Yep -this did the rounds - as far as i know, it was driven by competitors or youtubers keen on clickbait. But fairs fair, clearly in certain circumstances the plastic clearly wasn't up to it. I believe that the second batch he sells had this remedied - in the meantime, mine (first batch) was shipped with a suitably sized patch of self adhesive velcro that I stuck on the box to provide some extra protection. All I can say is that it is comfortable, quite in operation, keeps me fog free when I'm indoors (I wear mesh outdoors), and was a lot cheaper than Ex-fog when i looked into that solution (and at the time they just had a rather heath robinson arrangement of sticking the tubes into the goggles).2 points -

I'm particularly after two models that arent copied or rebadged. I have a cheap CYMA already (yuck - awful build quality) and a BO Fabarms shorty. The Fabarms is nice - very nice actually - pretty comparable to a TM M3. I've played with shotguns for years so I know what's about Yeh I had a good chuckle at that too. One of those sites that I see and immediately add to the "wouldn’t touch with someone else's bargepole" list 😀2 points -

I have an Exfog. It has two open ended tubes that I just stuff into the top of my goggles, one each side. I had already pulled the foam off for better ventilation. The rubber that the foam was attached to is soft enough to push aside and slide the tube in and then route it through my helmet and cut to size. I bought the velcro pouch and just stuck it to the back of my helmet under the bungees so it didn't go anywhere. I believe the tubing is just some generic PVC tubing used in aquariums and such but I can't remember what size it is. I pair my Exfog with some Revision anti-fog wipes which are cheap as chips and last for months at a time as long as you don't get it dirty and re-seal it. Only downside i've ever found is that when using active hearing protection, that's mounted to the helmet, it'll amplify the vibration from the fan/motor and be really annoying.2 points -

Hi guys, Just reposting I still have stock left on this card game which I have created and manufactured. This is a unique Airsoft-based card game for the whole family and friends to play against each other. Where in each box you get 4 different teams for you to battle friends or family on days you are not Airsofting. It is a simple easy game but you will need to develop your own strategy to be the sole survivor, We have played it with more than 4 teams and it works well and people can get very competitive. It is a simple attack procedure of 1,2,3 on the dice is a miss 4,5,6 is a hit each player has 3 lives to remove. Snipers roll 3 dice DMR rolls 2 and AEG roll only 1 dice and Medics roll 2 dice but can only heal. Every time you play your team is different as you randomly choose 6 players from a pack of 29 players. Then for an added bonus, you get 2 perk cards at the start and 2 more every 3 rounds which you can use on your go for bonus help whether that is to damage another player or simply just heal your own. There are a lot of other bonuses you can get. You can see it on a page I created on Facebook called Airsoft Battle Cards which I have added a video explaining a little more. I have also added it to eBay, if local to Reading/ Oxford I am willing for you to collect if you are passing and I am always up for a game to demonstrate it. If you would like more information just pop me a message.£18

I had a go a short while back on demonstrations of the MantisX dry fire system. It worked fairly well demonstrated on airsoft, though it didn’t manage to pick up every shot and misfired from background noise - they were running a pistol, rifle & prone sniper rifle and with two or three people shooting at once we were triggering each others microphone sensors To run it you need your chosen weapon, the app, a smartphone and a mount to clamp the smartphone on the gun Specialist mounts can be used but other phone clamps can be found https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/mantisx-pistol-rifle/id1050791268 https://mantisx.com1 point -
OK - Exfog is a doddle to set up. The XT's come with the little magnet hose things, push the adapter through a hole in the seal vents (desert locust for me), point at the lens and you're golden - don't need to make any destructive holes or anything. If you have active headsets, you are going to hear every little bit of it functioning, but its easy enough to switch off when you don't need it. The vent is on the bottom of the unit and the hose adapter actually creates an intake space, so unless you're using a really restricting pouch it will have plenty of space. I got the XT without the headband for ~£50 from Specs4sports, which I think makes it about £10 cheaper than the Novshit. I could feel the air even on the lowest setting, and the full power burst mode is mental.1 point

Firstly, welcome back! Hope it's not another six years till your next game. The predator's a nice unit, weighty but nice. I briefly had one but had to return it due to tracer unit issues, ended up with a bi-frost in the end. Sounds like you'll be on the look out for another pistol, when you're looking for a tracer for it I've found the Xcortech XT301 mk2 to be good, with the bonus that it plays well with my holster too. Eyepro's a personal choice, but I use Bolle X800's as they have plenty of air flow. Can see why you'd be thinking of the Dye as that's what a lot of the staff use at Z-mart. Aliexpress seems to have plenty of cheap sights, just got a Romeo 8T from there and it arrived pretty quick and actually works - even got it zero'd - am yet to use it in anger so we'll see what the longevity is like. Might see you at Z-mart sometime too 👍1 point

Airsoft 'practical' shooting

Not quite the same thing, but I like to do some dry firing with an airsoft gun a few times a week as a warm up before circuits, or going for a run. If you want to turn it into a workout drop into prone and stand back up between rounds. Do it in a big room and add in some movement, or put a chair in for cover etc. Same with changing magazines, safety on and off between rounds etc. etc. Some fun light exercise. Since starting it I have noticed my reactions are far better, and I'm much better at getting the drop on another person during CQB than I used to be. There's plenty of videos on youtube:1 point -

Secutor spring shotguns in stock UK?
Rogerborg reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
Consensus seems to be that Secutor Shotguns are rebranded Golden Eagle shotguns (certainly the gas ones, and possibly the spring ones as well?) - so you might find more luck searching for Golden Eagle instead. If you are fixed on a spring shotgun, the Cymas also have a generally good reputation.1 point -

The Novritsch ones are really good - the magnetic link attachment works perfectly - so much so, most of the time, the act of putting the helmet on is enough to link it up to the goggles. The hole that it requires you punch in the frame of the goggles is rather small - I'd say half way between a Skittle and a Smartie! That said, I used it with the pyramex goggles that have a soft rubber frame - I presume it would also work with goggles that have a hard plastic frame, but it might require a bit more attention, and maybe a bit of glue.1 point -

Used to run Valkyrie BBs, but it seems the company has decided to cease trading, so im now in the market for a new brand of BB as my Valkyrie stocks are running out. I ran .32 in my tippmann, .28s in most of my other guns with .25s for CQB1 point

I run .48s (sniper rifles), .4s (DMRs), .32s (most things), and .25s (shotgun and LMG) and for all of them I've always liked Geoffs until recently because they shot up in price and are just expensive now. Now I'm running BLS BBs and they're pretty great and affordable, but ASG Blasters have always been good as well and I've used them in the past.1 point
-
Best BBs are really dependant on weight, on the sub .36 range, any reputable brand is pretty much as good as the other. At least that's as far as I've looked into them. Bang for buck I'd go for ASG, any series. And if you can hop heavier than .28 you should probably get heavier - you can buy the best .28 out there, you're still gonna be outranged by a decent .321 point

All for the positive vibes, but peeps have handed over cash a year ago, Admin have been linked, replies to other threads have been made, and not even an acknowledgement of the requests for an update. Yet we have the very entertaining Macks dreamers thread. As THE forum for seasoned players and newbies, I would hope we represented the respectable side of the hobby. Wanted or not, the forum admin/owners really need to step up on this one, even if we are only dealing with a few fivers here and there. I did a charity T shirt fundraiser for the Tsunami in Japan years ago when I was an Admin of a Jap car club that ran to a fair chunk of money. Transparency of the funds was of upmost importance. I even DMd pics of envelopes and addresses as part of proof of postage. I might even have the spreadsheet somewhere LOL. Now if you don't mind, I have 20 minutes left of Navy Seals to watch and I am desperately trying to think of a reason not to buy myself a TM MP5 for my birthday. 😆1 point -

Couple of new pieces have turned up. First is my mostly real steel MG3 build. Its off getting HPA'd right now, then back to me for some more airsoft to real steel conversion. Next, my G27K build is pretty much done. Still testing out the new EPM-1S midcaps, but so far 170 rounds in a 417 is so nice. Finally, work on my MG4 is nearing completion. Is anyone else noticing a trend here?... Still working on the custom MG4 optic, but its essentially done - just got to get it printed in a stronger format.1 point -
Did the shimming and finished off the perun tasks today. On this gearbox I removed the trigger screw protrusion with a drill bit instead of grinding stuff. The cutoff lever is removed with this perun hybrid. All the scratches are from the manufacturer. The perun sticker I applied after removing the copper and cleaning the plastic with isopropanol. The bearings are 3x8x3 and I had to widen the channel in the selector plate at the top in this pic to take some pressure off the plate so it moves without much effort. Even with 2.5mm ones in the plate rubbed Bearings are from ak2m4, run nicely with thier 7 balls. Obviously better than 6... When I'm finished opening the box I'll lube everything, seems I have a leaky nozzle, the blue, apparently 3d printed, one that came with gun has a texture on it, no o ring and a very strong tappet plate spring which I'll have to compare with some others before I'm happy.1 point
