have to hold the mag in tight). The lads tm also passes. but and here i had to pause, no tags... nothing to mark this particular bb slinger as passed....turns out this was not a biggy as they took the crono into the game and i did see some spot checks happen. last player comes out folloed by marshel that was cronoing, 'safety breif happens - fairly standard, it finishes and immediatly its 'bomb up and get out there' - love that. next up, teams....'everyone that knows the site this side nd everyone that doesnt on that side'.....'those are the teams' this gets a chuckle, nervious from some, and againi have to give a pause to my thinking, but they continue 'right x from that side over here and x from this side there' which in the end seemd to fuel those of us not super familier with the site. games - good overall but need tweaking in places 1st game capture the flag - but there are many many flags scattered around the cqb parts of the site (town and western for those tht know). the flags were varous shapes and sizes, in trees, buildings and bushes, got the blood pumping and all of us a little more familier with those parts of the site. 2nd game, a longer one and a fall back game, the marshals stated that it was designed as a meat grinder that we had to go in a certain way, i'm fine with that, when the marshal says the defenders will fall back 30m when killed i thought 'man these guys dont know what 30m looks like' to prove my point, that was the next question, the one in a gillie suit, but he is a different kettle). so game kicks of its predicably a real slogg for the attackers (us) to get into the village, there are some reall sneaky gits on the other team hiding in ridiculous places and getting a number of kills for those pushing forward, gits (and well played to them). I started a fire, well my grenade did - towards the end of the village, there is a clear bottle neck with a number of enemies holed up and we couldn't get into the next room to get at them, i over heard a guy on my team say stuff like 'im giving you a chance to come out and surrender' and 'we will get you' 'don't make us come in there' the reply was a commendible 'come and get us' so i did what any raesonable person would do - i handed our player a flash bang. the 'oh shit!' from the enemy was satisfying enough even though i didn't lob it. We move on - a few moments later its smoking heavily and calls of 'fire, fire' ring out. Again the marshal earnt thier pay by stamping it out. now, this 30m fall back - enemy players were not failling back 30m, they were going behind a building ortwo and then stopping so it felt like the other team were much more numirous. we continue to slogg though. now the plan for this game was to use most of the site, the cqb village the trnches and the fob at the bottom, however due to the above reasons we got as about halfway and the marshal called a break to reload and hydrate this wouldhave flowed much better if it was more 1 life per zone, even if you counted the bridge/fire pit as a zone, it could then have been a timed game to which team could do it quicker. i did feed that back them. lunch as a decent affair with burgers or dogs with the option of onion and cheese with the important condiments which the lad wolfed down. warm up game again, Pilots - two team member are in center of town go rescue - which we did - which the enemy didnt. these shoter smaller games were where i had the most fun, lots of contact micro tactics and fire teams working very well. a stand out moment during lunch, my boys tm died, screches like a banshee and red1 were kind enough to find a spare rental for him for the rest of the day, he really enjoyed the clapsable stock so i may use that as en excuse to get another gun, for him of course.... Overall a good day with active marshalling and great firefights and no mention of hit taking issues. We will go back1 point -

Yeah, I bought into it because the devs actually seem quite engaged with the community and acknowledge when things aren't working as they should and are pretty on it when it comes to getting the community to help them test bug fixes. All in all, I am optimistic1 point

Shiiiiiiitttttt..... My 88g cartridges arrive today... How much larger are they than the box? FFS... Are there any other sizes of CO2 cartridge readily available that don't cost a fortune? Are all threaded cartridges the same thread? And moving away from the Co2 hassle.... After fitting the para stock, I found the bottom pin (the one holding the rear of the trigger group and bottom of the stock together in the reciever) was extremely loose. I tried squeezing the square clip that sits over the reciever together, hoping it would apply more tension to the pin.... it instead snapped in half. Had to bodge it by fitting 2 "E" clips in the grooves on either end of the pin. Disassembly will be a pain in the arse now, but at least I won't lose the pin in the middle of a game now. I was hoping to try the gun on its new CO2 source this weekend, but if the cartridges will not fit, then i may be screwed =/1 point
