So this happened... I wasn't sure about ordering it with some of the advice I had been given recently, but once the pre-order option popped up I just had to do it! Apparently there is going to be a shortage of mags initially so ordered 4 extras for now. With any luck i'll get it in two weeks. I just cant get enough of the Tavor...2 points

Human nature is knowing that it's stupid to take apart a gearbox in the garden because you'll lose something, doing so anyway and then losing something.2 points

Custom paint work
FreeFrag.UK and one other reacted to GearTech for a topic
Most of my paint jobs range in price from £70-£100. Something like an M4 in a worn tan with one mag would be the £70 option. The Templar m4 wouldn't actually be much much as there weren't that many colours used. Probably £80. Prices climb a little if it's something like the HALO or Boba Fett finish as thete is more masking involved. In general though all paint finishes are £100 or under. Only time it goes above that is when there are multiple mags and attachments that all need painting too. I've been told I'm too cheap but being a married man with 2 kids myself I know a lot of folks don't have cash to splash about and I enjoy doing them and seeing the reactions they get. Hope that helps. The jacket was my first go at distressing clothing. On one side, the dirtier looking side, I used a lot of acrylic spray paint and really thinned down oil paints to give the appearance of stains. On the other I used a sludge that came out of the heating system when we were putting in a new kitchen. The paints work as you woukd expect but give the material a bit of a stiff feel to them. The sludge worked just like a dye and left the fabric nice and soft. I need to get hold of some 'Dirty Down' fabric crayons as they would be much better for around the cuffs, collar, elbows, etc. I'm also going to get some black and brown clothes dye to play about with. So far it's all been an experiment. Posted below are a few more pics as I've added some stencils and a back pack. Still quite a bit to do but it's good fun.2 points -

Arl lock up. Remove motor and grip then using a pair of needle nose pliers pull ARL down should hear the gears release.2 points -

I think he meant testing your gear (kit, equipment etc), not the gears in the gun. Of course I could have totally misread it 😉 I.e. check everything works, you have all the bits you need, battery charged. Adjust JPC correctly set up if you have one, try everything on/out beforehand etc. Cheers G2 points -

Hyphestus do the original Tar-21 that’s based on GHK g5 internals. Not sure how readily available they are though.1 point -

If you go through the checkout procedure to "shipping" it will give you an option for Royal Mail small packages which is about £5. I think its a website design issue where a default shipping option price is shown before the actual shipping selection page. As I have only bought local I couldn't comment!1 point

Saw your post and thought “ooh discounted kit !” I’m a sucker for sales goods . so had a look put a ‘moderate’ order together went to pay AND they want £9 postage ! They can well and truly foxtrot off ! No wonder I buy (as do a lot of others) kit from overseas when UK retailers take the piss like that ! 🤬1 point

Yup! KWA OEM. I am surprised at the speed it is coming out as well. Hell I am surprised anyone is even bothering to make a GBB Tavor at a commercial level.1 point

THE TM MWS thread
Lifted_ranger reacted to Wo1f for a topic
Had a couple of people asking me about this so I figured I’d so somewhat of a guide. Semi auto conversion: For those of you wanting to DMR your MWS, you’ll need to remove the option of full auto as it’s the general rule for most sites. It’s simple to do and this is how you do it.. Split the lower and push down the hammer until the seers click in place, like so: Turn your selector in between semi and full auto, like this: Push from the other side with your finger and twist/wiggle the selector as you’re pulling it from the switch side. It should pull free from the gun. From there you need to take a dremel (or file if you’re feeling energetic) and alter the selector ‘barrel’. Here is a standard ‘full auto’ selector and a modded one: the piece you grind off is is what makes contact with the full auto sear. With it gone, it can’t possibly go into full auto. Now that you’re done, you just have to reinstall. The only difference from taking it out is you need a screwdriver or anything thin to poke a plate and a detent out of the way. Videos if my instructions weren’t overly clear: removal: install: Hope this helps! Any questions, give me a shout.1 point -

Oh she's not a veggie I was just quoting Pulp Fiction as it was quoted before me haha! But I appreciate the feedback as it's the gun I needed to have! I'm going to give it a good clean; well as far as my knowledge takes me on cleaning it. Not sure on how I'd test the gears on it though. If you'd put a link or any advice, that would be welcome.1 point -
I know it’s a real “how longs a piece of string?” question and on your web page you’ve got a ‘get a quote’ section but what I was hoping for is you’d be able to tell us a VERY ruff ballpark figure for an M4 to be painted in something like one of your Templar type paint jobs ? Reason here not there is I was recently talking about your work and now know of a few players (like my self) who’d love one of your paint jobs but A; are not 100% sure about what to have done and B; all being family men don’t want too get all excited about a job AND then realize we can’t afford it ! 😭 Do realise exelent custom work like yours isn’t cheap but hopefully you can see where I’m coming from ? cheers bud .👍1 point

Nice starter gun you got there , will work well in and outdoors . may think you look like a right Ming but testing your gears all good before you go scurmishing is a what needs to be done , too many times you see guys farting around with there gear on the day and wasteing time geting it right . you want to get that woman in order matey , if she’s a veggie good for her , but if you want meat ? You have some . If meat is murder , then murder tastes goooooooooddddddd ! 😍1 point

No that was me, see page 20 of Share a Bargain and my Moderator message. "I believe that The "Share a Bargain" Thread should only contain posts about bargains. It is a topic to help forum members save some money on items. If you want to discuss different brands then create a new topic. Therefore, I have removed recent unnecessary posts and moved them into a new topic called "Member rants and One Tigris" (could not think of a suitable title). " So true.1 point -

Sounds about right, tried to return my outerbarrel to SCOM and got nothing but shit head emails written by a child. Literally the worst business customer service ever had. I ended up cancelling the return, want nothing to do with SOCOM ever again. Useless, beligerant and utter cunts.1 point

Managed to pick up some reduced eye pro from Pro Airsoft Supplies. Bolle Iris Twilight for 4 quid, Bolle Rush+ Smoke for 3 quidish. More importantly picked up the kick ass Edge SBR610 for just £33 quid. Some of the best glasses you can get for non fogging and has a pretty good seal against my face considering its not full seal goggles.0 points
