Well, turns out I'm not 'a man' but I am a dick... picked them all up & isolated them in the origional carton then proceded to fill my speed loaders (with fresh bb's) which arrived today and turned one upside down to see how the handle opens out and promptly dumped the fresh bb's on the floor too. Think I'll just go to bed before I fall down the bloody stairs or something. Icing on the cake is, I found the rear sight from a glock & a tiny spring which I suspect it's from the blowback lever on an L85A1 I have getting fixed at the moment. NN lol.

MWS mostly done. Will eventually replace the repro CTR stock with a real-steel Magpul one and will probably get a Visionking scope for it to replace the Strike Systems one on it at the moment. Might get a 45 degree mount for a red dot for close shooting, but we'll see. Also, with the suppressor off and the stock all the way in, it fits in the smaller rifle pouch of my larger gun bag, so I can take both it and one of my (many) bolt actions in one bag now

At £350 ( £330 in some places) these are an absolute bargain for a step into the MWS system , that’s my opinion of course but it really is a decent , nice looking , well finished and working site legal out of the box gun that appears to be compatible with TM oem & aftermarket parts. I have since added some genuine Magpul furniture , XL -K grip , SL-K stock ,Mlok AFG & BAD lever , plus some nicer VFC micro BUIS , yes it’s more money , no it’s not needed , but I did it anyway ?

100% my thinking too! Only drama being, as long as my wife doesn't see all my black M4s/ARs in one place at the same time, i'm ok and it is entirely plausible that I own just the one..... A tan rifle will somewhat stand out as new......

Some interesting photos on VFC’s Facebook page from their stall at TADTE 2023. Nothing close up or specific, but definitely an MP5SD and a bunch of M16’s. Hopefully all GBB’s. Looks like M16A1 with original and later handguards, also an M203 setup which would be awesome, and what looks like an M16A4. If these are GBB’s coming out next year then my bank account is going to be taking a hammering again. It’s a shame there’s nothing there with the A2 style carry handle though.

Valken ASL are the standard rental at NTAC, my local outdoors site, and what played my first three games with to get my UKARA. They're half-decent and run well. They really need a bucking/nub upgrade to be competitive.

It’s really nice, with good strong recoil. I’ve had a few A1’s and A3’s over the years, but always ended up selling them. I’m intending to keep this one and just finished putting my M203 on it. Just waiting for my trademarked lower coming from KYAirsoft and then it’s all done. As far as GBB M16’s go, for me, WE is the only real option. I think the Golden Eagle one is plastic and the only other option is to build one if you can find all the relevant parts. So if VFC are going to release a range of GBB M16’s, there’s definitely a gap in the market for them. There’s a clearer photo of them from VFC’s Facebook page today. Still can’t tell if they’re gas or not, but I’ve asked the question and waiting for someone to reply.

I presume being MWS compatible, in the worst case you can circumvent any potential inadequacies by uprating parts if they fail. So you may end up with a bit of an expensive Trigger's Broom but at least have something that works rather than say a first gen VFC that either works or it doesn't? That said, anecdotal stuff on Reddit and YouTube seems to suggest this thing is reasonably comparable to a TM.

For me stock performance has been good, just give it a good service. Also check the hammers condition, if it looks well worn replace it for peace of mind as they are a known weak point.

Ive done that with 1000 assorted size wood screws. The plastic container is like a lunchbox and has a handle at the top, but the flap doesn't go over it that handle. SO when you pick it up and it's not clipped at the side, it just falls onto the floor. The worse bit is, it's not like you accomplish anything picking them up and sorting them, you're just back to where you've started.

It's a rite of passage. Was playing a few weeks ago, opened a new 1kg bag of BLS 0.28g BBs to put into my Odin and dropped more than half the bag onto the table & floor ? I think I may invest in a few of those fabric BB bags that have the rigid spouts.

@Herrgh Get lots of those batteries, I seem to go through them way too fast. I'm not sure if the Sotac has an auto-off feature - if it doesn't, my experience says it's too easy to leave a sight left switched on, and the battery is dead within a week! My recent purchases... already mentioned elsewhere, but well feck it Double Eagle M904G from the classifieds... thanks @Speedbird_666, the gnu came in beautiful condition - it gave me that New Gnu unboxing buzz when I got it, very enjoyable Double Eagle Falcon control unit - thanks @JVacation, allowed me to swap the newer, shimmed and lubed gearbox from the 904 to my 906, and end up with two working toys rather than one! As I'm now in possession of a 906 and a 904, I'll probably run up a quick comparison (perhaps with video) of the two gats, which might be useful for future DE purchasers.

Yes I've certainly cured the problem, though I did have one moment when I had the same symptom (when I was doing an initial test with the gearbox out of the receiver). This I took as a hint of a possibility that actually the electronics were ok and it's a mechanical problem with the fine positioning of the selector switch. Regardless, I'm very grateful because the upshot is two working guns ? Next step is to buy that motor from AK2M4, but I've spent too much on Airsoft recently!

Ok so this may sound daft but I’ve been airsofting for about 15 years now and been using this for roughly the same amount of time and it works ok be prepared to be amazed and it’s something that most of us having lying around the house, especially a few weeks after Christmas when we have finished up those quite frankly unwanted gifts from relatives….. a lynx body wash bottle. Obviously make sure it’s clean and totally dry first but trust me, they work perfectly. Fit great into an M4 mag pouch, holds probably a thousand or so rounds, remove the cap and the pouring spout is great for filling high caps and speed loaders. And unless you’re getting really low on ammo, it doesn’t rattle anywhere near as much as you’d think it would.
