  3. Vorsk seem to be trying to go upmarket with this "race gun". Β£146 + postage new, or thereabouts. Of course, there's a reason it's being sold.

  8. 99% of my pews are wallhangers, I tend to use my favourites & the rest are eye candy. I find pistols a pain to display, bought some hangers especially for them but wasn't happy with the result, had some spare brackets that I've been thinking of using for pistols so got my dremel out. I've ground down the edges to avoid damaging the barrels. & I've yet to use a sidearm in any games so any damage is unlikely going to affect my gameplay.

  10. I would just buy from U.K. retailers, if you want solid no quibble lifetime warranty buy Vortex from any approved stockist , if you want Eotech go through UKtactical , if you want Aimpoint go through Edgarbrothers . Holosun , Surefire - TacticalKit .

  11. Alright, here is the update, surprisingly he gave me a full refund this morning. I would take your advice and try to buy optics from USA. Do I need to pay taxes for buying optics from USA? If the answer is yes, then how am I supposed to pay it?

  12. As above, doesnt look like significant differences, just different rail or stock style (which translated into ar speak means it's a totally different gun ) I suspect their bb flinging performance is going to be identical.

  15. Kinda unrelated but what's the deal with hanging them by the barrel like that? Always seemed to me a strange way to do it what with risking inner barrel damage every time you hang one up.

  21. If part of the rear sight is missing, should there not be a decent picture illustrating it, especially when one can buy the pistol for a ton (plus delivery & peace of mind) at the moment from Extreme Airsoft? https://extremeairsoft.co.uk/product/vorsk-cs-hi-capa-vengeance-black/

  22. Flex from here (Β£90): https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/specna-arms-sa-f01-flex-aeg-carbine-replica-black I was quite impressed with the Flex series guns I've seen in the Z1 showroom. Most of the CORE guns have metal rails - which jacks up the prices. Internally, there's little to no difference between them (confirmed at the 10min mark).

  24. I would definitely prefer to buy the one that I could buy. The FLEX will be fine, it's got a rotary hop and quick change spring, the two features that I'd look for in a basic M4. Specna change their branding so often that it's hard to keep up. The CORE used to have an X-ASR mosfet that was pretty much a gimmick rather than a feature. It also had bearings rather than bushings, now the FLEX has those (personally I'd prefer bushings, but the bearings in my CORE haven't given up even though I'm running it at 1.8J as a DMR). At that price point it's really not worth worrying too much about it, just bag whatever's in stock and deal with the reality of what you actually receive.

  25. Hi there and welcome. Yeah, it's tricky to discern much difference - you could always give them a call and let them point out the differences. (Of course it looks like one is in stock, and one isn't - you might find one has replaced the other in Specna's product list)

    New From GHK?

I think you underestimate the difference between the GHK glock and a TM. Also the GHK is actually cheap compared to the TM plus a steel slide kit and thats without the other parts needed to make a TM push that slide reliably . I do agree that GHK has had horrendous issues the last few years though but the latest M4s have been back to how they originally were and the new AK looks very promising indeed

  30. The denali was definitely the daddy of overkill when it came to magazine capacity, on top of all the vertical BIG mag pouches you had the zip on lower section that had further horizontal mag pouches, at a guess I'd say 20-25 stanag mag carry was achievable, my back hurts thinking about it. Recently picked up a helikon tmr, added a condor hydra back panel & I'm modding some kydex type mag inserts to allow instant switching between 7.62, 5.56, & 9mm smg mags without swapping inserts. Yep, I know I always recommend the bulle mle when asked, but I think my decades long search for the perfect loadout (for me🀯) has triggered a bit of ocd, not helped by my recent forced downtime.

  31. That pic is either the Warlord or Denali, I looked up both on google images to see which picture I could find of the most comically huge/overloaded chest rig possible. I think if someone had to gun to my head and forced me to recommend one bit of gear that'd be most likely to the majority of people for sunday skirmishes, I'd probably go for something with the footprint of a Spiritus Thing 2 (other systems are available).

  33. I'd say that the key here is - work out what you carry at a typical gameday, and then build your load carrying gear around that. The OP mentioned a battle belt, so yes a solution that works around it - they've already hinted that some of the larger, bulkier carriers will get in the way of this. I started off with just a belt rig, then went to a plate carrier. As a predominantly midcap user, I found that it was easy to overload and then wouldn't be comfortable, as well as stopping me from going prone. I think over the course of about 18 months I switched between, belt, belt + vest, vest + no belt, webbing, SADF chest rig + belt, PLCE assault vest, Arktis chest rig, and now finally I'm on a Platatac Peacekeeper chest rig. You're unlikely to find a load carrying solution to suit every event, or one that works really well for someone else and works for you likewise. If you've got mates with different gear then ask if you can see what their kit is like, or if you don't mind a bit of trial and error then maybe go for a chest rig as people have suggested and see if it works - if not then try and return or sell it on (or hoard it like I do).

    Hello guys!

Hello & welcome! Lots of good advice already ☝️ Get yourself a list together, when you get your first pew there’ll be a ton of stuff you also need and it’s a good idea to make sure you don’t forget something. Chances are all those extras cost as much as the pew! If you’re playing indoors then I’d highly recommend a weapon light and tracer - although both will ramp up your initial investment.

  36. Thank you for replying my message, Xtreme Tactical emailed me this night said his contact in USA couldn't found available stock, and he suggested for a refund, so I decied to take my money back. I also ordered a holosun hm3x magnifier with the sig red dot and light. He said the magnifier is coming, should I keep the magnifier? I brought it during black Friday discount sales.

    Hello guys!

Welcome! I have to add my voice to the choir about having good boots or footwear with decent ankle support. They may not necessarily prevent you from an ankle injury but they can lessen it from something more serious. For indoor sites, it may be worth getting a torch, ideally one you can mount on the rifle, depending on the lighting conditions. As you're from Herts, there is a new, indoor (mostly) site run by RIFT Airsoft called the Battery just within the Essex side of the Herts/Essex border so it may be closer to you than Bunker51 though it's not as accessible. They do require a parent or responsible adult for you to play alongside you as you're under 18.

    Hello guys!

Big county is Hertfordshire.... AWA is a good site, but you're also close enough to get to some good ones in Essex if you can persuade a parent to travel.... or do what my then 13 year old did and got me hooked too (you'll get access to better pews too if your can πŸ‘πŸ˜„πŸ˜‰). Few of us here go to Special Ops near Milton Keynes which isn't far if you are Stevenage/North Herts way. The gun you linked to will be fine, and will be easy for you to upgrade gradually with reasonably priced things IF needed. Don't get too dazzled by people at your chosen site(s) brandishing pretty costumes and fancy guns. You don't need it to have fun. I often substitute my pricier pews to just have stressfree fun with cheaper ones. Good face protection is essential...especially as you're young, but a full helmet is optional. Also do yourself a favour and get decent boots, or footware with ankle support. Super important if you end up running around woodland sites. Oh and welcome!

    Hello guys!

Welcome. Are you specifically interested in cqb sites or would you happily play in the woods? I'd recommend at least trying both as they can be very different. Also tbh Bunker 51 isn't the best site, especially when it gets busy. A helmet isn't 100% necessary. I tend to go with either a cap or bonnie but I accept that this won't stop shots to the head but will take the sting out of most of them. For eye protection being under 18 means that you'll have to use full face protection rather than just glasses or goggles. Also bear in mind some sites will insist you use a one piece mask, whereas others will be fine with separate eye protection and face mask. Best to check this before booking or buying anything. Are you wanting to protect your hearing or ears from hits? For accessories, tbh the only essentials would be a face mask, boots with good ankle support, a couple of spare magazines and a spare battery. This times a few million. Although tbh 99% of airsoft videos on youtube are heavily edited to the point that they're not realistic

    Hello guys!

I may have been lucky, but running around the woods I've been fine with just a camo baseball cap. Occasionally it gets snagged on a branch and comes off (which halts my start-of-round-run-to-get-shot-first), but it's enough protection from getting scraped or scratched, and does enough to soften the BB impacts. I use a Tigris One mesh mask with the ear impact protection. It's pretty good. And although I've already got tinnitus, I've only had one pyro go off near enough to worry about. So I bought some army surplus earplugs (which I'm saving for CQB) GL&HF

    Hello guys!

Welcome πŸ– The Specna is a good starter Have a look here too: UK Airsoft Map β€” PlayAirsoft Milsim is more of a hard core game day with some sites requiring certain gear so I would recommend general open days which are a good combination of fun games with loose team play. Especially to start out. Indoor/CQB are faster paced like CS:GO Answers to questions: 1. No, a helmet is not required for airsoft but can be useful for protecting the nogin when running around. 2. A helmet is also good for attachments like ear protector panels 😁 You can get mesh masks with ear protection like THIS 3. Nothing required. Good eye protection and ankle high boots are recommended. Save some money for mags, decent batteries and charger. (search forum for recommendations) Enjoy πŸ‘ (Don't watch Licking Muckstain [Kicking Mustang] videos)
