  1. A properly frosty game on site today Still, not satisfied with my hop & accuracy But being able to hit something is only really 20% of what matters when you love the way it looks 😂

  5. Been trying to sign up for the last few months but it looks like the email side of it went pear shaped 🤷‍♂️ Been playing airsoft for the last year at a local site in essex, For some reason i cannot even remember why i bought a 2 tone airsoft gun, Since then done the ukara and the collection has now grown to 2 gas pistols 1 gas gun 3 aeg m4 variants 1 sniper rifle Ronin conversion kit Still trying to work out which loadout suits me best depending on which game is being played and losing the odd bit of kit here and there running around like a Blue arsed fly in the middle of forests on an early sunday morning is quite entertaining Definitely hooked on it and started bringing the grandson along aswell to get him to have some sort of "normal" day at least once a week which doesn't Involve TikTok or being stuck in front of a Pc all day, He seems to be taking to it quite well 👌😊

  6. There's been some interesting stuff at the MOA pop up, especially in the GBB department. The thing I've already bought in my head was the Spas 12 that popped up inexplicably sitting next to golden eagles gas Shotgun range.

  10. Numbers are low these days, but we finally managed to have a day out shooting. I managed to "fix" my AK, when I plugged the battery in, though, the nozzle decided to leak like crazy which made the gun unusable.. So back to ol' reliable (KA PDW). Games went well, we had a few people who were trying out Airsoft for the first time and overall a fun, cold day. Also had the chance to share some of my teching knowledge with a couple of people, so hopefully they won't make silly purchases based on YouTube reviews

  12. Thanks for the input, especially on the MOSFET side of things. I've shot an email to a local tech/store who just so happen to stock both of the MOSFETs you mentioned. I've detailed that I would like the original battery connections swapping to deans and fuse removing if possible so i'll see what they come back with. Soldering & mosfet installs are over my head. I only intended on changing the gears because the ones in the gun must be stock and are already showing signs of wear. Might as well change them given how inexpensive a new set is. @Tactical Pith Helmet I did intend to install everything sequentially for this very reason in case I buggered anything up.

  13. Changing more than one component at a time makes problem solving extremely difficult. Mosfet fitted - test. Motor changed - test again. Add 11.1 and test. If you want more development after that, it's exponentially more work.

Ordered and paid for the calendar. It's a small price for the calender but hopefully it will help with the work you are doing for an often overlooked issue that affects a lot of men. Good luck with the charity👍 Now begins the battle for wall space. My Airsoft pics or her Johnny Depp pics (I think we know who will win.......) Regards

  19. Absolute comedy of errors today. Still managed to have fun, but holy crap was it annoying. I literally forgot my shirt. Not joking, I totally forgot to bring my MARPAT combat shirt so I had to play the whole day (as a ghillie sniper with a ghillie cape) in a black fleece instead. Good thing I practice like this during the summer, so I knew my camo and concealment fundamental skills are good and I knew what I could do and get away with having the entire front of my torso just not camo'd up at all! First game started, I was really hyped to play as injury and gun issues have stifled my last few game days and we were playing a part of the site we never play, which I feel we need to play more because it's great. I spend 20 minutes fighting through thick, overgrown foliage (lots of stamping down on thorns to clear a path) getting into a stupid sneaky position with my HPA VSR, which I decided to run today because it was 5 degrees celcius so not the best weather for gas guns. Got into the position, could see the whole enemy team from a lovely elevated but still well concealed hide on the flank. Lined up my first shot, pulled the trigger aaaaaaaand... click. Solenoid activated and no air came out. Checked my tank and it was empty, so I have a leak somewhere. Tested my hicapa back in the safe zone and one of the mags feed lips decided they didn't want to be there any more and sheared off, snapping and flying off somewhere. The spring and follower thankfully remained in the magazine, but need new feed lips for one of my hicapa mags now. Ugh! Went back to the safe zone and sighted in my m700 that I also brought as a backup. I brought my 2J m700 build since the sight lines are longer at Worthing through the winter and as it was 2J on 144a in 11 degrees celcius, so I figured with more powerful gas it'd be fine at 5 celcius. Went to chrono it with the ASG ultraair I have (which is a little bit stronger than standard green gas, let alone 144a) and it was coming up between 0.9J at the lowest and 1.16J at the highest. Not what I wanted, but at least it was working, conveniently without any MED, and it was sailing the .48s out there so I went out to use that after lunch and had a LOT of fun. On a timed attack and defend game I was the only one who went around on one flank and kept about 10 people occupied by myself (and started picking them all off as they couldn't pinpoint or hit me). Was a lot of impact and I ran out of ammo (3x 28rd mags goes fast fighting 10 people, though I can usually make them last!) Got back to the safe zone afterwards, packing stuff away aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... the AEP lipo in my mp7 tears the end off when I take it out, totally breaking the battery. I go to tape it up so I can battery bin it tomorrow (my local Lidl has a battery bin) and it starts sparking and burning through the tape. The site tech basically pulls the metal contacts off the wires inside so it no longer does that and I tape it all up for the battery bin tomorrow. I can't think of much more that could've realistically gone wrong, but I still managed to get out there and have a bit of fun. Christmas game next game day, so I'm thinking of wearing some festive reindeer antlers and taking a bolt action rifle; usually reindeer are the hunted, so I'm going to turn that around and have the reindeer become the hunter 😈

Saw this on reddit, looks like it has multiple air source options, as well as lots of dress up parts.

  21. If you can get 100 / 200 + rounds out of it on a single “fill” I’ll be happy chugging that around for the fun factor however impractical. Chatter my teeef VFC.

Second the statement about facepro....used to never use it and just accept guys shooting their load on my face. But after one BB hitting me open mouth and getting swallowed, once the flashbacks to catholic school passed I vowed to use facepro. Also, before the game starts get you and your mates to shoot each other first. It'll get you over the anxiety of "does it hurt" and help you enjoy the game from the get go. It's what I did with my 12 year old nephew admittedly I got a bit too much joy from shooting him but the little fucker kept taking the piss out of my name so worth it. Enjoy the game call the hits and enjoy the game.its not about getting kills it's about playing the objective helps to think that way so that you don't get wound up if you think people aren't calling hits.

  23. With tuddenham, I'd recommend taking a small respawn bag with you and either leaving it near the road or at your respawn. You either gather near the road between games or the road is part of your way back. Leaving it at your respawn can be quite a walk there and back which is annoying after a full session of games. In it should be enough to see you through the morning/afternoon, so extra bbs, a snack, water, any extra pyro, a spare battery, spare eye pro etc.

  24. In the absence of a well attended airsoft forum in my country, I thought I'd give it a try in the UK. I am certainly not a beginner in the game (more than 2 years in the game) but due to a lot of setbacks in the field of replica technique I have not had much time to play in those more than two years. First, many repairs were done by shops, but after several unimaginable bad experiences I started working on the replicas myself, without any knowledge of the matter at the time but I've learned a lot. Now I'm able to do everything myself. In the meantime I am finishing the repairs on my MTW, (what my first question is about that i will post), also there is a Glock 17 waiting to be put together with upgrades and then the replicas will have to be tested before I go back into the woods in good spirits! Playing style is mainly DMR, outdoor of course, think of the lone wolf that circles around the heat and makes his own plan. Hope to learn more here at AFUK.

  25. Hi, Another new player here! I've just booked onto my first game at a CQB site near me and kinda wondering what I've signed up for! Having never fired anything more than spring weapons in my back garden I'm pretty much clueless! I've got a mask to wear and a cheerful disposition, is that enough? Any idea of what the actual process is on the day? Ta

    THE TM MWS thread

Some pics on the way, lower is pretty much done now, was somewhat of a hassle to fit the selector switch. Used the pin from an iron airsoft MWS ambi selector and grinded it to the same specs as the RS selector switch pin. Worked out great, some minor filing on the trigger guard was required to align the holes for the screws, nothing major though and not visible when mounted on the lower. Now its "just" the rethreading on the buffer tube thread left Some parts on the parts, the modifications on the selector pin and then the lower. Finally my MWS DMR build (semi locked high FPS), fielded for the first time this weekend and it sure did give the bolty snipers a run for their money xD
