  1. This is one of those times when although you can quite easily come up with a long winded rant on why someone is talking absolute bollocks you realise that there is a much easier way so........ @AirSnipershut up you absolute and utter cunting cockwomble

  2. That reminds me- i still need to pick my m14 up of him (the one he did the tech video on a few weeks ago) Also, you can monetise gun videos on YT, you can jut get de-monetised easily.

  3. My thoughts on negative airsoft. The information that is delivered is clear, concise, has some humour and is entertaining. His enthusiasm for his hobby/job is clear and his opinion on brands and parts etc appear truthful. I appreciate the content and I wish him the best on continuing.

  5. Do you imagine that the answer will come within an airsoft-mile of the truth? I also enjoy this place as a break from the Twatbooks, but in some cases that means making liberal (small l) use of the ignore feature.

  7. Thoughts on Negative Airsoft: A very opinionated chap who sometimes exaggerates (for effect?); the Ares L1A1 is not great but it is not THAT bad. Extremely good at what he does, very helpful and does not rip people off. I messaged him one evening a couple of weeks ago about an issue I was having with an AEG and, to my surprise, he got back to me really quickly and steered me in the right direction.

  8. I don't know the exact details as I was nowhere near it, but from what I understand it was a collision with a player where they didn't see each other. Wasn't just a tumble, it was an assisted tumble. Not sure if I'm one of the two people, as I wasn't shouting praises but at the same time I wasn't entirely negative about the event. As I posted in the other thread, I had fun and enjoyed the weekend. The negatives were that there were too many players for the site, leading to meat grinder chokepoints, not enough marshalls for the too many players and some truly special players who used the godmode cheat before we started playing which was only made worse by not having enough marshalls. There were a lot of great people there, but there were also a lot of utter twats though a lot of the former left early and Sunday was much improved for it! The lack of chrono wasn't as big a deal for me as when I started airsoft nobody chronoed and there were never issues as well as Vietnam games typically not running a chrono and never having any issues, though from what I've heard they really needed to because airsofters nowadays are a truly special bunch; apparently one of the speedsofters on the tan team was running a HPA pistol on .32s at 500fps, or around 3.7J once you do the maths. A bit much for CQB. The only other negative I can think of was a personal one; they didn't allow BASRs at all, even if they were 1J and running .28s like every AEG, and as I've gone on about earlier in the thread the "DMR" rules were pointless. I would've loved to bring one of my 1J BASRs to play how I did (it would've worked well) or at least my m21 (though that's a personal regret as there were no rules against that for me). So, that's a bunch of negatives, so how did I have fun? I basically just played it my own way and had a lot of fun doing so. Working out where the long distance and/or concealed firing positions were, and making myself as small a target as possible was enjoyable and I got some amazing shots with the MWS, though I actually wish I brought the HPA m21 instead with a GBB pistol sidearm rather than a GBBR MWS and a NBB mk23 sidearm. None of my guns are as consistent on .28s, which I was running because I wasn't about to be a cheater by using heavier ammo than what was allowed, and shots were nowhere near as accurate as I'm used to, so I'm setting them all back to .32s this weekend! And it was a good workout, though I won't be repeating the experience; I far prefer my lightweight sniper setups. I took my heaviest loadout with the MWS and 8 gas magazines (1 in the MWS, 7 in the kit) inside a plate carrier with weighted training plates and on the belt with 4 spare pistol mags. I think all in all I was carrying about 20kg of kit and because I didn't bring any alternatives I kept it all loaded up all weekend. I was so dead on Sunday evening 🤣 Also, the social side was fantastic. Hanging out with a bunch from Worthing Airsoft was really fun and meeting other like-minded individuals on green team was just as good. There were plenty of great people there who acknowledged that we were a bunch of nerds playing silly BB wars in a disused shopping mall. Again, I posted it in the other thread as well, but we found a pile of assorted mall junk including a bunch of clothing so naturally the only way we were going to the day #2 brief was in "costume"

  9. As a former custom painter, he's right. Sort of. The compressor will always create condensation because of humidity in the air, as the air direct from a compressor (and to an extent from its attached reservoir) is still warm from being compressed, moisture can be retained for a while before dropping out even with a moisture trap if it's mounted too close to the compressor. By extending the hose you increase the cooling time for the air so the dewpoint changes and more moisture drops out of suspension. THEN you put an extra trap on the far end of your airline to catch those (bigger) drops or even put one on the feed to your airbrush like this: Which is how I ran all of mine (although I had a QD fitting on the bottom too). This is the compressor I used to use by the way: PROPERLY quiet. I used it in the spare bedroom of a terraced house built in the 60's (from cardboard and spit) and never had any complaints.

  11. Electronic Paintball guns have been using optical eyes for years (nearly 20 actually) to prevent chopping. The technology is well proven in greasy and dirty conditions, assuming it's been implemented right by G&G.

  12. Ah, the old freedom of speech bullshit. Freedom of speech is non existent on privately owned social media platforms as when you use them you're agreeing to their terms and conditions, break them and they're well within their rights to give you the boot. Quite simply freedom of speech does not equal freedom from consequences.

  13. No offence, but the reason I enjoy chatting with like minded airsoft addicts on here (and avoid fb etc) is that this kind of stuff is usually not a feature. I must still ask though... Did you help found UKF? Your concerns seem to be similar to Robin Page's.

  17. Okay, not technically a joke, but something that happened at work... Guy brings his car in with a list of issues he'd like looking at. Amongst the issues: "Rear doors can't be opened from the inside". Guess what? Uh-huh. CHILD LOCK. Located on the driver door by the window controls. 🤦🏼

  19. Higher fps doesn't equal more range. A decent hop unit and barrel would be a better investment. Keeping below the 1.1j will mean you don't have to worry about a MED and you still have full auto for those ooh shit moments. Also any half decently run site will insist you also carry a secondary for the closer engagements

  20. I know what you mean, i dropped a mag in a load of wet plaster board a few weeks ago, yuk. I found if I hook the follower with the tip of the speed loader then seat the loader into the feed tube the follower gets fed back into the mag. Trying to do it upside down for the camera is a pain but hopefully you get the idea. 20221005_154940.mp4

I think it's got a recoil system, and is allegedly long ranged and accurate. I was impressed when I watched videos about the guns, but that was a while ago now. So my question mark was genuine, in that I don't know if it's actually a good system or not

  26. Strange, the two people shouting the praises haven't been back on this thread to tell us how wrong we were..... Also as a point of order, if your head marshal "takes a tumble" that needs hospital....what kinda site are you using?!

  27. It’s a fully automatic assault rifle and so is limited to 350 fps which it can’t even reach, I’m trying to get a marksman since my site allows them to go up to 425 and most of the map is very open and long distance.

  28. Interesting, yes. Also complicated and proprietary. Lots of innovative features but the "quick change mosfet" suggests they think it might be a consumable part! I like that it does stop on empty with regular mags but I can see the optical sensor failing and causing problems.

  31. Had this little 8L Hyundai down my shed for a year or so to run a small nailer/2nd fix while I was cladding a garden cabin: It's really quiet in use - not fridge-quiet like some can be, but is not loud enough to be offensive when used in the house - my missus hasn't moaned about it anyway! I've got a table-mounted Sparmax regulator (same as what's fitted to their dedicated Airbrush Compressors) on the end of a 1.8m hose to the compressor - I was told by a friend that builds models that putting a regulator directly on the compressor reduces the effectiveness of it's moisture trap? I have no idea if that's true of not but I followed his advice and it makes pressure adjustment quicker/easier. I want to put some Tamiya AFVs together - along with the odd Gundam/Sci-fi kit as well.

  34. I never stated that you were a right winger; I could not care less what your politics are. I do, however, apologise for not realising that you were using "snowflakes" as a compliment. I am sure that you get a kick out of mansplaining to those uppity women; I am sure that it gives them a positive view of you and opens them up to the arguments that you are making.

  35. So much to unpack here. But I can't be arsed. This is an Airsoft forum - can we keep 'Left' and 'Right' politics out of it?
    1 point
  36. Using the term "snowflakes" is, in itself, an insult; strangely, it is a term that seems to be most often used by people who are offended by those who disagree with them. People have different values, standards and views; learn to live with it. If you keep breaching FB's and YT's community standards, people will report it, not because they are "upset" but because you have breached the standards. I have had a few FB bans in the past when I have been overly harsh in "discussion" with right wingers and racists. You just have to learn to play within the rules. Your comment on "feminists" is possibly rather more revealing than you realise; combined with some of your posts on here, it provides quite an interesting insight into the person behind the username.

  37. Its not an insult, it the sad reality on social media these days, snowflakes get offended and they will cancel and report people for things that they are upset about. I comment on facebook posts daily and get dog piled by feminists who got offended by the very fact a man spoke some logic or pointed out the flipside (aka reality) and they get offended over anything. Its easy to do as well, all you have to do is point out a basic fundamental irrefutable fact that can be easily looked up and verified or state something logical, they get all annoyed and this year have racked up 3 months in facebook gulag. The same applies to YT and when snowflakes report youtubers. You watch Donut Operator and he will often be heard commenting on about having to be careful to not get community guideline strikes because someone got upset.

    AI500 2022

I would imagine, as with many non Airsoft events, people go for the event itself, much like NAF. It's not just the airsoft, it's the size of it, the social aspect etc. And then, taking music festivals in as an example, some can be utter shit shows but still make money every year. There's one metal festival I won't go to for various reasons, but the final deciding factor for me is that the regular crowd consists of utter tossers. And I'm not the only one that feels that way. But it's a big event, makes loads of cash, despite even the regulars thinking the organisers are assholes and complaining vociferously about the event on social media. But they all go again next year. Airsoft events as big as NAF and AI500 aren't really that widespread, as they're a ball ache to put on, so for those that want a BIG experience they don't have that much choice. None of the above excuses the poor organisation I've been hearing about from AI500 AGAIN, just musing on why people keep going back.

Completely embarrassed, the guy slinks back to his table with a red face. After a few minutes, the woman walks over to him and apologizes. She smiles and says, "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. I'm a graduate student in psychology, and I'm studying how people respond to embarrassing public situations." To which the guy responds as loudly as possible, "What do you mean £200 for a blow job!
